Another fantastic, twisty psychological thriller by Sandie Jones. She turns readers' expectations upside-down with every twist!

Another twisted and mind numbing story from Sandie Jones.
As the title suggests there's a lot of blame being tossed around and it's not until the very last sentence that it all comes together. Those one had me bouncing around mentally trying to figure out who did what to who and when. A very quick and entertaining read. I look forward to what Ms. Jones comes up with next.

Thank you to St Martin's Press and NetGalley for the for the ARC for me to read, review and enjoy. Sorry it took so long...

Man, this book was awesome! Classic Sandie Jones. She just gets better and better with every book. I already can't wait to read her next one and I've barely finished this one! 4 stars

With multiple marriages on the rocks and relationships that lack trust, this domestic thriller really covers all of the twisty relationships! Naomi is a counselor who specializes in domestic violence, and she may have crossed the line with her most recent client, Jacob. But what does this mean for her own marriage? And for Jacob's wife?

Another quick read by Sandie Jones, I enjoyed the complicated relationships between everyone. I also found myself constantly wondering who was telling the truth and trying to figure out who was trustworthy and who was truly in danger. Overall, I would recommend this quick and twisty thriller!

Even though there are 2 Sandie Jones novels I have not read yet, I've been trying to read them all because they are just so darn entertaining. The Blame Game is what a lot of readers would call a popcorn thriller and they would not be wrong. Like all of Jones's novels I have read so far, it is an easy one-sitting read and so bingeable that I didn't want to put it down. Now, this book does talk about abuse so maybe "entertaining" isn't completely the right word to use for this one, but it gets so wild, and Naomi's lack of boundaries completely fascinated me. She clearly doesn't make for a great psychologist in that respect, but her unorthodox technique definitely brought out everyone's secrets.

I loved how twisty The Blame Game was and the epilogue was just priceless. There was plenty going on so I wouldn’t call this a slow burn, but if you REALLY want to get into it, I would recommend the audiobook. Karissa Vacker is one of my favorite narrators and she made for a great Naomi. I loved her narration for the audio and considering it's not even 7.5 hours long, makes it a really quick listen. This is definitely domestic suspense first and foremost, and I think Jones really brought the suspense through especially well. Don’t pick this up if you want something realistic, but if you want a story to escape into and get lost in The Blame Game is a perfect choice!

THE BLAME GAME by Sandie Jones was good but not my favorite of hers. The main plot was ok. I didn’t like was how stupid the MC was. I mean really. If any professional counselor/therapist/psychologist did the things she did, they’d be banned from practicing. Not only that but moving patients into your personal life/home when you are their psychologist is not going to be a great idea. 🙄

Her writing style is always intriguing enough for me to stay interested and see where it was going. I’ll always look forward to a Sandie Jones thriller.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 The Blame Game - Sandie Jones

Naomi is a therapist who seems to have a habit of becoming too involved in her patients lives. When she helps her patient Jacob leave his abusive relationship, things get wildly out of hand quickly!

This book had a lot of potential and I really loved the build up and setting of the story.

*potential spoiler* but we dive deep into Naomi’s past, and I thought that this would come to be something but it really didn’t amount to much so that fell flat for me!

I received a free copy from NetGalley. Professional boundaries are completely lacking when mental health needs to be treated so seriously and not made worse by examples like this.

Date made up. I feel behind on reviews.

I really liked this book, especially the fast pace. I found myself wanting to read just one more chapter. I figured out the plot twist at the very end, but it kept me guessing the whole way through. A quick fun read! I would recommend this book for sure! I received a free copy of this book from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I'm a big fan of Sandie Jones and was really interested by one of the central premises of The Blame Game - a therapist getting waaaaaaaaaaay too personally involved with her patients. I won't touch on the ethics here or the believability. To enjoy this book, you need to embrace the mess and get on board for the ride.

It's a short and quick read that packs in a lot; this did make some things feel a bit disjointed and left me with some lingering questions. Also Leon is the worst.

Pick this up if you're looking an entertaining read with unlikable characters!

Look forward to the author's next book!

Thank you to Minotaur and NetGalley for the eARC to read and review.

Another amazing domestic suspense novel by Sandie Jones. Filled with twists and turns, I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading. I got lucky with a couple of my guesses, but still really enjoyed this story. It was a gripping read that held my interest from start to finish. I can’t wait for her next book.

As much as I have enjoyed previous books by this author, I unfortunately found The Blame Game completely lacking, and just a huge mess. The main character was all over the place with her motivations, and made stupid decisions, constantly lying to her husband for no reason and getting too involved in things she shouldn't be. There was no motivation for me as the reader to root for her. Hoping for better books ahead from Sandie Jones.

As far as thrillers go, this was good. Psychologist Naomi specializes in domestic abuse situations and goes above and beyond for her clients, sometimes to her own detriment. This causes problems in her marriage. Two of her clients are in dire situations and she finds herself caught up in them while her past catches up with her as well.

I feel like I didn’t get the entire picture and was left feeling more confused than anything. I feel like I didn’t know the characters very well, and if that’s the case it’s hard for me to love a book.

I have loved previous book by this author and this one was right up there in the running! A beachy vibe with a pysco twist! Keep your feet in the sand and your eyes open! I ignored my adult duties to binge read this!

Sandie Jones is auto read author for me. She does such a good job with domestic suspense. The Blame Game is no different. Naomi is a psychologist that has a habit of getting too close or involved in her clients lives. In this case, she offers for one to live in an old apartment she owns with her husband that isn’t being used. But then that client disappears…

This book was bingable. Between reading and listening, I couldn’t stop. It’s not often I can say that I didn’t see the end coming, but here we are! If you need a book to keep you on the edge of your seat, give this one a try!

Book : The Blame Game

Although this book was a fast read with interesting twists, it ultimately just wasn’t for me.

Psychologist Naomi Chandler does her best to not become too invested in her clients lives. But since she specializes in domestic abuse, this becomes more and more difficult. After helping a client leave his wife, he disappears - leaving Naomi wondering if she's crossed a line. As more secrets from their pasts emerge, Naomi begins to wonder if she's not the only one in danger...

Another wild domestic thriller from Sandie Jones - and for me it was very middle of the road. I didn't really like it, but I also didn't hate it. Naomi's backstory was super fascinating to me, and I wish we had gotten some more details about that, because it gave so much insight into why she is the way she is as an adult. I think the same goes for her husband, I feel like he would've been a bit more of a sympathetic character if we had known a bit more about him. I enjoyed the premise of Naomi being a therapist for victims of domestic abuse, because I felt there was a lot that could be done with that storyline, and that part delivered, to an extent. And the author did a decent job of planting slight clues for the ending throughout, even if it wasn't perfect. I think overall, the book lacked a bit because it was so short. With more detail and a bit more backstory, I think this book could've been stronger.

*minor spoilers below*

I did like the ending, because it did a good job of wrapping things up, while also leaving the reader guessing to an extent. There were some questions left unanswered in a way that I felt was successful in strengthening the book.

Didn't like this whatsoever. Just don't think Sandie Jones is the author for me. I find her thrillers irritating instead of thrilling.
