I love story featuring vets and love Hallmarks stories as they always make me smile.
This is an excellent, escapist, and sweet summer story that ticks all my checks. Compelling and entertaining.

This was my first read from Rachel Magee and as a fan of Hallmark movies, this book nailed it. It is a perfect, lighthearted & romantic, beach read. It was a slow start to really connect, but the building up of Emerald Cove and the Turtle Rescue won me over. Being a Hallmark book, the building up of the relationship is focused on an amazing friendship, instead of a physical relationship, which I really loved. We get a deeper connection between the two main characters and also get to experience their friendships with other characters.

Thank you to Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

Being a fill-in veterinarian is just what Molly Lawrence needed after suffering an humiliating break-up from her fiancée. She didn't know that helping at a local turtle rescue would be part of her duties, but the experience changes her life. 'The Beach Escape' is an uplifting story of two people who find love in the face of difficult challenges. I'm grateful to have read it and can say it is certainly up to Hallmark standards.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

A sweet romance that’s a light and easy read.

I read this book for Net Galley.

This book is a PG summer romance. It was a decent book but nothing I would find myself talking about non stop for a while. It was pretty much a Hallmark movie in book from. Which makes sense since it is from Hallmark publishing.

It did seem to drag a bit for me but there are a lot of turtles. So if you love sea turtles and hallmark this is the book for you!

The Beach Escape follows Molly Lawrence who takes an assignment in Florida to escape her life and her love life mishap. Who wouldn't love to escape to a job where the people are friendly, closer to the beach and turtles. She isn't looking for love but her life gets a shake up when she meets Grant Torres. I loved this book and every Hallmarkie will enjoy it. Excuse me while I move to Florida and is turtle obsession a thing.

If you like Nicholas Spark movies, small towns, and summer reads, read this!!!

SAVE THE TURTLES, quite literally. I never knew I needed a book set in a turtle rescue center. The entire setting and plot surrounding the rescue and rehabilitation center were too cute and wholesome! Obsessed with the veterinarian x patient (owner lol) dynamic. I love small-town romances, and this was so perfect in every single way. The couple had amazing chemistry, and their conversations touched your heart.

The only thing that pulls it down a star for me is that it is a slow burn. If you do love slow burns, you will be happy Ahah! I loved them so much that I just kept screaming for them to get together.

Not to forget that a turtle in this book is named Taylor Swift. I'm obsessed.

This book is exactly what the title says: an escape! I loved reading this book and escaping to the beach of Emerald Cove, Florida with Molly Lawrence. Although she is reeling from a devastating breakup, she throws herself into her work as a travel veterinarian. When she arrives in Florida, she finds herself with a client she didn't expect: a sea turtle. She also finds herself falling for a local. This book will help you to escape, or will be company for you while you escape!

Molly Lawrence had her life planned. She was going to marry her fiancé, a fellow veterinarian, and they were going to have a dream life together. They'd go to work every day in matching scrubs and after a day spent tending to precious pets they would return to their dream home complete with white picket fence, their own pets, and eventually children. But Molly's fiancé had different plans. Or rather, he had the same plans but with a different person.

After a few awkward months trying to continue life in her small town in Kansas, Molly realized she no longer belonged and she decided to leave the home she'd always known and become a traveling vet. Traveling would allow her to help animals without committing herself to a town or to people who may not be willing to commit to her. No ties, no heartache, just new adventures. Sounded like a good plan... until she landed in Emerald Cove. Molly Lawrence might not have wanted to become attached to the people in Emerald Cove, but they weren't willing to give her much choice.

This book was so so sweet. The people Molly meets in Emerald Cove are all very open and caring and dedicated to kindness and friendship. Molly throws herself into helping the animals, both domestic and wild. With the help of Grant, Claire, Matteo, Ellyn and Hadley, Molly soon finds that the animals aren't the only ones being healed.

As a Hallmark book there isn't any sex, only a little alcohol consumption, and nothing else that might make even the meekest granny blush. If you're looking for a sweet, light, romantic, beachy summer read, this is the perfect book.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.

First of all thank you netgalley for the arc.
This was my first small town romance read which i absolutely enjoyed throughly. As summers are going on in india currently it was a perfect read for me. Molly and Grant's friendship and connection was absolutely swoon worthy. I thoroughly loved each and every character. The story was endearing and Little. The author did a great job in giving life to the characters. But the only thing i felt that was missing was the pace. The story is a little bit fast paced.

Thank you NetGalley for sending me this book in exchange for a review. This is a very sweet romance but a little too G-rated for me. It’s my fault because I didn’t pay too closely to it being a Hallmark book.
I enjoyed the story but didn’t love the chemistry between the two leads. The feelings built up too fast. After just a week, Grant said he couldn’t imagine his life without Molly in it. I wasn’t buying that. Also even before seeing her work as a Vet, just on the drive over to the rehab facility, he was so impressed by her. Those kind of small details didn’t make sense to me and made me feel disconnected from the characters. I wasn’t pulled into this book.
But it’s a cute story, I love turtles, and it’s a feel-good story so I’m sure many will love this clean romance.

