I have mixed feelings about this title. On one hand, it was a "can't put it down" kind of read. I read it in one day and honestly may have read it in one sitting if I hadn't had other obligations. On the other hand, I felt somewhat dissatisfied with the book's conclusion. Some of it felt unbelievable while other parts left me with unanswered questions. When I read this genre, I expect my questions to all be answered by the end.

Marisa Stockton is an identical twin, or she was...until 14 years ago when her sister Clare was murdered. The unsolved homicide haunts Marisa, forcing her into substance abuse and continuing to draw her toward the. riverbank where her sister's body was found. A now successful photographer, Marisa is surrounded by a strange cast of characters -- her other sister, Brit, Brit's new boyfriend David, and 3 friends from her past who were all somehow tied to Clare.

Marisa, finally sober, realizes the detective assigned to Clare's case will soon be retiring. With her finally clear mind, she delves back into the mystery of Clare's murder in hopes of helping to solve it. before it becomes a true cold case. In doing so, she unknowingly endangers herself and will learn things about people she thought she knew.

In general, I would recommend this book with the caveat that its ending is slightly frustrating. Overall, though, it was a compelling read that kept my attention.

This was a really interesting mystery spanning 14 years and a number of people, all connected with Claire, one identical twin who was murdered on NYE at age 16. We follow her twin Marisa and a handful of others as we learn what truly happened and more. Great characters and interesting twists. This was an enjoyable read.

Twins Marisa and Claire were 16 when Clare's body was found in the river. 14 Years later, Marisa uses her career and friends to cope but still struggles with the unresolved case. A recent car crash has caused Marisa to lose the memories of 10 days, making things more of a struggle. Can Marisa remember everything to solve the cases? A thrilling read. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return got my honest feedback.

The loss of a sibling is a terrible burden to bear, but when that sibling is a twin, the pain is even more intense. Clare Stockton was murdered when she was 16 and no one was ever charged for the crime. Years later, her twin, Marissa is still struggling with the brutal death of her sister, and the fact that no one has ever been brought to justice for the crime. Now, a nasty head injury from a car accident has left Marissa with gaps in her memory totaling a terrifying ten days. Her phone disappeared at the same time, along with every call, text or photo from those ten days. As Marissa hunts for answers, she begins to believe the two biggest traumas in her life – her missing memory and her sister’s unsolved death may be connected. A twisty treat
