I love single mom and protective men! It is one of my favourite tropes and Rebecca Zanetti hit it out of the park again!
While the deep op books can be read as standalones I don’t think they should be especially this one. Full of our favourite team with possibly some of the cutest and most wholesome moments ever! The suspense was well done and definitely had me guessing at many parts exactly what the bad guy was going to do next.
Jericho was delightful and this book gave me so much more of him. I really loved Gemma too, I loved how much she loved her daughter and all the times she stood up for herself! Another great female character for Zanetti!

Here’s hoping there are many more deep op books to come because I need Millie and Serena plus what about the twins!

Gemma and her daughter have been hiding from her abusive ex. She feels instant chemistry with fellow professor and sexy Brit Jethro. Jethro is more than meets the eye and when Gemma is threatened, he calls on his special ops friends to help protect the woman he know loves. Good amount of suspense but not enough spice and time with the H and h together. I also found some of the spots of the story slow which would have been a good time for the main characters to spend some time together.

Rebecca Zanetti has created a terrific series with Deep Ops. The characters are amazing and the stories are fast pace action, hard to put down thrillers, with romance on the side and lots of witty banter. Most of the familiar characters are on vacation. This book centers on ex MI6, Philosophy professor, Jethro Hanson, who has helped the Deep Ops team in the past. He came to America to make a new life for himself, after his brother, Fletcher, killed their mother. But Fletcher, who is a psychopath, escaped prison, following Jason to DC, killing people (he is a contract killer, but also formerly MI6) and planting evidence that Jason did it. Meanwhile, Serena's friend, Gamma Falls, ran away from her verbally and physically abusive fiancee, when she found out she was pregnant, changing identities and working cash only jobs to stay under the radar. Little did she know that Serena was not only allowing her to stay in her apartment, but was providing her with a whole new family of protectors. My favorite characters of Deep Ops, Wolfe, Roscoe and Kat (no longer pocket size) play significant parts in the story.

I absolutely loved this 5th book in the series. It's not necessary to read the other ones, but visiting with them again is a touch of whimsy that I enjoyed. The characters are so lively and real that it was a pleasure to immerse myself into their personalities. I highly recommend this book to people who like romance and intrigue.

This was my first book in the series and I think I may have missed out by not reading the previous books. This could read as a stand alone, but will definitely keep you on your toes and not understanding the material. I think I would have appreciated the plot more if I understood what was happening, and invested in the characters from previous books. Unfortunately, I’m not that interested in the plot to do so.

Zanetti's suspenses are always thrilling and sexy, and Unforgiven is no different. Jethro wasn't one of the characters who grabbed and held my attention through the series, but his story was just as enjoyable.

Look no further for drama, intrigue, hot ex-spies, and edge-of-your-seat danger.

Gemma Falls and her daughter, Trudy, are hiding from her ex. Her latest refuge is at DC University where she is temporarily taking the place of a good friend. Serena is also friends with Jethro, the sexy British professor who shares Gemma’s love for game theory. Jethro has his own vengeful stalker, but Gemma is a mystery he itches to solve, and soon her troubles also become his troubles.

Gemma and Jethro did not hit it off at first. She did her best to keep him at a distance and that just drew him in even more. Both are complex characters with haunting pasts that have finally caught up to them. The chemistry between them was sizzling and I loved how they worked together, even if it took a while to get there.

Jethro is trying to figure Gemma out, keep her safe, and fight off the authorities. Luckily, he has the Deep Ops team 110% behind him. Those are just the best people to have at your back and they adopted Jethro into their self-made family, whether he liked it or not. Jethro himself has some mad skills and between him and the MI6 twins, Wolf, and the other Deep Ops members, the action is fast-moving and nail-biting. And of course, Roscoe, who steals all the scenes.

It is a great story from start to finish and I can definitely recommend it if you like romantic suspense. This is book 5 in the Deep Ops series. Each one can be read on its own, although I think you’ll get more value from the series if you read them in order.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've read and loved several of Rebecca Zanetti's but this is my first from the Deep Ops series. Unforgiven is intriguing, fast-paced, suspenseful and romantic. My only complaint would be that I listened to the audiobook - the narrator pronounced Gemma's name incorrectly and I found that a little distracting. Excellent story and I will be reading the other books in the series.

Unforgiven is the fifth book in the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti. It brings to light new faces from times past and present along with a deeper insight into the history of the Deep Ops consultant Jethro Hanson and his new colleague Gemma Falls.

This book introduces Gemma Falls, a statistics and game theory professor who is running from an evil that won’t go away and trying to provide a loving upbringing to her child.

Jethro Hanson may be a college professor now but his past is shrouded in mystery. He is a strong leader dealing with his demons. His old nemesis from across the pond resurfaces and a trail of blood and death ensues as the stakes become life and death for Hanson and his friends.

Together, Jethro and Gemma must work to save their world from the evil stalking them. This book is truly spellbinding. Rebecca Zanetti creates characters with such depth that you just can't help rooting for them

If you enjoy heart pounding suspense with a side of romance, give Unforgiven by Rebecca Zanetti a whirl. This book checked all my boxes: great characters with substance; nonstop action; romance; the story moved at a nice pace; and the author tied up all loose ends with the HEA finale. I loved it!

Unforgiven (Deep Ops #5). By Rebecca Zanetti. 2022. Lyrical Press (ARC eBook).

