This book was very different to what I usually read but I had seen so many good reviews for it and it definitely lived up to the hype. This book brings out all the emotions and has you hooked on every word. The ending did not go how I thought it would but I feel like it was just such an interesting story that captured my attention. Highly recommend.

This book was an unexpected treat. I chose it on NetGalley because I needed something easy to read and fun, this was perfect. Bee is a tailor, she creates wonderful wedding dresses for people from her home. Nick is an author, not a particularly successful one. He takes a job ghostwriting for a man writing his memoir, a vanity project for an odious old fellow. Nick fires of an email in a fit of rage and it somehow ends up in the inbox of Bee. They exchange witty banter, they set up a meeting, but when both turn up to the same place at the same time, neither can find the other. Something weird has happened. They are trapped in separate timelines.

The story takes place in emails between Bee and Nick, the bond between them is strong and they gradually fall in love. They are fun, witty, the banter is next level. I loved it. This is quirk of the very best kind. A feel good, not without it's challenges, time crossed love story.

Thanks so much to NegGalley and the publisher for giving me access to this. I hope it is a massive bestseller.

I was told to go into this book blind and I’m so glad I did. For once, the sparse blurb of a book is warranted!

I first felt that something odd was happening in the narrative in the first few chapters, and the reveal when it came was both pleasing as I my suspicions were correct, and at the same time delightfully astonishing. I was asking myself where the author could take the story from there, and Lotz did not disappoint.

This book is a romance at heart, but there’s such depth to the story that it’s also an accomplished work of contemporary fiction. I fell in love with not only our main characters Nick and Bee, but their friends and family too.

The only thing I could have asked for was more from the ending. My greedy little heart was begging for more but I also admired the restraint shown in the conclusion to what was an epic love story.

Wow… I think I have shell shock, in a good way. But this is going to be a VERY tricky title to review. Sarah Lotz’ Impossible twist (one of them, anyway) is revealed very early on in the story. And, I refuse to spoil a second of this reading experience… other than to say the plot hinges on what I consider a highly accessible science fiction concept.

Firstly, if you are not ‘into sci-fi’ you must not let that element put you off. Why? Impossible is an epistolary novel overwhelmingly about HEART. It is about love in all its mysterious and wonderful forms – the romantic (big tick), but also the love between friends, parents and children, cranky neighbours and animals… even love for a cause and ultimately, for ourselves.

Emma Gannon (Olive) said, “I feel the same way for this book as I did when I first read One Day.” Yes, yes, yessss!

The blistering rapid-fire dialogue, simmering tension and authentically raw and messy pulsating hearts of Lotz’s lead characters Nick and Bee had me glued to its pages. Continue reading review at:

When a misdirected email introduces Nick and Bee, the two form an instant connection. But it seems the two can't be together and their love is impossible. ⁣

I can't say anymore without giving too much away but wow, this premise was fantastic. I loved seeing Nick and Bee work together, through their happiness and struggles. There were plenty of surprises in this book and at times, I had no idea where the story was going but ultimately, I loved the ending.

I don't think I have the right words to describe how amazing this book is, but I'll try.  Right from the start with Nick's sweary email, I knew this was going to make me laugh, but I didn't know the ending would make me cry after having become so emotionally invested in Nick & Bee and their relationship.  This was beautifully written, and it felt like I was right there, watching Nick & Bee fall in love.  The banter in their emails made me laugh, and while it did feel a little insta-love, it just felt right.  I didn't want to put this book down, and I know that this is going to be one of my favourite books this year.  It's best if you go into this book with as little information as possible - it is an impossibly unique story that you need to experience.

Thanks to HarperCollins, Netgalley and the author for an ARC of this book. I have not been compensated for this review and am leaving it voluntarily.

This is a very unique story that surprised me and drew me in from the very beginning. The premise is that Nick and Bee accidentally get caught in an email conversation with each other and, over time, become friends and then something more. Throughout their email conversations there are red flags along the way that indicate their worlds are really very different. And not metaphorically.

So now they are faced with an impossible love - destined never to be able to meet but knowing that they are soulmates. It's an emotionally complex story and its written very well.

Bee and Nick are likeable and real, and their connection to each other is palpable. It's the kind of book that makes you think about possibilities, paths not taken and what enduring love really is.
