I personally love humanity and all it's flaws, and rather than looking down on it, this book helps to make you feel welcome in your own imperfection. The book is beautifully presented. Each devotion starts with a topic, followed by scripture, the devotional content with prayers mingled in and artistically displayed. Simple yet beautifully done.

Very ispiring and refreshing to read. Made me realize how blessed we all are even if we are overwhelmed at times. Time for a new perspective.

A book to show readers that imperfect people were even in the Bible but that through God, we are given grace. We shouldn't strive for perfection but rather strive for a life pleasing to God. Love this devotional and look forward to more from Phillips.

"Give Yourself Some Grace" is a beautiful book. With every page we are reminded that God doesn't expect us to be perfect. He only expects us to be His and to go to Him in times of joy and despair. God gives us Grace so shouldn't we give it to ourselves and others? We serve a very forgiving God. No matter who you are or what you have done, you are still worthy of that love and grace. Look at the people in the bible. Each person in the bible committed terrible sins but God was still there, Jesus still spent time with them and died for them just like He died for you. I highly recommend this book.

Thank you Netgalley for letting me read an ARC of this beautiful book.

I really liked how this devotional was set up. I liked that there was a Bible verse before every devotional and a little prayer after. I thought it was a cute easy devotional to read that was based on scripture. Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for a copy of the arc in return for an honest review.

I knew from the title I would love this book because I am never giving myself enough grace and never forgiving myself like I should. We are our worst enemy and critic sometimes aren’t we? Author Karon Phillips brings to light the lives and faults of people found in the Bible to help us more understand how Christ forgives. We have our struggles but so did some of the people closest to our Lord and if He forgave Peter for his unbelief, Paul for his sins, King David and the list goes on and on, don’t you know he forgives us? Shouldn’t we do the same for ourselves?
If we focus on our faults and not Christ’s love and forgiveness, we will never reach the full goodness of our relationship with Him. Sometimes we teach forgiveness of others so much we lose sight of the fact we need to do the same thing for ourselves. That’s where giving ourselves much needed grace comes in. We all fall short of God’s glory. Isn’t it a blessing to know He understands and forgives us again and again?
I would recommend this book to anyone that is struggling with guilt, shame and just life struggles in general. It’s a great book to keep close at hand for those days we are extra hard on ourselves. We all need to know we aren’t alone.

Full disclosure: all scripture references in this book are from the NLT version of the Bible.

I was given an advanced reader’s copy of this book by NetGalley in return for my honest opinion.

Beautiful book. I like that the scripture and prayers have different font. The prayers for each devotional are my favorite part of the book.

This was really lovely, however all of my pages were sideways or upside down so it was really hard to read. That didn't deter from the message though. Beautiful illustrations and a reminder to be gentle with ourselves.
