I did read it two years ago and I did rate it 4 stars, still I remember I loved the book and both main characters.

Cute read. I enjoyed most of it. Some part I found myself skimming through and other parts I was hooked to see what was happening.
It was fun and I found myself laughing, I loved their banter but of course, the dog stole the show.

Any book that has to do with animals is a must read for me, so I was excited to read this one. But it was just… okay. It had a lot of potential, but just didn’t grab me and keep me interested.

*Men or Paws: A Romantic Comedy* by Rich Amooi falls flat with its predictable plot and one-dimensional characters. The premise of a woman choosing between a man and her dog could have been fun, but the execution feels forced and contrived. The humor is often cringeworthy, relying on clichés and overused tropes rather than clever wit. The protagonist lacks depth, and the romance feels superficial and rushed. The characters’ interactions lack authenticity, and the pacing drags. Overall, it’s a disappointing read that fails to deliver on the promise of a charming rom-com, leaving me bored and unimpressed by the end.

I don't really know what clinched it for me, whether it was the likeable, down to earth Beth, the sexy, kind, actor Rocco or the adorable escape artist dog Houdini, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I always love Rich Amooi's simple, light-hearted, positive and humorous style and this book was absolutely no different.
I was completely rooting for Beth's happiness and I adored the ending. Nothing wrong with a bit of spice either!

I found this one to be on slow side, The story was cute but a little too cheesy for my liking. I felt like the main female character lacked a lot of depth. There were some funny moments, but overall this won't be a memorable novel for me...

NOT a fan of the cover. She looks anorexic and I got pretty tired of reading it towards the end. I just wanted it to be over.

First of all, the title! immediately sold! This was such a cute and funny story. I was drawn in instantly. The characters were all relatable and brought a lot to the story. Houdini the dog was my favorite character!

The book was getting way too tiresome at the end. the fun and exciting beginning got lost somewhere. I didn't really get the chemistry between the characters and the side characters were pretty annoying. The Hero did not have that charming-ness for a rom com hero

A fun swoony Rom-com. With loud and loud moments, great banter and enemies to lovers tensions that keeps you “reading” for more. This is my first Amooi book but it won’t be my last. I loved the humor mixed within the pages of this one and I’m excited to see more from this author.

Thank you for my free copy in exchange for an honest review! I found this book to be a little flat regarding the characters and writing. There were good moments, but overall a forgettable book. The book felt rushed, and tried to accomplish too much in the chapters. This was a book where the cover and title intrigued mee but let me down on the plot.

It was trying too hard to be interesting and funny that it became boring and just cringy. The insta-love was awkward.

This was such a fun and light-hearted read! It was simply a very feel-good book that I couldn't stop grinning the whole time I was reading. I liked the fun characters and their chemistry. I liked how they started off on the wrong foot and then so easily shifted that into friendship and then something more. I adored their exchanges and playfulness with each other. It was really entertaining and cute.
Rocco had such a beautiful heart. Like?? How could a man who have so much in his life be so down-to-earth? I just loved him. Beth was a fun character as well. She was funny and could banter with Rocco for days. I also liked how they are so cute about their shared interests.
The conflict at the end felt a bit out of the blue and resolved in a rather rushed manner. Although, I wouldn't have liked conflicts to be dragged so I guess it's okay. All in all, this was a very light, fun, a little cheesy, read that sure kept a smile on my face. (The supporting characters are cute too.)

Who doesn't love a romance book that also has an adorable dog? This was a great little romance that I would recommend for anyone who loves romcoms!

This book was the perfect mix of sweet, funny and a lot of love! And if you’re a dog lover, double the love! This book is a must read in your bookshelf and will have you craving more from this author, so be warned!

Men or Paws is an amazing romcom book
Beth is starting to create a business on making organic dog treats. Rocco is in need for a dog sitter due to him having to focus on reading scripts. Rocco dog Houdini was now In favored of Beth’s hands for 3 weeks.
Overall this book was so was so cute and very funny. If you love books that are based off dogs this book is for you. This book was so entertaining and I could not stop reading it!! I highly recommend reading this book!!

This book sounded really cute - a famous bad boy hero and a dog, what's not to love! - but overall it unfortunately fell a bit flat. I didn't connect with the characters and found the a bit annoying for much of the book. One I wouldn't pick up for a re-read!
Thank you to the publisher for a review copy of the book.

2.5 stars rounded up.
The book was good. The characters weren't as fleshed out, the plot was feeble and the suspension of disbelief was high. The writing was good and that is what saved this book in my opinion.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. It doesn't impact my opinion in any way.

Sadly, this was a DNF book for me. I tried I really did. I picked it up multiple times but kept putting it back down and forced myself to open it again. Ultimately, I think it was just a matter of not connecting with the characters. Though, the premise sounded really cute, it just wasn't for me.
Thank you Netgalley and author for the book copy.
