Very useful, practical, and timely guide. Thanks to the FAQ structure it is very easy to navigate. It should be a required read for anyone doing business online – and these days that means almost anyone doing any business. I was very satisfied that there is so much space devoted to copyright and potential infringements. Recommended!

Thanks to the publisher, Skyhorse Publishing, Allworth, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

Coincidentally, I'm a law student and I've always been curious about how the law interacts with social media; I'm taking an Intellectual Property Law paper because of it! So, it was without a doubt that I would love this book!

The issue with the law is that it doesn't develop quickly enough to keep up with how fast social media and technology changes and adapts. So, this book sort of tries to bridge that gap. It deals with how the law interacts with social media and the internet. It is technical but everything is simplified and explained throughly (which is great since the target audience are people who may not be familiar with the law). It is also, very detailed since a lot of topics are covered.

My favourite thing about this book is that it explains the FTC Guidelines! I remember when the Guidelines first came into force social media was alight while trying to figure it out. So, I can safely say that the explanation of these Guidelines will be welcome.

Some case law dealing with Louis Vuitton specifically caught my attention as well (maybe I'm just being an over-achiever right now but I'm curious enough to look into those cases for my Intellectual Property class).

While I was reading the e-book I did come across a spelling error: in the beginning of Chapter 2 (page 77) a name has been misspelled. It should be "Gigi Hadid" not "Gigi Habib".

Overall, it's extremely useful for influencers and anyone who has a job in social media or blogging or deals with the internet in general. It explains the law, issues that people might have to deal with and advice on how to solve those issues. It's helpful, convenient and well-explained and I am now going to try and get my hands on a physical copy of this book.

(Note: that the information in this book is specific to American law).
