A very enjoyable read!
The romance between the two main characters was romantic and a joy to read about. They had wonderful banter and chemistry.
The heroine was my favorite of the two. She was so lovable and independent. I liked her quirks a lot and thought the added levity to the story.
I did feel the last conflict at the end was very sudden but at least it was resolved quickly.
Definitely give this a try if you enjoy marriage of convenience, mistaken identity, forced proximity, single parent, bluestocking heroines and banter.

Renee never misses the mark on romance. She writes romances that will make you smile, laugh a little and always believe in love. A marriage of convenience that is more than convenient for Ian and Sara. I loved their story. An entomologist and a scandalous duke should not be made for each other but in this story, they are sweet and loving and full of surprises. This is truly a romantic story.

A roguish gentleman and a spinster fascinated with butteries and science, come together at a masked ball and one kiss begins their journey!

Of course, he kissed the wrong lady dressed as a shepherdess, but oh what a kiss! When circumstances to help them both have them marrying, could these two opposites actually be happy?

A great addition to this series that will keep you sighing until the end!

Renee Ann Miller always writes the best stuffy dukes. Her heroines are always so witty and smart, and I love that in a wallflower. This was such a cute story and is a wonderful conclusion to this series. This was excellent series and I am so glad I read it.

GREAT READ!!!! Never Marry a Scandalous Duke by Renee Ann Miller is the last book in The Infamous Lords series and what a great way to end a series. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. I found this book to to easy yo read, original, had a real feel to the regency era, very well written, wonderful characters and just a turn delight to read. I found that Renee is going to be a super star with this book!!! I just loved that the main character was a butterfly enthusiast. This story has a Lady that is an Entomology a Duke that has 2 wards, a marriage of convenience, pulling pranks, wanting to be accepted, a horrible father, an evil stepmother, a scheme, changing ones will, greed, abuse and falling in love. I am highly recommending you read this book…you will not be disappointed!!!

Lady Sara would rather study butterflies than find a husband. But at a masquerade, the Duke of Dorchester mistakes her for another woman wearing the same costume. Discovered in a compromising position, they have no choice but to marry. Will the awkward bluestocking turn out to be the woman he and his young wards need?

Funny and heartwarming, this novel has delightful characters and a strong plot. While this is book 6 in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I definitely plan to go back and read the earlier books, though. I'm happy to have discovered this author.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The H is a duke who, heartbroken in his youth, has decided never to marry. The h is an entomologist who also intends never to marry who is forced into a sexy masquerade costume by a semi-mean older brother and ends up in a compromising position with the H, who mistakes her for his current mistress. To preserve both of their reputations, and to find someone to help with his unruly wards, the H offers the h a marriage of convenience. She keeps her dowry and can continue her insect studies, but she will need to share his bed with hopes of providing an heir.

I really enjoyed the interaction between the MC. The h is smart and completely unwilling to give in to the H, which both vexes and intrigues him. They are great in the bedroom together (there are steamy scenes) but need some help from the other to become more. I liked seeing the h interact with the H's wards, and watching the H realize his true emotions for the h. The "villain" thrown in towards the end was good if a bit predictable. I would definitely read more books by this author and plan to go back and read the other books in this series.

This was a rather fun romp of a Regency romance of a spinster who wishes to devote herself to studying insects and the Duke of Dorchester who has a terrible reputation. But they find that they are quite sexually compatible while she also has the ability to win over the Duke’s two rambunctious wards.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Ian McAllister the Duke of Dorchester is a rogue and the first time he spoke to Lady Sara Elsmere was in his Library, she had gone to escape and he was meeting his latest paramour. He accused her of being a peeping tom, she tried to explain but her brother arrived to say that their father had collapsed.

Twelve months later, Ian now ward to his two young unruly cousins who are loveable little monsters and Sara now out of mourning for her father, forced to attend a masquerade ball meet each other again. Ian thinking she is his latest paramour dressed as a Shepherdess pulls her into a closet and proceed to kiss her passionately only for her brother to find them.

Ian not really wanting to marry, but knowing that he did need a wife to bring up and calm his wards down proposes a marriage of convenience to Sara, she can keep her dowry and carry on with her life as normal but he would still want to share her bed.

The Duke was used to everyone giving him his own ways and it was a bit of a shock to realise that although they were great in bed, Sara would not always let him have his own way! Slowly with all the antics going on, Sara without realising it, wore down all his defences and he realised he was madly in love with her.

A fun story with plenty of steamy moments, which in parts had me chuckling. I loved the two young cousins characters and how they were represented in the story. Two very naughty boys who tried to scare Sara, but Sara being an entomologist, could hold her own and give back as good as she got. Ian, once he knew he loved Sara and she loved him back, changed into the warm loving person he was meant to be, which does come through in the story.

This is the first story I’ve read from this author and I would highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you Kensington Books for the opportunity to read and review this title.

An absolute wonderful read! I loved Ian and Sara and reading their love story. There weren’t any of the usual tropes that keep the H and h apart. It’s easy to see why they gravitate to each other and how they gradually fall in love. It’s part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I have read some of the other books and this is by far my favorite.

Miller’s characters are amazing, and the story is engaging.

