Loved it. A sweet, clean, charming romance. A couple dogs, a darling girl, grumpy old man, and many other characters add to this delightful story. Small town and ranch antics. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

I loved, loved, LOVED this story!! Kaylee and Luke were so much fun getting to know. I laughed, I cried and I sat on the edge of my seat at a few points. This story hit all my favorite things about reading a small town, sexy cowboy with an HEA in his future.

If you are looking for a sweet, clean romance, this is the one for you.
Kaylee Collins is an author that lives almost like a hermit in her Chicago apartment with her corgi Gladys, as her sidekick.
Her latest book, a western, is not coming along. Mostly because Kaylee has never truly experienced ranch life.
When her agent arranges a week at her brother’s ranch, Kaylee is definitely outside her comfort zone but decides that channeling herself as her strong book heroine, is the only way to survive the ranch.
What she never expected was meeting widower rancher Luke Montgomery. Luke is not looking for anyone. He’s been heartbroken before and doesn’t want to take a risk of that happening again.
But somehow feelings develop between them. But what happens when not only Kaylee is due to leave, but also confesses that she’s been playing the of her heroine?
This is a feel good story that reminds you of a Hallmark movie.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Hallmark Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is such a charming book! I just loved the characters of Luke and Kaylee. Kaylee brings Luke back to enjoying life after the death of his wife 5 years ago. Luke helps Kaylee to stop feeling so scared. The writing is wonderful! I laughed so hard so many times. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

We meet Kaylee, an author of romance novels set in ranch life. The only problem is that she Googles all her details from the comfort of her city apartment and has never set foot on a ranch. Her editor comes to the rescue by sending Kaylee to her brother's farm to get those details right. Kaylee must channel her heroine in her books to get out of her comfort zone and take on these challenges so that the publishers would want to add to her series. When she meets Luke, he is the epitome of the hero of her books. As they get to know each other better, her popularity with her fans and his reluctance of getting closer to anyone since his wife's death gets in their way. Will they have the courage to get past their fears or will it ultimately destroy whatever they started?

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Kaylee is sent to a Montana Ranch by her editor to enhance her ranch knowledge as her books just weren’t hitting the mark for ranch life. So off to Montana she goes to her editors brother Luke’s ranch. Instantly, she feels over her head and no matter how she tries to Chanel her book’s character Sassy she still doubts she is being her Authentic self.

Luke falls instantly for Kaylee and opens up more than he has in the past after his wife passed away. When some unexpected events happen where Kaylee winds up being hurt, Luke pulls back from Kaylee.

Gladys, Cooper, and the horses all have their own personalities as well which is endearing. This book made me smile, laugh and want to spend some time in Montana. Great read!

Struggling, but successful Kaylee Collins and lifelong rancher, Luke Montgomery, are just delightful. Jennie Marts has crafted another Hallmark-worthy rom-com that offers wit, humor, adventure, and plenty of good, clean fun. I hope this will be a book-to-movie, as the town of Bartlett sounds like a hoot. Hopefully, some secondary characters will be featured in future books.

I received a copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

Kaylee is a western romance writer who has never left the city. Her agent sends her to her brother’s ranch in Montana for a week to get some basic experience. Luke is not looking forward to his quest, but once she comes it is a surprise in a good way. Cute story and was fun to read. Didn’t see the need for the creepy guy at the dance, but otherwise highly recommend this one.

I requested this book from Hallmark Publishers because there usually have quality stories that are enjoyable and can be recommended to others.
Kaylee is advised by her editor to take some time off from being holed up in her apartment in Chicago and take some time to visit the majestic cowboy country of Montana. The editor has just the place for Kaylee to go and learn more about the cowboy/farm life that Kaylee writes about in her novels. Luke is the lucky one who his sister thinks can help Kaylee out with living the life she writes for her characters.

I really enjoyed this story and find this author as one that always enjoy reading.

What a sweet romance! Both our main characters are broken in their own way, torn by past events and issues, but they help make each other whole again. Set against a beautiful Montana backdrop, this will make a scenery-stunning Hallmark feature. My favorite character, though, was a secondary one...I was hoping, after the first appearance, that they would come back in the book, and the author didn't disappoint. I would really love to hear this person's story in a follow-up!

This was my first experience reading something by this author so I really didn't know what to expect. I found this to be a sweet, clean, and easy read and I will definitely be looking for more books by Ms. Marts. Kaylee is a romance writer and she's having trouble making her stories seem authentic. Her editor suggests that she go to her family ranch for some inspiration and more hands on experiences to use in her stories to make them seem more believable. She agrees and when she goes to the ranch and meets Luke, she is shocked. While she is not the confident heroine of her stories, Luke is exactly what she imagined her hero to be. As Kaylee starts to come out of her shell and try new things, Luke is enchanted by her. He is also still grieving the loss of his wife. But something about Kaylee definitely sparks something back to life in him. This was a lovely story with endearing characters, and reading this was equivalent to watching a sweet Hallmark movie. An easy and enjoyable read, I am happy to have had the opportunity to review this.
I received a complimentary copy from Hallmark Publishing via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Kaylee is a romance writer from Chicago who writes some popular western romances about Sassy and Duke. Her books keep getting dinged for lack of authenticity. To fix that, her editor send Kaylee to her family's ranch in Montana. Luke runs the ranch and is happy in his small town life - but he is still grieving the death of his wife

Kaylee has been all but hiding in her Chicago condo with her corgi for a while now. She doesn't feel brave or sassy or vivacious at all. So going to Montana is totally outside of her comfort zone. Luke is a sweetheart and really does everything he can to support Kaylee and help her learn about ranch and smalltown life.

For me this was a sweet, clean, camera ready Hallmark movie. It was very predictable - and didn't get too deep into things with the characters. Even the death of Luke's wife is dealt with in a very surface level. The ending conflict for me was just - ok. As much as Kaylee's feelings about herself and lack of bravery and sassiness could have had more emotional impact - the whole thing kind of fell flat.

Its a sweet, funny, easy read by one of my favorites - but it wasn't as wonderful as some of Jennie Marts other books.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.
