To start with the narrator - I LOVE Julia Whelan. I think she is hands down the best audiobook reader of all time. I always feel a certain distance from a book when I listen to it, but she always manages to keep me close.

The Measure itself has taken over my thoughts. I find myself wanting to ask everyone I talk to if they would open their box. This is such a unique and thought-provoking story, and I felt deeply for all of the characters. The only thing I will note - the end comes out of nowhere and goes so quickly. It feels like the story is building up to a big moment, but then bam, it's 14 years later, and you're getting a quick update on what happened and how life is now. The ending feels fitting and true to the story, but I really didn't expect it at all.

I am excited for more people to read this book, I can imagine all of the deep conversations it will start! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me read it early.