Ian and Sara’s chemistry comes off the page from their first meeting. They are two of a kind in so many ways – both have families that mistreated them, although in different ways. This mistreatment has a long-lasting effect on the way they each view themselves and what they want. They are both strong, opinionated, stubborn, and kind-hearted characters. It was a joy watching these two characters interact with each other and those around them. I love character development and this story had it in spades for both main characters.

While at times I found the plot moving a little slowly overall I enjoyed the story and the subplot. The romance is sweet, hot, and perfect for these characters. I enjoyed the subplots, though I would have liked Sara’s brother and sister (especially her sister) to have been given a taste of her own medicine. How Miller handled it, was perfect for the characters. The ending wrapped up all the lose ends nicely and in a way that was befitting the main characters and their development.

The sex scenes are on page and open door, of which there are several.

Tropes: Marriage of convenience, Bluestocking and the feels of Enemies to Lovers.

The story is easy to read and enjoyable.

I have read some of the previous in this series but each book can be read as a standalone.

This book was a predictable lighthearted read. This doesn't stand out from the crowd but if you enjoy marriage of convenience tropes like I do then it's an enjoyable read.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ian McAllister, the Duke of Dorcester, never intended to marry, but when an indiscretion at masked balls has him caught kissing innocent Lady Sara, he has no choice but to offer for her. He offers her the one thing she truly wants and she accepts knowing that she will have the use of her dowry to continue to study her butterflies. What started out as a business deal starts to turn into something more. Could these two very different people find love in each other's arms?

I'm a fan of Ms. Miller and I loved that Sara was a bit odd, but not irritatingly so. Her intelligence and dedication to the study of butterflies were actually quite informative and I enjoyed how she won over Ian's wards with her pranks and attention. The author does a good job of teasing out Ian's backstory and why he is so driven by obtaining more wealth. Most of the story moves along well and the major conflict only comes at the end when Isabelle, Ian's former fiancee, shows up to wreak havoc on his life with Sara. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read and I'm look forward to reading the next story in the series.

I voluntarily read the advanced reader copy and all opinions are my own.

This book is the perfect lighthearted read I was looking for! It's full of comfortable tropes including: marriage of convenience, a pairing between spinster bluestocking and a rakish catch of the season, stoic hero with daddy issues who does not believe in love, and a hint of enemy-ish to lovers (they never really dislike each other, but the heroine believes so).

Sara, a spinster entomologist with a nervous laugh, is mistaken for someone else at a costume ball and finds Ian's tongue in her mouth. They get caught kissing. Initially, Ian is hesitant and does not want to offer for Sara, but his reputation among the ton affects his business ventures and he could use a wife to take care of his two wards. Sara needs to marry in order to receive her inheritance, which she needs in order to continue her study of butterflies. They strike up a business deal and enter into a marriage of convenience.

Sara was a great leading lady that didn't take any shit from anyone, but still was able to acknowledge her own faults and shortcomings. Her and Ian had really good chemistry. Ian's character is very stereotypical, but I liked him A LOT. He was incredibly smooth:

"Isn't Atargatis the mermaid who killed her husband?" The glint in her eyes conveyed she thought the woman a genius.

"No. She killed her lover, not her husband."

She mumbled something under her breath.

Probably her desire to kill him, but he was going to wipe that sanctimonious expression off her face. "She killed him because she was too great a lover for him. Have a go at it, darling. Let's see if you can do me in."

SQUEAAL!!!! That was so hot. There are few other scenes, but this was my favorite.

All in all, this was a great book. I took off a star because I hated the relationship between Sara and her younger sister, Louisa.

This book was the last in the Infamous Lords series. Never Marry a Scandalous Duke and Never Deceive a Viscount were my favorites throughout the series & I highly recommend the author for any fans for Tessa Dare/Stacy Reid/Lisa Kleypas and such.

I received an ARC via NetGalley, all thoughts & opinions are my own.

Thanks to Netgalley for an ARC of this book - I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I usually love historical romances featuring female scientists, who do not want to bow down to societal expectations and just get married, so I really wanted to like Sara. Unfortunately, I found her character lacking in depth and, therefore, hard to relate to. While Ian was dashing and everything a hero should be, I didn't really get the chemistry between the pair.

I still enjoyed the story, particularly the honest love that the couple find at the end.

Thoroughly enjoyable book. I love how they confound each other at the start and brought something into each other’s life, even after a villainess made her move. There is such a fluidity to the story that before you know it, you have spent several engrossing hours reading the book to the end.

A very enjoyable story with well developed and interesting characters. I was quickly caught up in Ian and Sara's romance, and a not so convenient marriage that turns into a wonderful happily ever after.

A scientist and bluestocking, Sara just wants someone to fund her studies. A guardian of two unruly little boys, Ian just wants someone to be able to control them. After Ian is caught kissing Sara by mistake, they make a deal. They will have a marriage of convenience. Instead they build a marriage around their immediate family which they find much more satisfying. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Kensington Books for my honest review.

Wowza, what a delight! This was so different than the typical regency romance novels I find. The “roque/rake” was really quite a misnomer and I really enjoyed him. Of course, I loved Sara -who doesn’t love a strong female lead? I felt like they could be real people; they didn’t appear to be too far in any personality trait. Their love story was sweet and I excited to pick up other novels from this author!