Zanetti is a must read author for me. From the beginning of the Deep Ops series, I’ve enjoyed the page-turning action, suspense, romance and humor. As entertaining as expected, Unforgiven has the Deep Ops team and two former MI6 agents do all they can to assist their acquaintance and another former MI6 agent, Jethro Hansen; as he finds himself the target of a killer holding a serious grudge against him. And the timing is terrible for the ladies man who seeks to keep everyone at a distance as he meets and begins to fall for a fellow professor, Gemma Falls, and her young daughter, Trudy. And per usual, Roscoe and Wolfe bring in the silliness to lighten the mood. Kat makes a cameo too.

I was so happy when I found out that there would be more DeepOps books! This book definitely did NOT disappoint!! I love reading about Jethro & Gemma falling in love, however, I truly enjoyed the family theme that was present in the entire book. I think that this book was very well written & I had a tough time putting it down. Rebecca Zanetti has a way of weaving her words to draw her audience in to her book and make you want to just live there to see what is going to happen next in this world. I loved this book and would highly recommend reading this entire series!! I read the book on my Kindle, bought a paperback copy, and then listened to it on Audible so I can tell you that whichever method of reading you use you will still enjoy the book!

I love all of the Deep Ops book and this one is hands-down my favorite one yet. Featuring former MI6 agent Jethro Hanson, this action-packed book was filled with suspense and danger from page one. Gemma and her small daughter Trudy are running from her psycho husband Monty when they encounter Jethro at the small college where they both teach. Gemma needs and friend and Jethro and the Deep Ops team steps into the gap to help her out when Monty and a sociopath, Jethro’s brother Fletcher, have both targeted her. I really thoroughly enjoyed the team being together again and finding out more about each of them and their current places in the world. All of them are still quirky, fun and dedicated to justice, no matter the cost. The characterization is so well-done that I found myself laughing aloud at some of their antics and gasping at the danger that they were willing to face for each other. The plot was breakneck speed, racing from chapter to chapter, with each chapter revealing more about the characters and the danger they faced. I especially enjoyed getting to know Jethro’s pals from MI6, Ian and Oliver, who were equally determined to catch the bad guys even at the expense of their futures. This is a book that is impossible to put down and totally engaging. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading all of the books in the series just for the sheer pleasure of it.

Unforgiven by Rebecca Zanetti is a romantic thriller that keeps you guessing right up until the end. Lock your doors and check your windows for anything that goes bump in the night! This is the fifth book in the Deep Ops Series but it can be read as a stand alone. Warning the book is populated by oversized men who are strong and …

Gemma and her daughter Trudy have been running for all of Trudy’s life. Gemma’s ex was a beater and she escaped before he managed to kill her. She has been on the run for a few years now, and each time she thinks she is safe - she isn’t.

Jethro Hanson is a professor, even though he looks like he could be quite dangerous. It's a good thing, since his brother, Fletcher, is determined to put him in jail. Luckily Jethro has a strong team helping him and now he needs to protect Gemma as well. He can’t let her go now he has found her.

Between Jethro and his team including Roscoe, Gemma is safer than ever, almost. Hold onto your seats… Fletcher is loose.

Unforgiven by Rebecca Zanetti is a hold onto your seat and keep your seatbelt on type of book!

Unforgiven is the latest in the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti. If you love romantic suspense books then this book is definitely for you. It has it all highly skilled operatives, single mother on the run with her small child, a psychotic hitman/murderer/former operative, university professors, friends, and last but not least a love story all blended into one awesome story. It started off just a little bit slower than I was expecting, but it certainly made up for it later on in the story and especially with an amazing ending. It was so good that I finished it in less than a day. I didn’t want it to end, but I guess I will just have to settle for waiting for the next one to come out.
Rebecca Zanetti has done it again with Unforgiven. The Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti is easily one of the best romantic suspense series that I have ever read!

Love binging a romantic suspense in one sitting! Gemma has just taken on a new job as a professor that a friend helped set her up with. No one knows but she’s actually on the run and in hiding from her ex - he has almost tracked her down a few times and she’s determined to keep herself and her daughter safe. She’s definitely not looking for love or complications.

Jethro is the British philosophy professor who she meets right away and who may make things more complicated. Jethro is trying to give up work on the deep ops team but gets called in when a body is found that has a note written specifically to him.

I really enjoyed the multiple layered stories happening in this one and it’s always fun to see couples from previous stories as you get later into a series.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the advance reading copy.

A compelling addition to Deep Ops, Unforgiven is the fifth book in the series. Murder, betrayal, connections and love. The characters are captivating, the story well-conceived and delivered. A fabulous story and a keeper in my library

If you are an adrenaline junkie and love that thrill when reading a suspense novel, this is a must read!

This book is a standalone in a larger series of interconnected and recurring characters. While that usually makes me feel like I'm missing out on the inside jokes and the camaraderie between these characters, I didn't have that with 𝘜𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯.

Rebecca truly has a gift for writing this genre. Romantic suspense is a balancing act, too much suspense or not enough romance and the book can miss the mark. She pulls it off effortlessly!

Gemma is on the run with her daughter from her ex and he won't stop until she's found. Her strength and determination to protect Trudy by any means is admirable and what made me love her character. I can't imagine having to go through what she had to in order to survive and let Trudy thrive!

Jethro is a hot AF professor (I totally had Indiana Jones on my mind!). But, he's not just a professor, he's ex British military.

There's so much I loved about this book: The suspense, the cat and mouse game with 2 foes, the attraction between Jethro and Gemma, the adorableness that is Trudy, the friendships between the Deep Ops crew and Jethro's UK buds!!
