Great stories and illustrations are lovely! If anything I wish it was longer/expanded. It did teach me about people I hadn't heard of or knew a lot about which was great, but doesn't provide a ton of context. Can be easily adapted in a educational setting, as well as a home setting! The newest edition to the Rebel Girls series is made for babies. The beautiful pages are filled with short stories for the youngest of children that exemplify some of the great feats of women. The pages are breathtakingly beautiful and the story is simple enough to captivate the young reader.

<I>Baby's First Book of Extraordinary Women</I> briefly shows extraordinary women in the Rebel Girl fashion: explaining what she did and with an illustration. This book does not go as in-depth as the Rebel Girls books usually do but that's due to its even younger audience.

I really enjoy the Rebel Girls book even as an adult so I was excited to see how the authors would write a book about these women for an even younger audience. I think they managed quite well and if the baby grows up wanting to learn more about these and other women, Rebel Girls will have them covered with more information and more beautiful illustrations.

WhT a wonderful idea - a baby’s first book! Now Rebel Girls from the git-go! The Rebel Girls publishers are as extraordinary as the women and girls they teach and celebrate. This will be extremely popular for baby showers and first birthday parties and rightly so. I have purchased several of their other titles just to keep for surprise visits etc and I will be adding a couple of this one too.

The artwork in this book is stylish, in line with the other books in this series. It gives a couple of sentences about each woman. I would recommend that parents read up about each woman before reading this with your child, because there are only very brief snapshots of each woman and in some cases it doesn't really explain what they did. However this is fine as a starter for small children and will work as an excellent springboard. Overall this book is inspirational and it's really nice to think of small children being taught about heroic women, and dreaming of what they might become.

What a delightful book! While this book may be written and illustrated for the youngest children, it’s a great one for all of us. It gives us a quick synopsis of many female heroes in history. I highly recommend.

I love this series. The other books I've read by Rebel Girls have been for older kids, in the elementary to middle grade range, so I'm happy to see one here that is for children! This is a great intro book to give kids who can then grow up and read the more detailed ones. As always, good illustrations and information. I can't wait to see what else and who else they highlight!

This would make a lovely baby shower gift or present for a little one in your life. It highlights extraordinary women from around the world and across time periods. There are even role models in the book that were new to me. With brief snippets about each extraordinary woman, the book provides a nice broad introduction of these women to children.

The book features bright and bold colors to capture a baby's attention. There are a variety of artistic styles utilized in the illustrations. Even if the children do not yet understand the words being read to them, the book illustrations provide an early introduction to diversity and normalizes seeing people of different colors for young minds.

A perfect introduction to strong girl stories! Would recommend purchasing for any new baby to enjoy with their families.

I love how many women were included in this book for littles. I'm 27 and I actually didn't know the names of many of these people! The only issue I had with the book was how some of the names were hard to read with the color choices (bright pink against a green background). Other than that, I hope this book will teach little girls that they can do anything they put their minds to!

Women from different eras and areas, some of them are famous some not so famous are presented in 1-3 sentences. It is very easy to understand for young children. Loved the bright illustrations.

Rebel Girl launches a new board book for little readers! I’m sure children just beginning to explore books will be attracted to the bright colors and fun illustrations in this book.

I love that young readers will be able to learn about such amazing women so early in life.

Rebel Girls does it again, another amazing book! I absolutely loved this, this will be a board book according to the publishers, which is perfect for little ones. Especially with the bright colors and drawings that included big shapes, great for little eyes that are taking in the world around them. The best part about board books is that even though babies may not know what's on the pages yet, older children who are reading will be able to learn about all these incredible women that have done and discovered amazing things.

This is a fantastic little book that will open your toddlers eyes to some fantastic and inspirational women. The illustrations are gorgeous and the stories are enough to give a quick overview of the person whilst encouraging you to research more if your child is interested.

This was a beautifully written book about great women from history. The illustrations were bright and intricate. This would be a fantastic read for young feminists.
