This book club kit is a great resource with discussion questions and the author interview! McQuiston shares extensive background on how the book came to be and how the story evolved and incorporated the history of the 1970s and the. LGBTQIA+ community. It’s a great guide for book clubs!

This is everything I want from a book kit and more. Whether you want to use the One Last Stop Kit for your book club or enjoy it yourself, this is the perfect companion to this swoony sapphic time travel romance. I immediately fell in love with the layout, which is color coordinated to match the books aesthetic in any and every way. This book club kit includes a beautiful bookmark and the recipe for the Jane Su special which THANK GOD because I always thought the dish sounded delicious when i was reading OLS when it came out. The questions are complex and well thought out and match the books theme perfectly. I would recommend this book kit to anyway who loved One Last Stop, or even to those who are first time readers and want to use the book kits tidbits and questions to go in depth with their analysis of the book or simply for personal enjoyment. I wish a lot more books had kits like these because I eat anything bookish the fuck up and this is no exception.

I absolutely love One Last Stop, ever since I read it some years ago while still exploring questions of sexuality and gender identity for myself. I like diving a bit deeper into books I really enjoy. While I'm not part of a book club I always enjoy getting some outside impulses for reflecting. I found that Book Club Kits and Discussion Questions for Reading in a Classroom Settings can be really fun. There are always some hidden gems in them, like in this Book Club making up my drag name. I enjoyed this a lot and will have fun with the discussion questions.

The book club kits are awesome!
I especially enjoy the author's note at the beginning and that they also seem to include the content warnings at the beginning.
Things like the recipe and playlist are a nice touch as well!

This was an interesting Book Club Kit that actually made me want to either be a part of a book club, or form one of my own to discuss books like this. It is interesting that it involves a Q&A with the author, along with some discussions for the book club and extras like a recipe with connection to one of the characters of 'One Last Stop', and bookmarks to print off and use for yourself. It has certainly made me interested to read the book itself.

This was a wonderful supplement to the book! I brought this to discuss with book club friends and we had a great time!

The interview at the beginning was a fantastic way to set the scene and get the discussion surrounding the story going. The sample questions were also great to stimulate conversation, but I wish there were some “deeper” questions that lead to more inward reflection and how we see ourselves in August and Jane.

The additional reading section was awesome, too! It’s great to bookmark and look back to for when I’m looking for something similar to this vibe of book.

I really appreciated the little extras in this guide—author insights, a fun recipe, future book recs… such a cute touch! 📚✨ I loved getting a peek behind the curtain into the “why” behind the characters and themes, both on and off the page.

The discussion questions that were included were solid, but I did find myself wishing there were more—especially for those deeper book club convos that go beyond the surface. It’s a great resource for book clubs overall, just a bit on the shorter side.

Still, it adds something special to the reading experience, and I’d definitely recommend pairing it with the book for your next group pick!

What a great resource for book clubs!

One Last Stop is one of my all-time favourite romance books, and has been since I first read it in 2023. The prose is witty and fluid and beautiful, the characters are so vivid and so compelling, and the integration of queer history made everything feel so real. I know when I pick up a Casey McQuiston book, I'm getting something that actually feels like it was written by a queer person, for other queer people and their communities, and I am so grateful.

I loved the author interview - especially the part where they talk about developing August's character. The Further Reading recs are great! I second the recommendation to pick up The Stonewall Reader by the NYPL, and Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall, and I'm looking forward to picking up a copy of the Olivia Waite book. The printable bookmarks are cute and I'm actually so obsessed with the inclusion of the Su Special sandwich recipe from the story. Super creative and now something I absolutely need to try.

Overall, this is a great resource and I'm looking forward to picking up more book club kits in the future now that I know they exist!

The story follows August, a guarded 23-year-old who moves to NYC expecting nothing more than a mundane life. Instead, she finds herself falling for Jane, a magnetic punk rocker who turns out to be displaced in time from the 1970s and mysteriously stuck on the Q train.

It did lag in a few areas but it was a fun read.

Thank you Netgalley and Griffin for the arc.

A book club kid based on one of my all time favourite books - a queer and interracial romance. 🥰 Includes a Q&A with the author and backstory on why she decided to write this book, book club discussion questions, printable bookmarks, a recipe of Su’s special, book recommendations, a playlist. Super cute accompaniment to the book.

Thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish for the book club kit!
I loved that this book club kit included an author interview. One Last Stop is my favorite Casey McQuiston book, so I'm always excited to have more content related to it. The discussion questions were great. I love that these kits include printable bookmarks, recipes, and book recommendations.

Very well done and thought out. The layout is great and the information provided is very helpful. I appreciate that a lot of the information is taken directly from the author's website to ensure accuracy. The inclusion of the recipe and playlist adds something fun and different that I love- lending itself to a very interactive and engaging group.

However on the discussion questions, question 10 assumes the book club members have read red white and royal blue which might be alienating to some readers. Also, I personally don't like the book recommendations but they might appeal to others.
