This is a perfect book to read to young girls! There is a diverse range of women featured (some I have never even heard of which was great) all from different backgrounds, cultures and countries.

The pictures are vivid and colorful to capture young readers attention and the descriptions of each woman is just long enough to keep it interesting.

I loved the message of being a “rebel girl” and not taking no for an answer. This story teaches girls they can do anything they set their minds to. What an enjoyable read!

This book offers a great collection of badass women from history. I even learned about a few that I was not previously familiar with.

The graphics were colorful and engaging. My son enjoyed the bright colors and simple text.

I enjoyed the passage, “And remember, whether you sail or sing, plant seeds or pass laws, always be uniquely you.”

I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to introduce their toddlers to strong, smart, powerful women from the past and present. Women can be anything!

Really loved the idea of this and wasn’t disappointed when I downloaded it to my IPad. The pages are colourful and attractive. The concept is brilliant and I will definitely be buying a hard copy of this for my daughter once it is released. I think it’s a great way of introducing some history and history of string female role models at that. It’s a way to introduce the subject that can then be built on when they are a little bit older with their own research or reading some of the other books in the Rebel Girls series. I will also be buying copies of this for my friends with children too

A great primer of famous women who changed history. I wish some of the text had better rhythm but other than that, loved the book. A great first introduction to rebel girls and a colorful book for littles.

A Rebel Girls book for the littlest and youngest of readers! Like all of the other books in the Rebel Girls series, this is a compilation of the extraordinary women that have made their mark throughout history. Each woman’s story is shortened to a more age appropriate length. It is full of wonderful illustrations that reflect how diverse we are.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I absolutely loved the illustrations and brief introductions to incredible women in this book. Older children can use it as a jumping point for who to learn more about and research. It’s a good gift choice for baby girls to help them dream big from the start.

This is adorable book for babies and little ones about extraordinary, world-changing women. The book includes women from all over the world and all different levels of accomplishments, from ruling cities to scientific discoveries to winning Olympic medals. I love this because it shows that there are many ways to make important contributions to the world. The only downside of the book is that the two-sentence snapshot of these women’s lives means that caregivers may need to do some googling (or read the original book) in order to answer any follow-up questions from curious kids. I will definietly be buying this book for my baby niece!

What a wonderful collection of so many inspiring women! The colourful illustrations of the women and their themes are ideal to keep young readers interested (and adults may also learn something new). ---

Women from different eras and topics are presented in 1-3 sentences. On point. It is very easy to understand for young children. Women, such as Cleopatra, Jane Austen, Amelia Earhart or Malala Yousafzai. But there are also women whose themes are environmental, musical, or scientific. ---

Small good thoughts to start the night with. Powerful! ---

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy.

I was so excited to read the latest Rebel Girls installment and even more excited that it’s a board book! This book highlights a lot of interesting and important women. The colorful pages and illustrations are great to keep young readers engaged. I’ll definitely be getting a copy for my toddler and big sissy will read it to him.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for access to this ARC.

This is an exciting new addition to the Rebel Girls range! I love that the reduced content makes it more accessible to a younger audience and yet it is packed with so many great examples of inspiring and influential women.

The bright colours and dynamic visuals are hugely engaging with enough details to entice discussion. With gymnasts to scientists, artists, writers and explorers, there is plenty to show a young child but also lots to unpack for an inquisitive mind.

This bite sized version proves that board books aren’t just for babies -and history books aren’t just for older children!

I absolutely LOVE the Rebel Girls series, and am so excited when I see a new one is about to be published. It's so important for little girls to learn about the extraordinary women that are featured throughout the books. I love that they include women of different backgrounds, races, and ethnicities. It's so vital that our children see a variety of women to look up to.

What a fabulous addition to this series. The ability to share the rebellious woman's spirit with our youngest females is a blessing. Loved this book and cannot wait to give copies of the book as gifts to all my younger female family members! Everyone needs to get a copy of this book for nightly read alouds to their children, regardless of the child's gender or age.

This is a great beginner compilation of very brief biographies of several women that broke barriers, fought for rights, accomplished their dreams and changed the world. I loved the bold, bright colors of the illustrations. I also enjoyed the eclectic collection of women from around the world and throughout history - scientists, artists, activists, athletes and much more can be found in this collection.

Thank you to the publisher, author, illustrator, and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback. This book is exactly what it sounds like -- a short collection of famous, extraordinary women throughout history. The info on each page is brief, appropriate for a young reader at bedtime stories time. The pictures are the real excitement. There are full color photographs for each profile. My favorite was Jane Austen, but I'm just biased! Either way, there was a variety of countries of origin and historical time periods represented. In fact, I learned about a few people I had never known about before. Cute drawings, age appropriate info/word choices for a young reader. All in all, a good book for its aims.

We have been a fan of the Rebel Girls books for years! The stories are inspiring for my five daughters. With a toddler at home, some of the original stories can be a bit long and in depth for her current interest level and understanding. The stories in Baby’s First Book of Extraordinary Women were perfect for her! You’ve created another masterpiece, Rebel Girls!

This board book is a must for all baby shelves!

What a great overview of so many women who did wonderful things. I loved the diversity included in this book, not only do we have the expected Marie Curie and Amelia Earheart, we also have Joan Jett and Jane Austen!

So many women are given a spotlight that it’s a must read for boys and girls alike.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it! I read this to my kids and they loved it. The story was easy for them to understand, and the pictures added a lot more. They were able to ask questions I could answer. This opened a line of communication and we had many conversations about the women featured in this book and a few more. It was a very important learning opportunity for them and me. This was a great way to start these conversations. Amazing! Check it out!

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: Baby's First Book of Extraordinary Women by Rebel Girls is a baby book that contains biographies of women who have achieved amazing things in their respective spheres of influence. The book contains full-color illustrations and is written at the right level for typical baby books. First off, I want to say that I am a fan of this series of books. It's so important to tell young girls about all of the possibilities open to them and to encourage them to pursue their dreams.

Overall, this series has a very important message. Often, when books include biographies of "heroes" or "famous people," they're almost always all men. The Rebel Girls series of books is incredible, because they show young girls everywhere they can follow their dreams and be successful. I did take off 1 star, because I don't think this book functioned that well as a baby book. I think it would have been better if the book focused on one woman in particular instead of on several different women. It would have been nice to have more pages devoted for each woman's story. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in July

I was gifted a copy of this book from @netgalley and Rebel Girls in exchange for an honest review. This book is currently available. ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐
What a great book for boys and girls alike. Even though this books is meant for babies, I think primary students would also enjoy this. It not only covered historical women like Cleopatra and Amelia Earhart, but also current women such as Mae Jemison and Joan Jett. It was very inclusive as it talked about women from many cultures and races.
