As someone who has tried and failed to create or be apart of MANY book clubs, I absolutely love this kit! This book is one of my top books on my TBR along with a few friends, after showing this to them we have decided to read and discuss together and use this kit to guide us! And all the extra goodies are so cool! The printable bookmarks are absolutely gorgeous and I love that their was a trigger warning first page.

Unfortunately, I am not a member of a book club, but I take part in different reading circles and I really enjoy it.
When I saw "Firekeeper's Doughter" I was very interested in the book because of the topics it covered. I live in a German-speaking area and the book has just been published. The cover makes it impossible not to notice the book. It is so so beautiful. A few readers' groups are also organized for the book (e.g. wasliestdu.de). There is a discussion for each section.
So I was very curious about this Book Club Kit.
And I was delighted. I was happy to read more about the author, how she did her research for the book, how she decided which parts should and should not be published.
The interview and the letter from the author give a lot of information about how the book came about and about the backgrounds. This helps when reading the book to understand everything more easily.
I've already printed out the bookmarks, they're so pretty...
Now I can only say that I look forward to reading and discussing with other readers in the reading group.

The Firekeeper's Daughter was my favorite YA read of 2021; this book club kit provides some supplemental insight into the novel. The kit includes an author letter and interview, gorgeous bookmarks, a discussion guide, and a suggested Indigenous authors reading list. I also very much appreciated the additional resources and ways to support indigenous communities. This was such a good example of a perfect book club kit, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

This kit is great! Thank you for putting it together. This will be a great resource for book club leaders and discussion groups as well as reviews and engagement on Bookstagram.

This is the ultimate resource for discussing Firekeepers Daughter. There are discussion questions, future reading suggestions, even a Q&A with the author! I used this guide during our book discussion on this book. It was a valuable resource.

I loved the layout of this one, simple but really beautiful. It's fairly straight forward with an author's letter, an interview and discussion guide.

This one had the addition of some pretty bookmarks, resources to support indigenous communities and a guide on what to read next. I didn't feel like that was had as much content as some of the other book club kits but I did appreciate the content warnings in the beginning.

Altogether this was another straightforward and easy to use book club kit.

This is a pretty straightforward book club kit--I really appreciate that it begins with a list of content warnings for readers. The questions were decent, but I feel like some of them weren't very thoughtful--more like "analyze this character's intention after this event" and "analyze what this character meant when they said this thing." I find that questions like these are just too specific to one part of the book, and because people are so different as readers, it may be less interesting to discuss rather than broad, general questions about the book as a whole. In general, I feel like a lot of these questions felt more like they belonged on an English exam than at a book club discussion..
The kit also included an author interview, printable bookmarks, and my favorite part, a list of books by other Indigenous authors to read next.

This is a great Book Club Kit, and it comes equipped with a lot of great discussion questions and beautiful bookmarks.

Some great resources are the included content warnings, hotlines, and information about supporting Indigenous communities.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an eARC of this title in exchange for my honest review.

I think that this book club kit is a great way to encourage and engage in meaningful conversations surrounding the topics of this novel. The discussion questions seem well thought out. I especially liked the additional information like trigger warnings, book recommendations for other indigenous authors, the author letter and interview, and the list of helpful resources and organizations to support indigenous communities.

I would definitely recommend this for further reading after the novel and for book clubs/buddy reads.

This is a really good book group guide to have along side reading “Firekeepers Daughter”. There is a trigger warning so you can make an informed choice before you start the book. This is followed by an in-depth interview with the author which provides important context to the novel.
You get printable themed bookmarks to accessorise your read. There’s a list of healthful discussion questions, suggested further reading and useful organisations. It’s not as fully immersive as other book group kits I have come across. For example, other has featured recipes for themed food you an indulge in as you discuss this book and I would have loved this book group guide to include a indigenous recipe to try whilst you discuss the book.

Excellent book club kit - perfect for a teacher to use with a school book club, or with a library using it for a teen reading group. It's an amazing book, so I'm glad something was created to help get it out there to reach a wider audience through clubs.

With a book club discussion planned for this book next month, I was thrilled to see this pop up on Netgalley. The quality of the questions and resources is very well done and is compiled in an eyecatching packet. Thanks for this resource!
