Three Kisses, One Midnight is an anthology book consisting of 3 stories revolving around three best friends named Onny, Ash, and True also known as The Coven, looking for true love at Onny's annual Halloween midnight gala with the help of a love potion and a mysterious ghost.

What I liked about this book:
I enjoyed the stories of the three different characters. I really identified with True because I rule my life with my intelligence/hard facts as opposed to my emotions and I liked that she didn't immediately want to be with Orion because she wanted to be able to trust him first. I also enjoyed the lifelong story/relationship between Ash and Cassidy. I felt like Ash and Cassidy were the most realistic couple in the anthology. One of the best components of this story was the lore of the Lady of Moon Ridge. I don't believe in ghosts/spirits myself but this character might just make me a believer. All three storylines and character development aspects came together beautifully at the end of the book.

What I didn't like about this book:
In some parts of the story, I feel like I could tell that each character was written by a different author because the stories had different vibes to them. For example, Onny had a very jokey type vibe to her story while Ash and True had more serious vibes. I had a bit of a hard time getting into the book while reading Onny's story but the other two had me hooked.

Overall, I would give this book 4.5 stars and I would recommend it for a nice, clean, and short read as well as for all of the autumn/Halloween vibes, especially if you enjoy Hocus Pocus!

These stories were so cute! Centering around three best friends and their path to their first loves, around a magical time of year in a small town, throw in a love potion and voila! Three really engaging short stories about young love, but I also appreciated the depiction of friendship and family and community that also played a huge role in them.
Ash, True and Onny were so relatable, funny and engaging all in different ways, and the dynamic lent balance to their friendship, and also their love interests.

Onny’s grandmother was magical, and, when she died, she left Onny a recipe for a love potion – not the kind that compels someone to fall in love, but the kind of love potion that awakens the seeds of love already in them. Somehow, Onny convinces her two best friends, Ash and True, to try out the love potion with her at the masquerade party celebrating the 400th anniversary of their town. Though little goes according to plan, the believer, the hopeful, and the skeptic will all get their chance for a kiss before midnight.
Each of the three stories are told separately, focusing on one of the friends at a time. While each is enjoyable, they don’t mesh together as well as they should, allowing for some inconsistencies throughout the one night. Nevertheless, I liked reading all three stories – Onny is my favorite, though, with her personality, antics, and wit that kept me laughing.
Onny is Filipina, Ash is implied Asian, Cassidy is at least part Chilean, and Bradley and Orion are implied White. True is a little more complicated, described as having “rich mahogany skin” and as being an indeterminate mix of German, Indian, and American. There are a couple other important characters whose races and skin colors are undefined. The mature content rating is for mention of underage drinking, mention of sex, and innuendo.

This was a really cute romance set against a magical background. I tend to like books with more conflict, but this was sweet and fun. Perfect to read in October if you’re not into horror. I felt like the first character was the most fully developed, but I was interested in all of the intertwining stories.

An absolutely adorable book! Three Kisses, One Midnight is the prefect book if your looking for a sweet and fun magical Halloween story. Three different short stories all tied together by a love potion.
Onny, Ash and True are best friends, dubbed “the coven”, and together before midnight they decide to use Onny’s grandmothers love potion to find true love. Each friend has a different view on love and skepticism when it comes to magic but the night takes each one on a journey. Funny, sweet, romantic and just a joy to read!

This is a super cute connected anthology, with three stories about best friends finding love on Halloween night. Each character has a love potion that's supposed to help them connect with someone who would make a good match for them. There's also a legend about the Lady of Moon Ridge, usually a star in the sky, who comes to the town every 400 years to help people find love. The little bit of paranormal mixed in was fun and added to the Halloween theme.

Onny is the optimist of the group, the one who believes in magic and makes the potion for her and her friends. I thought she was cute and funny, though a bit oblivious to what was right in front of her.

Ash is quiet and shy and an excellent artist. He has a crush on his neighbor and needs a push to finally talk to her. Luckily, a broken fence might provide the perfect opportunity.

True is the skeptic who only believes in science and things that can be proven. She's had her heart broken before and isn't about to open up to someone again, until a certain ghost hunter pushes his way into her life.

There's also a side couple of Mr. Brightside and Mayor Grimjoy that I absolutely adored and would love to see more of. We need an origin story for them please!!

Three Kisses, One Midnight is a stand-alone novel that is part supernatural and part romance. Neither genre overpowers the other and readers will be delighted with how the story unfolds. I was interested to learn more about each character as they tried their best to find love and the subordinate characters were just as interesting as they weaved in and out of the main characters’ tales. Three possible romances with one overarching story made this an extremely fun read.

