Love this book, hard to put down after the first couple pages! I’m typically a reader that doesn’t get attached to a book if the first couple chapters are boring!

Bree leaves behind her troubled past & tragedy to start her life over in a new town. She soon comes across Ryker the local playboy, who seems determined to make her life hell. However, Bree's troubles really seem to amplify as soon as she buys her dream house.

If you are a fan of enemies to lovers romance this book is for you. The author does a great job at blurring the lines and keeping you guessing as to who the 'main' antagonist is, but she leaves enough breadcrumbs for you to work it out. Some great twists & turns, but there were a few plot holes. I wasn't a fan of how badly Ryker treated Bree, but overall I enjoyed the book, it was entertaining and kept my interest throughout.

A gripping mystery/romance novel that started off a little slow for me but once it picked up it was a page turner.

Bree, is trying to leave her past behind and start fresh. She is not sure where she wants to settle down until she comes upon a quaint town. Here, she falls in love with a beautiful home. Decides on it, and purchases it.
Little does she know, the handsome handyman, Ryker has been wanting this dream home for himself.

Once she is in the home, she gets disturbing messages on her photography website about being watched.
At first, she dismisses the messages, until it starts to hit closer to home.

Who can she trust? Sam and Ryker, the handymen working on her home and on her heart?
Is it someone in the past? But who?

As the clues build up so does the tension!

Thank you Netgalley for making this read possible!

All in all a great read!

In the Shadow of the Black Moon was a thrilling read. I loved everything about it.

Our main characters Ryker and Bree's chemistry could be felt through the pages. Ryker being the " no strings attached ladies man, ' against Bree's headstrong independent woman mindset, definitely made for some serious clashes.

I loved their little back and forth with each other, it was hilarious.
However, I couldn't make up my mind about Ryker, especially when he seemed like the prime suspect, concerning Bree's stalker case. Like Bree, I couldn't help but fall for him even though he might of been dangerous.

The coastal setting for this novel was to die for. I had to research what a widow's walk was, and now I think I need one at my home.

I always pride myself in knowing who the bad guy was, but boy was I wrong. This novel had so many twists and turns that I was giddy with excitement. I loved all the characters, they all tied in beautifully with the plot.

The ending was unexpected, but pure satisfaction. I was smiling straight through the last page. Me lingering over two characters even after I finished the book, now you know it had to be good.
Anyone who likes a good suspenceful thriller with a good chunk of romance, this is the book for you.

A huge thanks to Melissa Roos and Netgalley for this gem, in exchange for my honest review. As always, my thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thoroughly enjoyed this mystery/romance. The characters were engaging, and the chemistry between Ryker and Bree believable and well done. The descriptions of the scenery make me want to take a trip. Very well done.

This book has kept me up all night wondering what will happen next. Love the plot and even more the characters. Through every page I felt as if I was the one being present and watching the sunrises and sunsets along with Bree and Ryker. The author has such amazing scenery descriptive skills! When Bree blushed by the very romantic encounters with Ryker, I blushed too. On the other side this book has kept me on my toes trying to find out who the dangerous revengeful character is. If you love a good mystery and you’re a bit of a hopeless romantic like me, this is the book for you!

If you'd love to read about a girl punching a guy because she thinks he's gonna hurt her, to him falling in love with her, grab this hook right now!.

I was in the look for books that would grip my attention from the very start and make it impossible to stop reading and "In the Shadow of the Black Moon" did just that. The authors writing really captured me and made the book an easy but interesting read, and saved me from a reading slump.

One of my favorite things in books is when romance isn't the main plot, but we still get cute little moments and character development, so I was very glad to have a gripping mystery, an amazing setting and a well developed and slow romance.

Now let's talk about the plot twists: I adored them! I wasn't expecting half of it and it just made me love the book even more.

Everything from the characters, setting, plot, made me really enjoy the book and left me wanting to read more by the author.
