I really enjoyed this book. There were lots of useful tips to help you feel happier and become more resilient. Tips to help you feel calm.

I liked the case studies which made the tips and experiences more relatable.

I would read more by the author and will definitely be lustening to his podcasts. As well as following the advice given in the book.

In simple and easy to understand language, the writer has provided ten simple exercises that people can follow in order to lead a better life. The book flows easily with ample supply of examples, explanations, personal life experiences, case studies along with links to the author’s podcasts for additional content. It is a quick read and has the potential to fill its readers with hope, inspiration and the motivation to take small steps towards a well balanced and harmonious lifestyle. The title seems apt as I do believe that a happy mind results in a happy life.

Thank you BenBella Books and NetGalley for allowing me early access to the book.

Another great book by Dr Chatterjee, his books are so down to earth, and I find them so incredibly helpful.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

From the very beginning, Dr Chatterjee shares that this book is about finding joy in the little things, what he attempts to describe as core happiness.
He proceeds to share some daily habits, of key things we could do daily and they're just ten things that have worked for him, his patients and inspired him to do better. There is a part where he reflects on his father's life and he says "Like a lot of immigrants, my parents traded in the raw ingredients of happiness for these successes." I felt that to my core mostly because as a child seeing your parents struggles, you feel the pressure to succeed, to attain a certain status that makes your life comfortable aside from the fact that you are new to a country, and it gets even more depressing when others judge you as 'less than' with all your accomplishments.
What I loved most about this book is the tone and structure- when it comes to personal development, I look for something that is concise because it is true that life's activities wear me down, so when I am reading about how to improve on a situation- the clearer, well thought and well explained a concept is, the easier it is for me to want to try it out. This book has that, the take away nudges at the end of each chapter, the case studies or examples and it has pictures too.
I would recommend it to someone who is looking for snippets, for the little things or steps she/he can take to be present in their daily life and cherish moments. Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher for the eARC.
