Lily Sparks second book picks up where the last book left off. On the run from the being turned into assassins, our main characters must evade not only their friends who didn't escape, but also the general public. I like that our female lead now has more skills than she did coming in to the first book and I think that made the rest of the book feel smoother. The relationship blooming between Erik and Signal, though, made me uncomfortable because it felt pushy. Overall this was a good follow up to the first book and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

As readers will recall from the first book, we discovered that Signal was innocent and that she was set up and it was Rose's mother who killed her daughter as she was becoming a threat. We also discovered that Rose's mother was a former participant at the Teen Killer Camp when she was younger and that Rose's dad is one of the instructors. Signal was the perfect scapegoat for the crime. At the camp, she met the other Class A's who had all killed people, but she soon discovered that they aren't all complete psychos, especially Erik Wylie-Stanton who is considered to be the Worst Class A with 10+ kills under his belt. In Book #2 Teen Killers in Love, Erik and Signal have managed to disable their kill switches and are on the run to not only clear Signal's name but also find a way to disable all of the kill switches once and for all and expose the underbelly and the dark truth of the camp. Along the way, we also learn more about Erik's background and how he came to be at the camp, and the truth behind the kills which will make you feel sympathy and start to see Erik in a whole new light, the same goes with the character Nobody. I have to admit that reading this book and learning the reasons behind the kills, does make you think about how often in real life teens are either forced to kill or kill because they have no other way to escape the horrible situation life has put them in like girls who kill their Pimps, etc. I am now looking forward to reading Book #3 and hoping that Erik and Signal finally get a HEA and both of their names cleared. If you love YA thrillers with a Bonnie and Clyde feel mixed with the modern world of social media, and technology then this is the series for you.

I liked TKC and I really tried to get into this next installment, but it’s just not for me. I think the subject matter is just too much - so much discussion of violence.

This was such a fantastic read! I loved the first book, and the fact that we got a sequel made me really happy! I had such a great time watching these characters deal with the fallout of the first book, of proving Signal's innocence, while on the run!

When I finished the first book, I wasn't sure if this was going to be a series or not. And I'm so glad that it is, there was so much left to do, and I had a blast watching it all go down! I loved being back with these characters, as they worked to prove that this class system was broken!

This book focuses on Signal and Erik, which I really enjoyed. He's a master manipulator, and he made a bet that he could make her fall in love with him. So it's hard to know if she could actually trust that they had a real relationship. So that was an interesting dynamic! And on top of that, we got his story, of his 10, and

I'm really excited about the fact that there's going to be a 3rd book! I want to see this system taken down, as well as Erik's brother, and for these characters to find peace. They've been through a lot in these books, and things aren't finished yet, but it's close and I can't wait!

I really liked this sequel but not nearly as much as I loved the first book. The first book had me hooked from the first line, this one fell a little flat for me.

Unfortunately this did not live up to the first book in the series, which had such an intriguing concept and engaging storyline. This book was boring by comparison and a bit of a let down.

It’s rare to see a series go from a five-star first book to a one-star second book, but here we are.

When reading the first book in this series, I remember thinking it was odd that the title was so cringe, because it was such a fun and well-written story. This time around, the cringe is kind of perfect for the story we get.

Part of the problem is that what started as an excellent suspense thriller style plot has now devolved into an angsty romance. Some of this is a personal preference issue for me, but the whole thing seems so badly conceived and so far off from where the series started that I’m not sure if it really matters if you’re into dramatic romances or not.

Some of the problem for me was the audiobook version. The narrator is…not good. I’ve encountered her before, typically in young adult books, and her near hysterical, over the top style is pretty much unlistenable because it’s so hammy and overwrought, and it makes a plot overrun with absurd teen angst even more unpalatable.

I’m surprised that the author took this turn, because the first book was so measured and smart about the way it built suspense. Signal was never an exceptionally good protagonist, but she was certainly likable enough at the outset of the series. In this book she becomes maudlin and screechy. And Eric, well, he was already fairly unappealing and now he’s…worse.

I still recommend the first book in this series because it’s such a fun ride. But I now also recommend quitting while you’re ahead and not continuing the series.

I absolutely loved the first book in the series, Teen Killers Club, so I couldn't wait to start this one. Although I didn't enjoy it quite as much, it was still such a fun read! I don't want to say too much and spoil the first one for you, so I'll leave this one short and sweet. From the ending, I'm fairly certain Sparks will be giving us another book in the near future.

This book is the 2nd in the series but I read it without reading the first.

Jumping straight in at the action was very exciting. Signal is on the run with Eric and out to clear her name. There is a touch of romance but Eric is a serial killer which would make anyone put there guard up.

I adored Teen Killers Club and while I enjoyed this book I didn't like it as much as the first. It was a little slow to start and had too much relationship drama for my taste. It did pick up about halfway and I couldn't wait to see how it would end. I am really looking forward to the next book after that ending. If you enjoyed the first book, then this is a must read. Definitely a series that deserves more hype.

