This is kind of my first Manga read. I've watched lots of Animes and live adaptations across countries, though.

To begin with, it's a really simple and sweet story, full of all the clichés you'd expect out of teenage romance. Such a quick read, that I finished it in one sitting.

Having said that, it was almost too clichéd and obvious. I have see the same storyline and plot in every other anime(/adaptations) of this genre. Although, that doesn't stop me from enjoying it!

Recommended for beginners in Mangas and teenage romance!

ps: will be waiting for the next part!

This was the cutest story I have read in a long time. Their chemistry is just so adorable and the plot is well written. The illustrations are also so cute. Honestly I can’t wait for this to come out to buy for myself as well as recommended it to my library so we can own a copy. I can’t wait to see how these characters grow and see if there will be obstacles along the way or not.

First want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this in exchange for an honest review! Do you like cute? Do you like fluffy? Do you like Romance? Do you like when a girl REALLY likes a nice and sweet guy after she has been with some douchy guys before? Well this is the book for you.

I honestly enjoyed it even though I am not the biggest fan of this type of manga, especially romance manga. The Female Lead did get on my nerves a bit but I understood where she was coming from and the fact that Male Lead is such a freaking sweetie just made me feel warm inside. Do I want to read the second volume? HELL YES. I want to see where this relationship goes and the hurdles they have to go through.

Also the graphics are nice as well, so bonus!

Fresh off a breakup with her cheating ex, Sawa is suddenly confessed to by her classmate Sakura. She doesn't remember ever speaking to him and it catches her off guard. Yet, Sakura takes her rejection as a challenge and puts his heart into convincing Sawa of his feelings and soon enough the two are going steady with all its trials and tribulations.

This one moves fast but I felt a bit indifferent to it. The art is lovely and Sakura's a good guy despite how pushy the premise sounds on paper! Yet, I found both he and Sawa felt a little one-dimensional and lacking in personalities beyond the book's central romance. Hopefully, as this is part of a series, there is room for growth there for those willing to stick with it.

I chose to read Sakura's Dedication as the title page looked fun, sweet and I wanted something with a simple plot to follow. Based on my expectations, Sakura's Dedication did not disappoint! As a whole, the manga was incredibly wholesome and cute. Showing the shyness and intensity of young love alongside having a simple charm.

Sakura is an incredibly loveable character, initially rejected for not being Hanasaki's 'type' he persists to confess his love for her and constantly just sprouts affectionate comments to Hanasaki throughout. On the other hand, I also love the characterisation of Hanasaki, as I can relate to her as she constantly struggles to handle Sakura's compliments and had to adapt to the idea that there is another person who can like her so completely, and has to figure out how to express that like in return.

The end of the volume itself does not promise anything or leave a cliffhanger, and yet I am so excited to get my hands on the next volume as this tender story is something I want to follow through and see how the characters progress as they get to know each other better.

Gosh, this is adorable. This is full of sweet shoji tropes and I loved how sweet it all is. I was a little worried about what kind of aggression/dedication Sakura would show, but really he's very sweet and works to respect Sawa's boundaries. It was also adorable how flustered she gets anytime he mentions how adorable he finds her or talks about liking her, especially as over the course of the volume she starts pushing herself to be more open about her own affectionate feelings. All around this is just a cute little story, and I can't wait to see more of Sakura and Sawa.

I received this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

I liked Sakura's Dedication Vol 1.

Popular girl dates popular jock who is a jerk then goes for the quiet book loving boy who isn't her type. This volume was cute. While it was slow that is to be expected since it is only volume one.

I liked the characters and the fluff. Sakura jumps right into wanting to be with Sawa, and is incredibly persistent at trying to get with her as she keeps turning him down. Sakura does continuously tell her his feelings towards her and is both equally charming and a bit creepy, if a tiny bit obsessive.

They get together really quickly, and it starts off fast so the beginning feels a bit forced. Yet as the story progresses it flows and gets really cute.

The art is very typical and done wonderfully. If you love romance manga set in a school setting, check this one out!!

This first volume was felt too short. I didn't feel there was chemistry between the main characters, but it gets better towards the end, though I feel like I need to spend more time with the characters to know if I like them or not. What leaves me on the fence is ~~ <spoiler> how pushy Sakura can be and how hesitant Hanasaki is. It doesn't seem healthy and leaves me wondering if they are a good fit together. </spoiler> While reading the relationship felt there was pressure to make it work and a little forced.

I think I will need to read the next few volumes to see if I would invest into the series.

Sakura' Dedication (vol. 1) is about Sawa who just broke up with her boyfriend because he had been cheating on her. She's thinks she won't ever find a good guy for her until Sakura overhears her talking about her ex and confesses his love to her. While she's hesitant at first eventually they start their relationship.

This was so cute!! I loved their relationship alot and how patient Sakura was. He never pressured her into anything and truly just cared for her. Sawa has a lot of doubts in the beginning and is hesitant to show affection and Sakura doesn't pressure her into anything. This was a really adorable 1st volume!! Would recommend

This was a pretty good story. The cute popular girl who has dated some jerks goes for a persistent, bookish boy who is not normally her type. I didn't feel like the main character had much character development other than trying to get over past insecurities because her whole personality was based around keeping her boyfriend interested. It wasn't my favorite, but it was enjoyable and I will probably read the next volume.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha for letting me read this ARC!

