This book was truly amazing. To learn more about the practice of Yoga while also learning more about body positivity and inclusivity was so cool. I’ve never read a book about the practice that I felt was speaking to me; right down to the pictures of people with bodies like mine!

Although this is written for yoga teachers, I'm not but I enjoyed it and learnt from it. It has plenty of suggestions to make yoga easier for everybody.
It is well written and really made me think more about the way we see other human beings, as well as practising yoga!
I have also found the ideal yoga site online.

I didn’t take a close enough look at this book. before requesting it. Therefore, I didn’t realize the book was for yoga trainers, as opposed to having lots of body positive moves. Still, I was very impressed with how this book was written. The tips that are offered can actually work in many different environments, and the world would be a much better place if they were used by everyone.

A great book for any fan of yoga as it really does give you the confidence to do yoga no matter what shape or size you are. It really does break down barriers and modifying yoga to suit everyone.

I love that it is practice and positive, useful and easy and best of all it doesn't discriminate! A book for every yoga wanna-be (like me!).

"Every body is a yoga body"

I am so thrilled to be seeing representation of bigger bodied persons in yoga practices. As someone with a midsize (size 10-12) body I sometimes find myself frustrated when practicing yoga. My body feels like it's in the way. I watch the instructor on the video able to move and fold their body in ways that mine simply cannot. This book is incredibly empowering and validating. The author is highly aware of the importance of language. She writes an all encompassing guide to using appropriate non gendered, decolonized, and anti stigmatic language. It sets a great standard for adaptivity and inclusivity within the practice. "Teaching Body Positive Yoga" is an important, well rounded resource that should be read by all who teach yoga. I feel it is an integral read for instructors wanting to diversify their teaching and create a safe space for practicing yoga.

This is a thoughtful, encouraging, and thorough book written to yoga teachers on how to lead a “body positive” yoga class. From language to props, this author gives so many useful and helpful ideas on how to make “every body” comfortable, welcome and successful to practice yoga.
