This was a DNF from me, I just couldn’t quite understand the colour concept in the book.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This is a nice enough book but I was really frustrated because it's all about color and there is no color in it! I really wanted illustrations, photos, examples, COLOR. It's a long black and white text.

Chapters include how colors affect us, how to use color in your wardrobe and home, how to find your "season" to know what colors flatter you, and a lot more. I didn't think the season thing was still a thing. I remember it from the 80's or 90's and it was kind of hokey even then. I tried to determine mine again and I even looked online when none of it really matched, but I still don't know. The fact that I'm a redhead complicates things, I think, because I wear colors that compliment my hair (like green, black and gold) even if they supposedly are "wrong" for my fair skin. I just wear what looks good, and I don't like the idea of not getting to wear entire categories of colors because they're not your match anyway.

It's a fun book and will be well suited for people who want to learn more about color theory, the effects of colors on moods, etc. I really wish it was well illustrated in color though.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.
