Ravens that are important to the story? Gimme it.

I loved this book, despite it tearing at my heart strings, as good books do. Cutie has lost everything, except her uncle, who is just about lost himself. There has been a curse on her family for the last 10 years, almost her whole life, and every time there is a full moon on the summer solstice, another member of her family disappears.

The Ravens want to stop that, but Cutie doesn’t know why, and doesn’t know how, and that is what this book is about. About poor Cutie, following the birds, and learning about the past that happened when she was an infant, and someone did a horrible wrong, that she needs to right.

Great story telling. We even got to hear the voice of the birds.

Highly recommend this middle grade fiction.
