Thank you to NetGalley for this audiobook.
The narrator was great and kept the narrative flowing. The reading was clear and engaging. I enjoyed how the narrator voiced the different characters when they spoke and spoke differently for the general narration.
The story itself was very well written and slightly terrifying.

🤔💭: This was my very first audiobook and I’ll have to say, I wasn’t disappointed. I don’t remember reading this one in school so I definitely wanted to check it out. This book was definitely intriguing but also terrifying at the same time. 😮 1984 is a dystopian piece and centers around the dangers of a totalitarian government and a society that’s under total control. Orwell paints this picture where a government monitors and controls every aspect of human life where even having a disloyal thought is considered a crime. Many themes are present throughout which include psychological manipulation, physical control, control of information and history, technology, language and mind control, loyalty, resistance and revolution, and independence and identity.

✅: I would definitely recommend checking this one out if you’ve never read before and are into the dystopian genre. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for providing me this audiobook and I am voluntarily leaving my review! 👍🏼

I read this ages ago in school, and I'm so happy there's a new release coming out! Orwellian novels are some of my favorites, and I owe it all to this guy. As a side note, I also love this new pink cover! 1984 will always be a classic, and so regardless of any personal opinions people might hold, I don't see this re-release doing poorly.

Great classic story and author, but the Narrator was a bit of a disappointment for me. Some parts of his narration was off for me.

Orwell remains salient, poignant, and eerily prophetic in this enduring piece. From telescreens, to Big Brother, and the Thought Police, Orwell tells of a world of a time when The Party controls all segments of society.

I wonder if participation in the 2-minute hate would be cathartic