I didn't love all the stories equally, but I had a lot of fun with it. Loved the shared world of it. My store sells romance well, and I've recommended this to our main romance seller because combined we can sell the crap out of this!

This anthology follows three best friends, Onny, Ash, and True, on Halloween night as they employ the use of Onny's grandmother's love potion to find their true loves. This was a fun story, and I enjoyed seeing each character's romance unfold in the order in which they appear (we start with Onny, then Ash and True); it seemed as though the timelines built off of each other, which made this seem like a full length novel rather than a collection of stories. Onny's story was my favorite--big surprise, it was academic rivals to lovers, so of course I loved it--but the other two kinda fell flat for me? The characters were really immature for their age--in the last story, a group of junior- and senior-age boys steal a doll and dangle her off a roof? That isn't something 17 and 18 year-olds do? And just because you gave them beer breath doesn't all of a sudden make that common for their age? Actions like that kick me out of the story, so I was disappointed that 2/3 had characters and events like that. This is an enjoyable collection overall, as long as you pretend the characters are in, like, middle school or something--that's really my only critique. I would recommend this for the fall time, especially because there's a bit of a ghost plot happening!

Three Kisses, One Midnight follows a coven of three friends who discover a recipe for a love potion. Set against the backdrop of a masquerade ball on Halloween, the group dabbles in magic and a local legend, and all three find love by the time the clock strikes midnight.

This was so cute! A relatively short book, each of the three friends is the primary focus of one section, so in a lot of ways, it almost feels like reading three novellas. Despite the relatively shortened space each main character got to grow, the characters felt real and fully realized and were easy to love and root for.

In some ways, this is a heartwarming book, as it dives deeply into themes of love and friendship and self-worth. In other ways, with the potions and magic and ghost stories, this feels like the perfect book for anyone looking for a bit of a spooky atmosphere for the upcoming spooky season.

Overall, though I would have loved more time with our main characters and their stories, this was a fun little read that I’ll definitely be returning to for the vibes come October.

This is a super cute light and fun book. I loved all the mysticism surrounding Moon Ridge. Oony, Ash, and True were sweet characters,. Three were a lot of fun side characters too. I wouldn’t mind reading more stories set in this verse. As I said, super lighthearted and the perfect “romance” level for a YA book. This would be a perfect Halloween read.

Three Kisses, One Midnight is a super sweet, slightly magical romance novel. Our protagonists are three best friends, Onny, Ash, and True. They live in Moon Ridge, a town with a local legend about two lovers who ascended into the heavens and became stars. This Halloween is the 400th anniversary of the lovers, and therefore, supposed to be a time of true love. Will Onny, Ash, and True find theirs? The lore of this town was beautiful and the romance was perfect. *Chef's kiss.*

I ended up liking this way more than I was expecting. The authors created a myth around two tragic young lovers who end up being reunited in the sky as twin stars. Every 400 years, so the story goes, the lady comes down from the stars to visit the town of Moon Ridge and possibly bring true love to certain couples. This story was co-written in three parts by one of my favorite authors, Roshani Chokshi, and two other authors I am unfamiliar with. Three best friends, Onny, Ash, and True each have their chance at true love on Halloween, and I had a lot of fun reading about that night from each of their perspectives.

Onny's story sets up the night and explains the myth as well as the source of the love potions. I enjoyed her love story even if I could see it coming a mile away. But it was fun watching her realize what was literally in front of her face the whole time. I enjoyed this story, but it wasn't my favorite.

Ash's story is the one that had me saying, "awwww" just about the whole time. I loved his story the most and I wished I could see his artwork. I especially wanted to see all the masks he made, but looking at this art studio would have been cool too.

True's story I liked at least as much as Onny's and there was a moment when I even said, "Waaaaaaaait!!!!!" I loved the scene with her parents and about the origin of her name, and the balcony scene was awesome although I did worry for Wynona.

Overall, I thought this would make a great read for Halloween, but it would also make a fun beach read. I love that the three authors came together and created this fun story. If you are fans of any of these three authors, you should check this out. Unlike some novellas or short story collections where I like some of the stories but not all of them, because this is a collaboration of a bigger story, I ended up really liking the book as a whole. It was definitely more cohesive.

This was a really cute anthology! I really enjoyed the way the stories were all focused on this one friend group and explored each of their personalities. The love interests meshed really well with each character and the banter was just absolutely adorable! While some of the texts and language felt a bit too forced at times, I think overall it was a cozy little romance mixed with a bit of supernatural!

