Im a huge sucker for Holliday novellas! You really can’t go wrong with a St Patrick’s Day themed sapphic romance.

This short & sweet story was about Saoirse and Nell. When Nell comes into Saorise’s bar, The Lucky Leprechaun, the two quickly hit it off. You can’t really expect to fit a fully developed plot & characters in a 100 page novella but there was definitely a twist that I didn’t see coming!

The only thing I was confused by was the title. The book really doesn’t have a lot to do with the mall but after looking into the author I realized this book is part of a series and I thought the concept of all her books having the same slight overlap in setting was fun.

Overall I enjoyed this book and though it was a perfect read for St. Patrick’s Day. Thanks so much to NetGalley for the ARC!

I was drawn into this book by the St. Patrick's Day holiday theme, F/F narrative and bright and colorful cover. When I read the blurb, I thought I would give it a try. I have never read Sarah Robinson, though I have seen her books before, and try to read F/F romances when I come across them. Unfortunately this one missed the mark for me. There was too much story for the length of the book. As soon as I became invested in Saoirse and Nell, it was abruptly the epilogue. This is also a very clean romance, which I was not suspecting. I think this story had a lot of promise, but just didn't work for me.

I received a galley of this book from Netgalley and voluntarily give my review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the St Patrick’s Day pick-me-up.
A short romance, which goes from 0-60 incredibly quickly. While we don’t get much pause for a break, we can see exactly how this is going from the off.
Saoirse has bought herself a bar and is preparing for opening night. She’s used to running away (having been engaged three times) but isn’t prepared for the arrival of Nell in her life. Within minutes of their first meeting Nell is pretending they’re married, and before we know it the book is over and they’ve got together.
This isn’t going to be a book I’d recommend in a hurry as everything hurtled along at breakneck speed. In a romance, sometimes it’s nice to see them working their feelings out.

A quick and funny read. A quirky couple is instantly attracted to each other and find they have dated the same person in the past. Throw in a pet snake and a drinking game for lots of fun.

Super short story with a meet cute, a weird coincidence and then an epilogue that wrapped it up better than the ending did. The two main characters meet at the mall-one is taking over the new place and the other is a regular at the old place. Things move super fast from there and they pretend to be married for a news story.
It was a super fast read and kinda cute but I feel like it needed a little more story.
Thanks to the author, IMAG Literary Agency, IMAG social media and NetGalley for this arc in exchange for my review.

this is a novella following two women: nell (a successful woman in stem with a pet snake named laura dern) and saoirse (the new girl in town and buys ownership of nell's favorite bar and has commitment issues due to her family history).

since this was a novella, there wasn't really enough space to include every narrative and development. but i think the author still managed to sum up every important points; how the mcs met, the conflict which i found very entertaining because i love drama lol, and the epilogue which almost gave me a mini heart attack because i didn't immediately get who were getting married. 😅

i just didn't buy the reason why nell and saoirse had to pretend that they're married. i knew it was a spur of the moment decision given the situation but i felt like there could have been more sensible resolution to that like telling dick to go eff himself or something.

it's still a cute and fun story and i enjoyed it.

3.5/5 ⭐

Saoirse (pronounced Sur-Sha), has taken over the pub; one of the pub's regulars is Nell. While Saoirse is known to be a run-away bride it doesn't stop her from falling in love.

While the two are busy romancing it doesn't take long for things to get complicated when Nell's ex-girlfriend is actually Saoirse's ex-fiancee she recently left at the alter.

I genuinely really like this author and have read a couple of pieces by her previously, but I have had issues with this one.

The thing I love about Robinson's writing is that she doesn't hang around with her narrative. Her characters always get to the point, whether a novel or novella.

This makes whatever she writes a fast-paced read that you can get into straight away.

However, I have two issues with this one; I wanted this to be longer. I do understand that this is written as a novella but it had a very abrupt ending before the epilogue, with a single paragraph explaining what had happened. This could have been a really good narrative if it had had an opportunity to be longer.

Also, Robinson writes her usual chapters splitting between the two main characters, which she has always done, but something I have noticed in all her writing is that she switches POV within the chapters, which can actually get quite frustrating and confusing while reading. It was more frustrating in this one as the two main characters were female so became very confusing.

I still won't rule out this author from my list, I am just disappointed with this novella.

Nell is a successful career woman in the STEM field specifically vaccine research in Michigan.. Saoirse has just taken over and revamped Nell's favorite bar. While checking out the revamped bar, Nell dramatically intervenes when a newspaper reporter insists on bringing up Saoirse's past. Will the Leprechaun bring luck or will both their pasts continue to haunt them? A quick, frothy romance set in a small Michigan town that is part of a series of fun romcoms. A fun quick read!

This is a supershort f/f romance, which isn't my usual read. But it's Sarah Robinson and I love these At the Mall shorts, so of course I was going to jump at the chance to read it. And I'm glad I did. As its a cute little read, the characters Saoirse and Nell are great, and there's some nice banter too. Not to mention it's themed around St Patrick's Day which is always fun.

Would recommend.

Saoirse and Nell meet at the bar that Saoirse has just taken over. Will they have a chance together when they find out they share an ex?

Their eyes met across the bar, and wham, they were smitten. I think that was a first for both of them. Even though, when it came to relationships Saoirse has had her fair share of them (including 3 failed engagements). Nell on the other hand was having a bit of a dry spell. They meet, they drink (a lot), they wake up together. This is a novella, so everything happens super quick, it packs in a lot though, including a nearly 3 foot boa, an upset ex, and a dodgy reporter. Wow, it really is a small world, didn’t see that twist coming. A quick fun read.

Really really short but sweet. A good read that made me smile. Glad I came across it.

Mall Out of Luck tells of the meeting of eclectic scientist Nell and New bar owner Saoirse. These two just seem to fit. If Saoirse’s past doesn’t mess up their chance of a future. I enjoyed this fast-paced holiday romp.

I didn’t love this book. I didn’t hate it either. It was a quick and entertaining read. Sarah Robinson writes well, but the story lacked character development and since the story was so short things progressed at an unusually quick pace that seemed to unrealistic. Will I read another book by Sarah Robinson? Probably not. Am I angry that I read this book? No.

Mall Out of Luck is such a cute read. I loved this quick read so much and how it ties into all the At the Mall series. You have a ff love connection that you are going to love. Saoirse and Nell are fabulous. I love Nell and how she just steps in when she notices Saoirse needing a little help. Saoirse has never had luck when it comes to love and hoping her new bar will have all the luck she needs. This is a sweet read that you will not be able to put down. You need to meet Nell and Saoirse today and see what happens.

A Five-star read that brings the luck of the Irish with it. This is number three in the At the Mall books, but they can all be read as stand-alone as each is about a different business and couple, they do pop up in each other stories and they are all cute and short enough to read all together. When we met Nell in a previous story she made me smile with her wit and heart, now that Saoirse has moved to the Mall is she all that she finally needs? This is short and cute, and packs an almighty punch, must like a visit to the mall should.
