I’m hooked on this series and this latest, the fourth is no exception. I loved it and the twist right at the end.
I highly recommend this book and everyone in the series. Honestly you’ll love them.

For some reason this book feels a bit different from the previous ones and I’m not sure why. It does have a good mystery and surprised me with the ending, It was a quick read for me.

Until I started reading this, I did not realize that this was a continuation of a series. However, I did enjoy reading about Mercy and her dog solving crimes. Mercy's grandmother is getting married but a series of murders puts the wedding and its activities on hold. A good book to read on a rainy day. I only wished that I had read the previous books first.

A wedding, a few murders, and mayhem ensues in this latest adventure of Mercy & Elvis with their BFFs Troy & Susie Bear. This is the 4th book in the series and I still cannot get enough of these characters and all the smart and adorable animals. Familiar characters from the first 3 books show up at one point or another here and some wonderful new characters are introduced. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading the books in order to better enjoy the evolving relationships of all the characters. And also, the first three books are really good reads too.

Mercy’s mother is planning a destination wedding for Patience but as usual for the folks in this town, nothing goes as planned. And when Mercy & Elvis gets on the scene there surely will be a dead body or two to be discovered and a few mysteries that need solving. Lots of twist and turns to untangle some of those mysteries but the outcome was satisfying.

Also, in this latest outing, we see how Mercy’s relationships with both Elvis and Troy have evolved since last we saw them. Their bond of love and trust is so much stronger. And the ending was definitely what I needed it to be.

This by far is one of my favorite book in this series and here’s to hoping that Ms. Munier continues to write more adventures for this awesome cast of characters & animals.

Thanks St. Martin’s via NetGalley for this ARC.
This book releases July 19th, 2022.

Mercy, Elvis, Troy and Susie Bear are on their next case together while looking for the spa director where Mercy’s grandmother is getting married. Love this series and the relationships. Two murders happen while Mercy is trying to prepare to be in her grandmother’s wedding. The past comes back into play and there is a wedding at the end.

It's a My Big Fat Greek Weeding meets Turner and Hooch. It's always a pleasure to dive into a Mercy Carr mystery. Correction, a Mercy Carr & Elvis mystery.
Nicely done, and with a big surprise finale that should have repercussions for the future of the series.

Maybe because I missed reading the first three books in this series, I found The Wedding Plot confusing and way more complicated than it needed to be. Also there were too many characters and it was difficult to keep track of who was related to whom. Entertaining to a point but maybe I need to read the others to fully appreciate the book

Patience is getting married and the whole family is in town for the festivities. When Bodhi goes missing, graces asks Mercy to find him, since he’s in charge of the spa at the wedding venue. Between trying to keep things calm with the wedding and finding Bodhi, Mercy and Troy have a lot of work to do if they want to solve a murder and get the bride and groom married and set them off into the sunset.

What a fun book…I really enjoyed the characters and story line. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

Mercy Carr and Elvis, along with Troy Warner and Susie Bear, find much more than they expect at her grandmother's wedding. Her grandmother is finally planning to marry her longtime inamorato, and Mercy's mother is organizing the event like a drill sergeant. When the resort's yoga instructor goes missing, she drafts Mercy to replace him. Mercy doesn't plan to find trouble, but it always seems to land in her lap, especially when she decides to search for the missing yogi.

The Wedding Plot by Paula Munier (Mercy Carr #4) 5 stars

Mercy's grandmother Patience is marrying her long time friend, Claude and the venue is the Lady's Slipper Inn. This is family affair; Mercy's mom Grace is arranging the wedding and her Aunt Pru manages the 5-star Inn for billionaire Daniel Feinberg. Unfortunately, the Spa Director, Bodhi St. George is missing. Grace wants Mercy to find Bodhi because the Spa is part of the wedding festivities. After finding a dead body on the farm where Bodhi's rents a cabin, Mercy is determined to find out who Bodhi is and what happened to him. In addition, the future in-laws start arriving and things get tense. Long hidden resentments and unsavory pasts are being revealed in what should be a happy venue. Mercy will have be at her best to solve the mystery and keep the wedding intact.

This is the fourth book in this series and we see a lot of familiar faces and some new ones. Game Warden, Troy Warner is on hand to support Mercy - investigation and wedding. Their relationship is beautiful to read about. And last but not least, we get Elvis and Susie Bear, the two wonderful dogs that would have plenty to say (if only Mercy spoke dog). The mystery was intricate and absorbing. I really liked the ending and I learned something new about goat cheese. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martins Press / Minotaur Books for this ARC.

This book was a quick read quick read with quirky characters. The author has woven a story about weddings...people getting married...all ages...at first, a little difficult to keep characters in order...who did what? Where is the missing character/person? This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review electronically.

I thoroughly enjoyed the latest in this series, which remains a little darker and a lot more thoughtful than most mystery series. As always, Mercy and Elvis find themselves in the middle of the action and won’t leave things alone until all questions are answered, despite the distractions of grandmother Patience’s pending wedding.

As with earlier entries, the family relationships are captured with great nuance and verisimilitude, while the relationship between Mercy and Troy continues to grow and deepen in ways longtime fans of the series should thoroughly enjoy. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