In the first story, the banter was the strongest point. There was a bit of rivalry and the payoff made it all the more amazing! In the second story, I think I related the most to the introspection and commentary about finding solace in doing what you love and loving the things that make the other's eyes light up with passion. The third one had a lovely story about finding yourself with a side of romance and I especially liked the little tidbit about True's name!

All in all, I really enjoyed this and would recommend it if anyone wants just a quick and cozy lighthearted romance!

A cute fall read. It takes place of the course of one fall night at a masquerade party that celebrates the town's 400th anniversary. The 3 main characters are trying to find their true loves by using a love potion. The first story (my favourite) had enemies-to-lovers and they had to work together to create more of the love potion. The second was a friends-to-lovers story with not as much of a plot besides fixing a fence. The final story (my least favourite) had the main character fall in love with a stranger and they worked together to get a stolen mannequin back.

The vibes were impeccable, the fall atmosphere and descriptions were transformative. The stories were a bit cheesy but it was a super quick read. If you love these authors, you should definitely pick this up this fall.

Such romance! I adored this! 3 short stories about Onny, Ash and True finding love on the 400th anniversary of their towns founding. The sky itself holds 2 lovers on this night, the Lady and Gentleman of Moon Ridge. But, the Lady's star is missing from the sky and it's possible on this magical night that she is at Onny's parent's gala with the rest of the town making sure love finds it's way to these three friends.

This was great. I loved that it was 3 different stories, one about each friend. This let me get to know them really well and feel a connection to this tale. I am a sucker for romance and this book is perfection!

The 3 stories follow Onny, Ash, and True on Halloween night, four hundred years after their town, Moon Ridge, was founded. All three have complicated histories with relationships, but they just might be destined to find love on this mysterious and spooky night.

Sometimes I’m just in a mood where I want to read a lighthearted romance. Prior to reading Three Kisses, One Midnight I did not realize that I needed a lighthearted spooky romance novel in my life! The cute stories of romance along with the ghostly details turned out to be the perfect mixture for a fun, easy read! I cannot recommend this book enough if you want romance and Halloween/Autumn vibes!

While the book follows three characters on one night, it is really 3 separate stories. The first one, which follows Onny was absolutely fabulous! I adored the enemies-to-lovers trope, which is honestly unusual for me. However, the romance in that story simply felt right. Onny was an eccentric and spontaneous character, I simply couldn’t get enough of her!

The second story follows Ash, who is a shy and artistic guy, pining after his next door neighbor. While the love story was cute, it was my least favorite out of the three. I didn’t particularly feel the sparks flying between Ash and his love interest, so the story was okay, but not necessarily great.

Finally, the third story follows True, a girl who is unapologetically skeptical about anything supernatural. Her romance was cute, but I really loved her character more than anything else. She relies on evidence and data, but when possibly paranormal events occur, she is stuck between relying on her logical instincts and giving into her curiosity. I certainly felt like True was such a relatable character, which made that story enticing.

Overall, I found the book to be entertaining, and a quick read. It would be perfect for people who enjoy romance, but also for anyone that loves the spooky aesthetics of Halloween!

Terrific Fall read. Curl up with this one in October and start your Halloween celebrations. These three authors have blended their styles to give us stories about three friends - Onny, Ash, True - who are a solid team. "The Coven" got their identity as Onny believes in magic and the mystical happenings in their hometown. She has a spells and recipes book her grandmother gave her before her death and Onny treasures it. Ash is the quiet artist. He observes and absorbs then creates. True is pure scientist; she is skeptical and does not believe in the magic or legends.
The story is set just prior to and on Halloween. Onny creates a love potion for the three of them using her grandmother's recipe. Each of the three goes in with preconceived ideas that will be challenged as the story unfolds. The main goal is to find their soulmate by the end of the Halloween gala thrown by Ommy's parents. No spoilers but each has to look inside themselves and see who they are and want to be before finding their people.
A light, slightly spooky read.

The first thing that stood out to me about this book was the authors. Roshani Chokshi is one of my instant buy authors. Her stories and her lyrical prose always make me fall in love with her writing. As soon as I saw her name I knew I had to read this book and it did not disappoint!

This story takes place all in one night and follows 3 different characters. We have so many of my favorite tropes which made it a really enjoyable read. We follow 3 friends Onny, Ash & True on a journey to find their true love. The book is divided into 3 parts where we see each story unfold but they connect as well.

My favorite was Onny’s story, which was academic rivals to lovers. Overall I had a really fun time and would recommend this book to everyone look for a witchy and magical story about finding love.
