Lisa Jackson knows how to write a compelling and riveting suspense novel. I was captivated by this book from page 1. It was a twisty book that kept me guessing. The characters were interesting. I enjoyed the storyline very much! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. When Kara was seven, several members of her family were murdered. Her step brother was arrested for the murders. Her step brother is released a couple decades later proclaiming his innocence. It will take everything Kara has to remember what happened. This book kept me interested from the start.

Another great read by Lisa Jackson. The story grabbed me from the start and I really enjoyed it. But, this book is more gory than normal

As a fan of Lisa Jackson I was not disappointed by the newest mystery. Characters that are easy to like, enough suspense and drama to make this a pageturner. Highly recommend!

Kara McIntyre’s brother was charged and convicted with the murders of her family twenty years ago, and while she survived, she’s still dealing with the emotional fallout. Now, her brother has been released from prison and her sister, whom Kara hasn’t heard from since the murders, has resurfaced. And now killings begin again, and as people close to Kara die, she knows she has to uncover the truth about what really happened that long ago Christmas Eve, or she won’t live to see another. Jackson has been turning out reliably suspenseful stories for decades now, and she still manages to produce original content and interesting characters. A must for her legion of fans
