My Review:
I do want to start off by saying that this book was very slow up until about the 80% mark. I hung in there and I’m glad I did. I really liked the ending and all the twists that it entailed. I was truly shocked. I knew throughout the whole book there was more to the story than what was being told and I was so right. Every person there had a secret that came to light in the end. I did have a hard time connecting to any of the characters at the beginning of the book but by the end I did finally connect to a few of them once everything was truly revealed. This was my first book by this author and it certainly won’t be my last.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 4 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes, yes, yes! I love thrillers that have big reveals and this book delivered. The plot involves a missing child and so many of the characters are sinister. It kept me guessing and I still didn't guess right. The setting really sold the book for me. The remote location was beautifully described but also felt creepy and added to the mystery of this book. It's a fun quick read. Thanks for the advance review copy.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookoutore for this advanced copy.

After being in a tragic car accident, Celeste cannot remember much of her past. She is told that she was pregnant, with her other daughter in the backseat. The baby was saved by cesarean and her daughter is unharmed. This is what she is told by her husband. Now on the mend with the help of her husband, sister in law and live-in nurse, she starts questioning if she is being told the entire truth of her past and her accident.

I was not expecting that. This book was brilliant in so many ways. I struggled with the beginning as it was confusing and written in the mindset of someone with memory issues but after finishing this, it was genius. I believed I had it figured out so many times and I could not have been further from the truth. I applaud this author for writing the perfect mystery, bravo Arianne Richmond.

I’m not sure what my honest opinion is of this book…
I enjoyed it and thought the concept was solid, but I couldn’t help finding it predictable at times, and the ending felt inconclusive somehow.
It would be ideal as a beach holiday read but if you’re looking for a gritty psychological thriller, this isn’t it.

Good book! This book had a lot of twists and turns! It also had suspense, intrigue, heartache and heartbreak! And a great twisted who done it! I enjoyed reading this book! I will recommend it! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Great read! My first by this author but glad I chose it. Not many keep me in the dark til the end but this one did! I always enjoy that & hope you’ll enjoy The Breakdown as much as I did. While a few clues trickle out, there’s so many deceptions going on that it’s hard to believe you’ll figure them ALL out by the end😁

Synopsis:
After a tragic accident, Celeste is dependent on help 24/7. Only partly does she remember her life before. She's glad to have her husband, his sister, and their new au-pair, isn't she? So why does everything feel so wrong? When her baby dies and her other daughter disapperas - who is to blame? Or did she even do it herself?

My thoughts:
This was such a slow burn. Like, slooooow. I found myself skimming some parts, and still didn't miss anything important. I really wanted to get to know the characters better, but only during the second half of the book did they show any depth - well, at least some of them did, and by then, I couldn't really find a connection to them anymore. I really liked the plot twists, though, they did keep me on my feet and I really enjoyed the ending of this book!

Parts of this book reminded me of:
- Verity by Colleen Hoover

This was my first book by this author.

PERFECT.
It's a perfect thriller for readers of The Day Of The Accident.
A wife tries to remember what really happened on the day of the accident and peace together the pieces of jigsaw puzzle and questions her marriage with her husband. How perfect their marriage is? Is her husband responsible for that crash or his sister?
Well, i really don't want to reveal anything. I can tell One thing that it has strong female characters. Here both male and female characters are equivalent and it makes you question everything and everyone. Real portrait of what women face in the world.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy.

I love this thriller. I completely identified with the main character and couldn’t wait to find out what happened. This is the book it absolutely feels like it’s happening while you’re reading it.
