When Elle pursues a suggestion to bolster her struggling publishing company with a magazine devoted to cycling, she winds up in the path of Simon, owner of a custom bike company. She may have just met him, but he knows exactly who she is--the daughter of the owners of a tabloid that caused his family a lot of pain. Simon wants to get close to Elle in order to finally exact revenge on the people who upended his childhood but finds, as in most cases, that things are more complicated than he imagined.

The details about cycling and camping were very interesting--following along on a trip Simon and Elle took made it seem very appealing! The chemistry and steam between the two was also quite enjoyable. What didn't work so well for me was the tendency to "tell" rather than "show" throughout the story and the inconsistency in Simon's character. His vacillation between attraction to Elle and desire for revenge goes on longer and deeper into their relationship than was comfortable, to the point where he's a bit hard to root for as a romantic hero. Still, this might be a very good fit for biking and outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy a spicy romance!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This is one of their books where the description is actually more interesting than the book. Based on the description I thought there would actually be a revenge plot and Simon would need to convince Elle of his true feelings for her, but in the end, they just go on a weekend bike and camping trip and fall madly in love with one another. I felt like the author spent too much time on the biking trip and not enough time on developing these characters and their love story. They go from physically attracted to one another to one heartfelt conversation to getting engaged without there being any real moments of connection. It's also tough to feel too bad for two beautiful rich people. The best scene in the entire book is the one between Simon and Elle's father, it's the most honest moment in the story. I was also expecting more of a confrontation between Simon and Elle once she learns he was initially only interested in her in order to find a way to destroy her and her family. But all you get is her telling him to move on from his past. I also feel like we missed out on another character development moment by not getting the scene where Simon talks with his father. This could have been much better had there just been some more character development rather than so much detail about the camping trip.

***Her Charming Entanglement is a story about a magazine publisher, Elle, and producer of bicycles, Simon, who meet while trying to decide if a business relationship would be advantageous. The producer, however has an ulterior motive because Elle’s parents own the tabloid that had destroyed his family. Things get complicated when the two can’t overcome the attraction and begin a personal relationship. The story has heat, angst and interesting situations, but overall it’s your typical lust/love at first site with lots of sex/ romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley.

The story of Elle and Simon.

She wants his help in launching a new magazine aimed at cyclists. He just wants to punish her family for the pain they cause him and his family years ago.
As the spend time together, the lines get blurred, so is he still out for revenge?

A great read. I liked how it was told from both of their points of view

I found this book very middle of the road I wasn’t that interested in the story and I didn’t love the characters it was mainly just okay. I did feel like there were some parts where stuff was over explained or characters were stating something very obvious that didn’t need to be expressed. I did not feel a connection between the two characters it just wasn’t there for me.
