As a current Book Club Organizer, this Book Club Kit was very helpful. I enjoyed the Author chats and the insight in what to ask to then have more discussion questions for meet ups. The creating open communication section really was beneficial as well. Overall the guide was straight to the point, well written. It kept my attention and had me searching other kits.

I absolutely loved this book club kit. Content warnings start off this kit, which is honestly something that I’m really going to be expecting from all kits moving forward. This one does start off with a note that there are spoilers included, which is certainly important to note. As someone who hasn’t read the book and didn’t know much about it prior, I utilized some scanning of this kit in order to determine whether I would want to read it.

Of the content I read, I did really appreciate this one and do see it as something that is one hundred percent necessary to include in a reading of The Rumor Game.. The format was exceptionally fun and I loved each included resource, especially the one for mental health support. I can’t wait to pick up this book and take a look at how this kit supplements it!

Impeccable design. I loved how they formatted this like an ipad or iphone. The creating open communication guide (for adult and kids) was an excellent touch.

A great guide for any Book Club especially one willing to brave teen, YA, and adult conversations throughout the novel. The "What to Read Next" suggestions were spot on and relevant. We need more kits like this.

I loved the look of this guide! Great choice to go with the phone aesthetic and the content itself was super helpful to get to know the book!

I enjoyed this title quite a bit! I haven’t been able to focus on YA titles due to my work focusing on adult fiction, but I am glad I picked this up. If a younger book club chose it, I think they would have a good discussion, and it would be fun for older teens to read.

Oh yes, my book club wants to discuss THE RUMOR GAME this year, and I'm so glad I found this handy kit!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.

Opinions are mine.

I really liked the format of the book club discussion. I liked how everything looked like it was on a phone, which perfectly fits the vibe of the book. I also enjoyed the conversation between the two authors, especially formatted as group chat messages.

Important topics need the right guide that helps them be discussed, and I can't wait to do that with my book club and our first book of the new year!

Thanks to We Are Bookish and NetGalley, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

"Book Club Kit: The Rumor Game" by Dhonielle Clayton and Sona Charaipotra offers an intriguing concept for book clubs, providing a framework for engaging discussions. The inclusion of thought-provoking questions and activities enhances the communal reading experience. However, the execution falls short in terms of diversity in book selections and discussion prompts. The kit's potential is hindered by a lack of depth and variety in the chosen titles, limiting its universal appeal. While it serves as a useful resource for book clubs seeking structure, a more inclusive and diverse approach would elevate its effectiveness.

This book club kit would make the perfect companion to any book club meeting about The Rumor Game. The formatting of this kit was really cool and I loved that it tied in so well with the themes explored in the book. I wish there were some more interactive activities included within this kit just to add some fun to the book club rather than just discussions.

Before reading this, I hadn't heard of The Rumor Game however now I am very excited to read it!

The Book Club Kits are fabulous tools to enrich your reading experience. They provide questions that make you reflect more on what you've read and points to discuss in a book club to hear different thoughts and explore further. Even if you're not in a book club, you can use it to ponder on some aspects of the book that you may have missed or wouldn't have lingered on when you read it. If you want to get more out of a book, the book club kit will act as a wonderful learning tool. Highly recommended.

I love a book club kit! I feel it enhances the experience of reading the book. The kits draw a group reading together closer and sometimes make you think about what you are reading. It's always fun to learn extra little tidbits about a book and an author.

This book club kit was well thought out and put together. It not only included thoughtful questions, and resources given the topic. I appreciated that it included information on the author, other books by her/the publisher, and suggestions for books to read if you enjoyed this one. This would be a great kit for someone wanting to take a deep dive into the book.

This is a REVIEW ONLY of The BOOK CLUB KIT for “The Rumor Game,” a young adult mystery/thriller by Authors Dhonielle Clayton and Sona Charaipotra about a Washington, DC, prep school where popularity is key, but rumors can knock a person off of their hard-earned social-hierarchy pedestal within moments.

This fabulously created colorful 22-page e-book is with loaded with everything to make your Book Club meeting memorable. There are loads of discussion questions to stimulate insightful two-way conversations among reading groups, although it isn’t as colorful or visual appealing as I would expect for a teen/young adult Book Kit. Bright art and bold, eye-catching graphics would make a huge impression upon a young audience. Nonetheless, the Q & As are excellent and will be useful for Book Club Leaders, Librarians, as well as readers themselves who want extra insight into the background of the book and author. ❇️. This Book Club Kit could benefit by adding additional graphics and fun elements such as playlists, recipes, uniform patterns, etc. However, users will find an author interview; bookmarks to print and cut out; additional suggested readings and help resources.

TheBookMaven graciously thanks NetGalley, Authors Dhonielle Clayton and Sona Charaipotra, and Publisher We Are Bookish for this Advanced Reader’s Copy (ARC) for review.

Funky way to set it out, which I liked. I'm not a fan of content warnings. Really like the printable bookmarks and questions. Would be helpful for book club.

I will not give a real and genuine feedback because I don't have the book.

I thought it was a full kit with a book.
Although I think this is a fun and practical guide to have in a book club.

So sorry.
