This was a very interesting start to this story. I have been excited for Graham's book in this series ever since he was introduced in the first book, and this didn't disappoint. I will definitely finishing this book soon. I'm really excited to see how this couple grows throughout the book. I hope we will see more of the previous relationships in the series, and more of the other siblings. I would give this excerpt a 4 out of 5 rating.

Nobody's Princess ****Extended Preview**** by Erica Ridley

I'm so drawn to both of them and honestly, I fell in love with the entire story. She shows emotions between two people who are just breathless beings and the book left me speechless even though I was able to preview only 4 chapters. Honestly, I can't wait for the release of this book!

Read this book, I promise you will not be disappointed, if the first 4 chapters left me breathless, I'm sure the rest will leave me speechless.

Erica Ridley is one of my new favorite authors. I enjoyed reading this extended preview of Nobody's Princess. I'm going to read the ebook so I can finish the story. Thanks again.

Graham Wynchester has a dream, and he thinks he knows who can fulfil it—the mysterious young woman stirring up minor chaos around town. His intelligence skills are unparalleled (also his acrobatic skills, his sense of style, and his manners), and that intelligence is telling him: she's a princess, and she's the key to getting a member of royalty (any member of royalty) to acknowledge his existence.

She's not a princess.

What Kunigunde is, however, is frustrated by convention—her goal is to work alongside her brothers as a Royal Guard, but as a woman (and a Black woman at that), she's limited in what she's allowed to do. But not to fret...Graham is undeterred by her lack of royal pedigree, and together they're ready to shake things up.

Nothing is clearer from the sample than this: Graham is extra. Capital-E Extra, in fact. This is heterosexual romance, but he'd do well as a hero in a m/m romance based in the fashion world, or maybe the drag world. (Not sure he'd be a drag queen himself—he might wreak dapper havoc behind the scenes instead.) He makes for a very entertaining first few chapters—I suspect that, reading the full book, you'd have to suspend your disbelief and also a lot of your knowledge about Regency-era London (on the plus side, I have very little of that knowledge to suspend), but if you're willing to do that it looks like a total romp. Kunigunde is a little harder to read, but I'll always take a heroine who can hold her own over a heroine dead-set on swooning into the hero's arms.

Thanks to the author and publisher for providing this sample through NetGalley.

It was fun getting to revisit the Wynchesters. I have fallen in love with each one over the series, even though each book can be read as a standalone, I wouldn’t. The ending was fitting and left me with that happy satisfaction after a heartwarming romance. The beginning was definitely a little too long that it dragged on a little. I am glad I stuck with it, because it was rewarding. Book provided by NetGalley.

I received a copy of this sneak peek through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

I once again felt like I was reading a sneak peek for a sequel, but this time I felt a little more in the loop. (Building this blog post proved to me that I was correct in feeling that way as this the third book in a series.) There was more general discussion that helped to clue me in to what was going on. It didn't feel like a rehash to me, but I'm not sure how it would come across to someone who is familiar with the series already.

I was very intrigued by the brief glimpse I got into this story. I want to know more about the Wynchesters, but I really want to know more about Balcovia and the way things work there, and I think that's information I would get from reading this whole book. I'm also pretty sure I would get some romance wrapped up in the mystery or whatever is going on here. This is definitely a book I will be keeping in mind for future reading.

Oh this was a delight! I read the first four chapters if this, it’s a lot more fun than I anticipated. Graham’s sole ambition is to rescue a royal but Kuni is the last person who needs rescuing. I definitely want to read the rest of the book!

Interesting start to the book. From skimming through some other reviews, it seems like some of the characters had been introduced in other books, so perhaps things would have been slightly less confusing if I had read other books. However, based on this preview, I think this book could be sufficiently understandable as a standalone.

I'm not sure if I'll read the full book, as I wasn't really drawn into the story here, though the idea behind it is interesting.

I enjoyed this extended preview of Nobody's Princess. I was a little confused by the characters so it may be hard for some of Ridley's new readers to figure out who everybody is quickly, but the story was interesting and will grab readers.

A slow-burn historical romance and the third book in the Wynchester series. I have not read either of the first two books, nor anything else by Erica Ridley, and this book held its own as a stand alone quite nicely. Tackling social injustice and the meaning of true family are just two themes touched on in this story, with the main topic being the evolving and growing love between Graham and Kuni. I’m appreciative of the publisher starting my Ridley journey and can’t wait to catch up with the rest of this series.