This manga was a little hard for me to follow. The characters seem a little shallow and don't have too much depth. Perhaps they will be expanded upon later on in the series, but for the first volume they lack what they need to make them likable and enjoyable as main characters. The female lead is a little boring and doesn't have much that stands out about her. The only thing about the boy is that he is a persistent lead. He doesn't give up on the main girl.

The other part that is hard to follow is that the relationship happens so quickly it is impossible to follow anyone's feelings. You don't really see any development truly happen between them and you aren't able to grasp how they could get together so quickly. I don't like when manga happens to slow and it takes too many volumes to get together, but I don't really like getting together after one chapter.

I think this manga has potential, but if anyone is like me and wants more substance, I don't think this is a good title for you.

I was kind of surprised how fast Hanasaki accepted Sakura, since the whole blurb seems to be about how he pursues her and she rejects him. But it was really cute so I'm not mad about it

This first volume is so cute and lovely! I liked the drawings very much; it is a story that can be read in an afternoon,
Simple but excellent for spending some time in peace.
I'm truly looking forward for the next volume!

This manga has completely conquered me!
The male lead is practically every woman's dream !!!
Sweet, tender, he cover you with compliments and thinks about you practically all the time, but without getting clingy.
It is certainly impossible for such a person to exist, but I don't care, let me dream a little!
The protagonist fall in love a little too quickly, but that was quite understandable ... even if he, at first, gave a bit of a stalker vibe! But luckily he immediately took the right direction and now I would like very, very much for it to be published in Italian!

This is literally one of the cutest things I’ve ever read. The story progressed very nicely and the characters are so freaking cute. I was smiling to myself while reading. I cannot wait until the next one.

This adorable shoujo was one of the cutest romances I've read all year. After breaking up with her ex for cheating on her, Sawa is suddenly confessed to by her classmate Sakura. He's really not her type at all, but she finds herself falling for him hard and fast.

Sawa and Sakura are both adorably shy, and I loved seeing their relationship grow! If you're interested in a romance in a high school setting, I cannot recommend this enough. It was just super cute, I loved how forward Sakura was while still having his cute moments, and seeing Sawa struggle with learning to accept affection based on her bad experiences was really nice to see.

Review to come at the end of April on my blog/goodreads.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I was definitely in the mood for a shoujo manga and this one sounded really fun! In the end, still quite fun, but not a favourite.

But given that the manga is called Sakura's Dedication and the first chapter was all about him wooing her... I had expected more wooing. Maybe up to chapter 3? Don't make it the whole volume as that may get old, but I think it would have been a better transition if it took just a bit longer. Especially given her feelings and how she was so strongly against it. It was just way too fast in my eyes. From NO to OK fine, let's date.

I also just didn't feel any chemistry between the two, that also didn't help for me. Sakura is pretty robotic, at times we see a bit of emotion here and there, but for most he just seems to go through the motions of liking/loving someone and that just was a shame. I do hope that as the story goes on he warms up and becomes a bit more emotional. This is also why I loved loved the 4koma at the end because we could clearly see he was affected and see him all sparkly, which is a real change of some small smiles and stiffness. I think if we had seen those emotions in the manga... I would have liked him just a bit more.

Also, while I could relate to several of Sawa's things (I still remember how I was at the start of the relationship with my now-husband), at times it just got too much. Plus, given how robotic he seemed, she was all emotions, and it just felt like done on purpose/way too scripted. And that is a shame.

I still think that these two could find that spark! I mean I can see why they are attracted to each other and the dates were pretty cute, but I just hope that the two of them become more natural and Sakura a tad more feeling/having more emotions.

I so wanted to kick Sawa's ex a few times, what a little dickweed that dude is. Bleh. Cannot imagine why she was with him.

The art however was just so pretty and I especially enjoyed Sawa's expressions!

All in all, I am still interested in reading the rest of the series. Again, I want to see them to get closer and see that spark appear!

While I think this has potential to be a cute story later down the line, I didn’t love the start. The aquarium scene was by far my favorite and probably the most redeeming thing about this. The dialogue doesn’t feel natural and makes some of the characters seem weird, which makes it hard to tell what the relationship dynamic is.

Okay this manga was really cute, I feel like the dialog really struggled in the beginning but after a few chapters we got in the swing and the characters started to feel more natural! I really enjoyed the artwork and I feel like the story will definitely progress more and more in future volumes. Overall this was a strong start and I can’t wait to see how the story evolves

AAAAA!! YOUNG LOVE!! CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!

This manga was such a cutie! It has the typical shoujo-thing going on with all the shyness, blushing, and plain adorableness. The art is very pretty and the characters are really cute. The plot is pretty simple and is not new in shoujo mangas but it is still an enjoyable read. The way they started dating was also a bit too fast for me. There are not many conflicts, only little things you typically explore in a new relationship. Sakura was so smoothly straightforward about his feelings which made me grin so much. He says something downright sweet so easily and I feel like there's an arrow shot straight through my heart. Lol. And when he's the one who gets shy? Oh, my word! I get why the title is Sakura's Dedication because he's really really so dedicated to Sawa. They were just so cute together!! I think this manga is just all about softness and fluff! ❤️

Big thanks to Netgalley, the mangaka, Fuyu Yukimiya, and publisher, Kodansha Comics for a copy of this book!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Steam Level: It's all just fluff in here!! ❤️