I need a third book! That ending crept up on me and I didn’t even realize it was ending until the last line. This one had lots of action and excitement, but it still took the time to work on the bonds and relationships between the members of the Teen Killers Club. I love this found family the group has created for themselves, and I love how they have each other’s backs. There were a lot of twists and turns in the plot, and it kept me guessing as it unfolded.
I really liked the progression of the friendships between Signal, Nobody, and Jada. And I loved learning more about Nobody’s past. Her character is so intriguing, and her friendship with Signal is really sweet.
Signal’s relationship with Erik was also really fun to read about. There’s a lot of back and forth between them because of Erik’s manipulative abilities, but it made them feel more real. I was rooting for them the whole time. I really liked learning about Erik’s past, and his connection to camp was shocking and heartbreaking.
I read this whole thing in one sitting. Signal’s voice comes through really well, and the writing style is easy to follow. I got completely lost in this story, and I’ll be desperately hoping for another book.

Lily Sparks is freaking brilliant! This all has so much depth and creativity, from plot to pacing to characters to just down-right awesomeness that my mind is constantly blown every time the page is turned. Read the first book first (it’s slightly better, but just barely) then this. After all, we aren’t savages here. Or are we?

This is a cute/twisted love story with Class A teenage killers trying to escape a camp that forces them to kill people. It feels very slasher movie-esque and it’s a wild ride. Signal had been wrongfully convicted of murdering her best friend, and Erik is trying to help her prove her innocence and get the camp closed for good, and hopefully do away with the system that classifies teen criminals and forces them to go to camp in the first place. This book picks up where the first leaves off and gives the reader more answers and more of the characters they love.

when teen killers club dropped two years ago, i was OBSESSED. it was a whirlwind of a novel that felt witty and dark and somehow poignant, too - with an endearingly violent (violently endearing?) motley crew cast at its core, book 1 of this series seriously captured my heart. it also ended on a cliffhanger, and i was dying, pun intended, to read the sequel.

unfortunately, teen killers in love just didn't hit the same for me as did its predecessor. where book 1 felt novel and fresh and pee-my-pants funny, book 2 fell a little flat in its reliance on the romance between signal and erik. (although, with a title like teen killers in love, should i have expected otherwise?? maybe that's on me...)

in book 1, i was gripped by signal's plight (who framed her for the murder of her best friend? how will she possibly survive teenaged assassin camp when she's a vegetarian, faints-at-blood softie?) - in book 2, i felt lacklustre about signal and erik's mission, especially the part where erik feels he has to prove signal isn't a class A so that he can somehow redeem himself. teen killers in love felt, to me, slower paced, more repetitive, and less engaging than teen killers club.

that being said, i'm definitely going to read more of lily sparks' works! a brain who can come up with the likes of teen killers club has my eternal interest.

💥I highly recommend reading these 2 books together if you haven't already. The story of how these teens are trained and then go on missions are exciting. Plus there is the added mystery of Signal and whether or not she killed her best friend. And then there is a love triangle. SO MUCH HAPPENING! But it was such a good time and I definitely think if you like fast paced YA thrillers, this is for you.

I am new to NetGalley and what a delight to start off with a book from Lily Sparks. I am a professed wimp when it comes to reading thriller or horror books but I was absolutely smitten with the first book in the series, Teen Killers Club. So, if you haven’t already read that one, I recommend you start there.

As a reader I was quickly swept back into the world of “Signal” and her gang of friends from the Teen Killers Club. Signal and Erik have managed to disable their kill switches and are now on a mission to clear Signal’s name. Can they dodge the other Class A’s who have been told to take them out? Can they stay out of the eye of the public since their budding romance went viral at the Cactus Burger? Who will say “I love you” first?

What a fast paced book that was chock-o-block full of thrills, mystery, and romance. I appreciated the deft hand that kept the horror and romance “lite” as I prefer “off the page” for both of those genres. To me this book really reads like it can have a screen adaptation. Come on Netflix! Can I just say the scene with Rose’s mom in the house…Whoa! You get to know characters like “Nobody” and Erik better in this book which helps to round out the story and I am psyched that this series has the potential for a book 3. I can’t wait for my high schoolers to pick this one up and tell me what they think.

I’m not gonna lie – I loved the first book of this series because it had such an interesting plot – teen killers sent to a camp of sorts to learn how to better fight and kill so they could be used as human weapons. Plus I really loved the characters Signal, Erik, and Nobody. So of course when book two dropped I absolutely had to read it. Now, while I enjoyed book two because I simply love the characters, for some reason I couldn’t get that motivated by this book’s plot. I don’t know if this was because of uneven pacing where it was fast-paced for so long and then suddenly stalled at the climax. But I found reading this sequel felt a bit like a chore. I don’t know how I feel about the ending – as it seems like there might be another sequel, and I will read it solely based on my love for the characters, but I really hope that the plot will have better pacing and hold my interest more than this one did.