This was only a preview, chapters 1-4, sent as an ARC via NetGalley. I will be finishing this book from another medium as I’m intrigued how the adventures of Kuni and Graham progress.

I haven't read any of this series but the cover and the description immediately pulled me in and made me want to know more. I love that this is a diverse historical romance - there aren't enough of those! I was really intrigued by this preview and I'm looking forward to reading the whole thing.

Thank you Netgalley & Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the preview of this book.

I did not realize before reading the preview that this book is part of a series, so it felt like I had been dropped into a world with characters that I should have already known! I enjoyed the preview, however, and will have to go back to start from the beginning!

Anyone who has read any of this series wants to be Wynchester ! Who wouldn't want to be part of a loving, supportive family. All of the Wynchester are special in their own why. All were adopted by Baron Vanderbean, Marjorie, Elizabeth, Jacob, Chloe, Tommy and Graham. He gave them all a home and helped them to believe in themselves and what they could do together for good.
Faircliffe and Philippa have joined the family thru love and marriage.
Graham is the master of intelligence with a massive collection on everything that goes on in London.
His many notebooks help the family with what every they need for whatever mission comes up. While searching for anything new he come across coded messages that someone, a princess needs recusing.
Graham loves everything to do with Royals, he dreams of meeting a princess.
Kunigunde de Heusch, Kumi has always dreamed of following her family in becoming the first Royal Guardswoman. She has secretly come to London to prove she can gather information better than her two brothers who are already Guardsman. Till she meets Graham and spends time with each of his brothers and sisters. She has never had a family, in Balcovia her and her brother were raised away from their parents. She has looked for someone to believe she was good enough and treat her like a member of the family.
So, what can happen when you put two very dedicated people who have devoted their lives to different plans ? From the first time they meet and speak the attraction was instantaneous. Both felt it and knew they couldn't act on it. His life is in London with his family's mission and her is across the sea in a different county. This is a story of learning, growing , trusting and finding what one can live with and without. Many have said this is not a romance, WHAT !! This is the most romantic story I've read in a long time. The under current between Graham and Kumi feeling as they do but both understanding she is leaving it heart wrenching... one needs to read between the lines to really understand this
great story. There is intrigue, danger, learning and secrets told.
This whole series is not to be missed and should be read in order. I can't wait for the next book
we are giving hints it may be Marjorie's !!
I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it...

I was immediately drawn in by the stunning cover!! Nobody’s Princess seems like an extremely fun, fast-paced adventure. I loved Kuni’s fierce independence and Graham’s determination. It seems clear that these two will get into plenty of romantic shenanigans as they attempt to work towards their goals. I can’t wait to see how things play out! Nobody’s Princess is available July 26, 2022. Thank you to Erica Ridley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and Netgalley for a free extended preview in exchange for honest feedback.

I’m obsessed with the cover. We need more regency romance covers like this. This starts out with an interesting premise. Both Graham and Kuni are strong characters. I’d love to read more of this book since it’s a different type of romance.

Thank you Netgalley & Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the chance to read the first few chapters of Nobody's Princess.

Because of the growing phenomenon of Bridgerton, I love reading regency romance novels, however this particular novel I found hard to get into. At the core of it, I think it's the language, how the author has written the dialogue, especially for her male lead Graham makes him seem younger than what he is. His dream to be a royal by rescuing a princess comes off as an unlikely goal for whatever adult or young adult age he's suppose to be.

I definitely feel like this novel could use some serious revisions and rethinking of calling Graham Kuni's "knight" especially when they just meet.

The premise is what grabbed my attention but my interest lessened as I continued to read the chapter samples. This one was a disappointment, but hopefully changes are made before publication.

So I honestly had never heard of an extended preview before. So I was really confused and thought that maybe I had downloaded incorrectly.

That being said, I can tell that the book will be fun. I’ve read the previous books in the series and the characters are very interesting. I am excited to see Graham with a larger role in the books so I’m happy to see that’s going to happen with him. Having read the previous books I am very hopeful that this one will be good, so as of now, I’m giving the extended preview of four in anticipation of what I know Erica Ridley can do.