This is my first experience reading something by Ms. Magee, and I was very pleasantly surprised. If you are a fan of Hallmark movies (which I am!), this is right up your alley. It's a sweet story filled with heartwarming moments, friendship, and love. Molly has been badly burned in love, and decides to use her short-term veterinary assignment in Emerald Cove as a means to escape. She is by no means looking for love, but what if love comes looking for her? When she meets Grant, they immediately connect and develop a beautiful friendship. As their friendship progresses, Molly begins to heal and just maybe realize, love might be a possibility for her once again.
This was such a feel-good, sweet story, and it completely pulled me in. The characters were well-developed and so endearing, you can't help but fall in love with them. The author also did a nice job of bringing the story and characters to life. A charming story full of heart and hope, I really enjoyed it! With summer not too far off, this would be the perfect book to bring with you on a nice relaxing day at the beach.
I received a complimentary copy from Hallmark Publishing via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Thank you NetGalley, Rachel Magee and Hallmark Publishing for the ARC of The Beach Escape. This is my personal review.
The cover, the title and the story all go perfectly together. This is an absolutely perfect book to grab and read while laying on the beach.
Molly got dumped at the rehearsal dinner for her best friend. That was not how she saw her day going. But she knew she was going to be Ok with having a job in Florida she was taking as a veterinarian.
The small town in Florida location is so perfect for the story.
When Molly met Grant, this was not what she was expecting. The connection between the two made the romance perfect. I could feel the chemistry as I was reading and loved every minute of it.

I absolutely loved reading The Beach Escape by Rachel Magee. I'll start off by saying that I sure hope this book is turned into a Hallmark movie!!
This book introduces us to
Dr. Molly Lawrence. She is fleeing a failed engagement and accepts an interim job as a visiting veterinarian at a clinic in Emerald Cove, Florida. Freshly hurt from the past bad relationship, Molly has no plans for romance but then she meets Grant Torres, director of the local Turtle Rescue and Rehab Center. The turtles steal her heart. And possibly... Grant eventually does too?? No spoilers here! Grant brings her a new patient, a sea turtle in need of an exam to expedite its release back into the ocean. Through her time at Emerald Cove, she learns a lot about herself, relationships, hope, and learning to trust others again. What comes next for this veterinarian as her current assignment is ending soon? I highly recommend this book.

I loved that the small town of Emerald Cove was a sanctuary for sea turtles but also genuinely nice people, a community of people that support one another. I loved how sweet this book was and reading about the healing nature of the story. You could see the heroine processing grief and loss of a relationship, and how she learned to embrace life and all her new adventures. I loved the friendly neighbors that included Molly in their early coffee ritual and how they developed that friendship.

This Book could Have Been Wayyyyy Shorter....

Read if you like:

🐢 Turtles.... I mean not just a Mention full on Ninja Power 24/7

🐢 Clean Romance

🐢 Cheesy Hallmark Movies (this is Hallmark all over)

🐢 Friends to (I wouldn't say lovers its all very PG) friends that hold hands.....

🐢 Feel like visiting Stepford! or Pleasantville before any story actually kicks in....

The characters are one dimensional, there was little substance to them and all very perfect there was no character flaws that draw you to them, They eat seafood which was surprising after they save sea animals and are vets/ Marine Biologists, there is alot of Filler not much story...

*****Spoiler Ahead *******

The basic jist is two friends go on lots of turtle rescue missions, start to feel something more than friends after a few weeks confess they love each other.... Thats basically it. Sorry.

This is a sweet book about Grant who runs the Turtle Conservation Facility in a beach town in Florida and Molly who is a full in vet while the permanent vet is on maternity leave.

It’s got love, beaches, and turtles… what more could you want?

Put this on your beach TBR list this summer.

Before Molly is to get married she finds out that her fiance and her best friend are in love so she decides to take an adventure. She is a veterinarian and she decides to become a traveling vet. She takes over when the local vet is having a baby or going on vacation. She finds herself in this little town for three months..

While she is there the story unfolds with her filling in and meeting a whole new family of friends and associates She tries new things and finds purpose for herself again.

What a truly uplifting story this was and I read it almost in one setting. It is one of those reads that you just find so hard to put down.

If this had been a Hallmark movie I would have enjoyed watching this on the couch on a sick day. I did not feel the title matched the context of the book.

The book is cute, the characters are sweet and I did enjoy learning everything I did about turtles. Something I didn't expect was for the male lead Grant to fall so quickly for Molly and it was nice and refreshing to see that as most of the romances I read are from the females perspective or if from the males view its a hate to love situation. Also nice touch with the recipe included after the final chapter.

However this book was not for me. It felt like I was dropped mid story at the start and everything felt rushed in the plot. I would have liked to have seen more of a relationship between Claire and Grant as they seem to have such a strong bond and are close but we get very limited interaction which felt unnatural for a brother who moved back to the town to look after his sister.

This was the perfect light-hearted, easy beach read. Molly takes a job covering a maternity leave for a local veterinarian for a few months in a small coastal town in Florida. There, she meets wildlife rehabilitationist Grant who has a sea turtle sanctuary nearby and he needs Molly’s help. Over the course of Molly’s contract, she and Grant get closer and they save a few turtles along the way too.

I really enjoyed this book. It was an all around general feel-good, slow-burn, summer read.
