I read INSTALL SOLAR POWER, by Al DaCosta in one short stint. Much he of the information is useful. But the missing and vital piece of information was how to find and select a DIY contractor. I already own the starter off-grid kit from Legion Solar, but I'm not competent to do the install by myself, and Legion Solar won't help me out. This missing piece of information is crucial. We're it provided, I could give this five stars. But without it, the book only earns three stars.
