I requested this book club kit thinking it was the book (my bad!), but I did look through it, and I love the way it's organized. There are different sections including:

Spoiler/Content Warnings
Author Interview
Discussion Guide
Bookmarks
Recommendations
And more...

I wish that more books came with such organized book club kits. I love finding discussion guides especially because I admin a YA group on Facebook so it's great to have questions that the author/publisher feels will spark a good conversation.

I do plan on reading this book and will look further at the book club kit once I do.

This is the first book club kit I’ve downloaded from NetGalley, but it certainly won’t be the last. I’ve previously enjoyed reading discussion questions authors included at the end of the book, so I was excited about this opportunity to dive into The Rumor Game even more. It was great to read some insights from the authors and learn more about what went into the creation of this guide (and the book itself). The guide highlights all the big moments of the book, and I appreciated how it included trigger warnings and resources for those who might be affected by those particular situations. I was also appreciative of the fact that it provided resources for teens and parents. Overall, I think it helped increase my enjoyment and understanding of The Rumor Game. Would definitely recommend this to those wanting to read the book. An easy five stars from me!

I found the author insights intriguing. It is always great to hear from authors and the process that they go through, especially with teens to give that extra encouragement and a place to start. The discussion questions are great starting points but I think there could be more questions.

This didn't seem to have as much content as the If The Shoe Fits book kit, however I do think the inclusion of resources for readers affected by the book was a wonderful addition.

I loved the bookmarks again but my favourite part was the layout itself! It shows how much effort has gone into putting this kit together and was a really addition.

If you are a teen, this bookclub kit has everything you need to spark discussion with friends about this book. Read texts from the coauthors to gleam their perspectives and inspirations. Check out other books written by the authors. If you’re hosting a bookclub, print out bookmarks for your guests and discuss the questions provided. If you are a parent, resources are included to tackle mental health issues.

This book clubs question and answer kit was perfect I feel there is always certain questions people have but in general this kit covered the important aspects of the book. I like that you put a warning about spoilers right in the beginning so people that have not finished the book will know before reading further. All in all a great book club kit. Thank you for letting me review this

As a librarian, I try to do multiple book clubs throughout the year. I love this group of resources. It is often har to find discussion questions and other materials for a book club. I would definitely use this when using this book for a book club.

Thank you NetGalley. I really like the way this Book Club Kit is set up. I hadn’t heard about the book before now but after looking at this kit and reading through it I’m intrigued.. I’m going to have to find and read this book. The interview with the authors was very interesting.. I think the Discussion guide questions are thought provoking for both teenagers and adults. I also liked the advise on creating open discussion for adults and teenagers.

I recieved an ARC of this so I could use this as hosting my school book club, and this months' read is The Rumor Game by Dhonielle Clayton.

I love the formatting, as it matches the theme 1000%, along with the text messages.

The photo album concept with the bookmarks were cute, along with more book recommendations of simillar books.

To explain about the author, they added a instagram themed slide, which contains information about the author along with other book they've written.

They also add an author interview in text message form.

I loved this, and i cannot wait to use this at my book club.

I LOVED that the design of this book group kit looks like a smart phone. It fits the theme perfectly. I also really liked the author discussion - it covered some really interesting themes and practical considerations. And the inclusion of resources and how to talk about tough things was really great.

I really like the layout of this book club kit and how it relates to the book. I also appreciate that there are guides and warnings for some of the harder to discuss topics that the book covers. It's a great resource for someone to use with a book club, particularly a teacher or someone at a local library setting up a book club for teens.

NetGalley provides publisher-sponsored Book Club Kits as PDFs. Their latest release is based on The Rumor Game by Dhonielle Clayton and Sona Charaipotra. The book is a fast-paced social thriller where the rumor mill spreads like fire through the social media accounts of a prep school.

I really appreciate the whole package of this Book Club Kit. It is themed off of the book itself, with items a student would have and a particular focus on phones (as social media plays a big part in the story). The title page includes a cell phone with the book's cover on its screen, a notebook, a pen, some post-its and ruled paper, all seemingly sitting on a desk. The Table of Contents comes next, and it's stylized as if you took a screenshot of your phone's Settings main page.

The following page is stylized as two reminders popping up over a group chat, though we only see snippets of the conversation such as "I saw it all go down" and "So many lies." The reminders themselves include a spoiler alert (as the kit contains explicit spoilers for the ending of the book) and content warnings. I'm so glad they included both of these at the beginning of the kit, because it is very important to let people know about the heavier topics involved in books like this, so a reader can more accurately determine if this is a book for them.

Further pages include: an author interview (stylized as a group chat), a discussion guide, bookmarks based on the book that you can print out and use, suggestions on what to read next, two guides on how to create open lines of communication (one for adults and one for teens), various resources, about the authors pages, more from the publisher (Disney-Hyperion), and an about section for the kit itself.

Big shout-out to We Are Bookish, an editorially independent division of NetGalley, and the publisher Disney-Hyperion, because this Book Club Kit for The Rumor Game looks phenomenal and is a great asset.
