I didn't read book one, so I feel like I missed out on a huge part of the App that was created. I loved the premise of this book, but I felt like it took entirely too long for me to get into it. I didn't really care for Tiwanda. I did LOVE the diversity of the characters, but overall: this won't be a memorable book for me.

I really like this author and this series. Although I was a bit more pulled in and earlier by the HWM, this one definitely had it's place. It's sweet and not too heavy and super entertaining. I'll definitely be looking for more from this author

I received this Arc from Netgalley. Thank you for the chance to read this book early. My review is honest and 100% my own thoughts about the book.

I loved the authors point of view and hard work it takes to own your own business and being an entrepreneur. She also shows the struggle a budding romance and the trust that needs to be achieved to fall in love.

With the many struggles the MC has to go through shows how realistic the story can be. Trust ad friendships are everything.

"The Moment We Met" ventures into Tiwanda Harris's complex world as she navigates her thirties, entrepreneurship, and unexpected romantic prospects. Gifted her late mother's journal, Tiwanda's journey unfolds with promising layers. The concept of the Met dating app adds a unique twist, injecting anticipation into the narrative. However, the story's breadth, exploring career, family, and love simultaneously, dilutes the depth of each subplot. Tiwanda's character, while relatable, occasionally falls into predictable patterns. The pacing, at times, struggles under the weight of numerous storylines. Despite these challenges, the novel captures the essence of balancing life's multifaceted demands.

This one was not for me. I think I might not click with books about apps.

This felt a bit like a chore to read. The characters weren’t very interesting, the dialogue was flat and the story dragged along.

I had to force myself to finish after attempting multiple times. I just didn’t care about the characters at all.

This was a quick fun read, it has only 256 pages, so if you need a cute short romance, this is for you
The unfortunate thing is that I didn’t read the first book in the series, so I kinda didn’t get the background info and the characters felt a bit flat
The whole book reminded me a lot of a romcom movie, also there wasn’t a predestined mmc, with whom she gets together, but you see how she dips her toes into different relationships and ideas.
This book has mainly black characters and deaf representation
I didn’t really got pulled into the story and got bored at times, even though it’s short but I think it was only because I didn’t feel really connected to the characters.

As someone who is nearing their thirties and single, I felt like I could really relate to Tiwanda. I saw myself in her as someone who is sometimes doubtful about love. Her story was easy and fun to follow!

I absolutely loved this book! The premise immediately hooked my interest and it was filled with twisty characters and such intense plot!

I thought this was a really beautiful story full of sweet and tender moments. I love the romance and the family moments throughout the book.

The main characters took time to get to know and understand one another, a fabulous slow-burn.

It kept me guessing throughout, which I loved. It was a super easy read and I can’t wait to read more by Camille.

I lked this enough to want to read the first book, but also couldn't get right through it. The app which is the center of it all was a little creepy:)

I did not realize this was a sequel when I requested and read it. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the other first. I didn’t dislike it, it was a very quick, light read for me, I enjoyed the characters and the writing.

I did not enjoy this one. And I don't fault the book at all. I hadn't read the first one and I think I may have possibly enjoyed it more had I read that one. However, I still don't think I'll be picking the first one up again.

As someone who read the first book in the series, I was super excited to be accepted to read the second book. This follows another character from the first book, but you can be read as a standalone as it already explained in the start of the book what the app is, but it can improve your experience of this, but if you read the first book in the series, I absolutely adore this character and the progression she has with each of her potential partners and what we learned through her, finding what she can and cannot have as her boundaries in relationships, which I think is really important, especially in romance books. Again, I absolutely love the art style. The relationships in this book was stunning and I would highly highly recommend and I can’t wait until hopefully there’s another book in the series.

Thank you, Netgalley, for the ARC.

Tiwanda Harris’s thirtieth birthday is a turning point. Gifted her late mother’s journal, Tiwanda is finally getting a glimpse of who her mother was as an adult. Shortly after, the budding entrepreneur receives a grant to jump-start a delicious business opportunity—and her sweet dreams don’t end there. Tiwanda’s been sent a dating app called Met that promises four matches, and among them, her soul mate. All Tiwanda has to do is tap “Yes”…

I didn't read the first book but this didn't stop me to understand or enjoy this book

I enjoyed Twanda's view on relationships and her desire to not be in one. Some people aren't into all things relationships. And I can appreciate her reluctance.
I thought the mother's diary was a nice touch and I was interested in that and Tawanda's back story. I enjoyed the business owner vibe and that whole grant concept.

I liked The Moment We Met- I liked Tiwanda’s character and willingness to bet on herself and her business. The book takes readers on the journey of Tiwanda becoming a full-time entrepreneur and trying to date, using an app called Met. She learns a lot about herself, her parents (whom are deceased), and giving herself grace. It was a good read, easy to follow, and lighthearted.

The Moment We Met by Camille Baker reunites readers with characters from Have We Met? In this sequel, readers journey with Tiwanda Harris as she journeys to discover more about her parents and love.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me. All thoughts are my own.
