Jo and Jenner don’t mess around, wasting time getting what they want. When they meet in a bar in Las Vegas during March Madness week, it takes only 15 minutes for them to hook up in Jenner’s hotel room. But neither of them is looking for anything serious or long term, so a Vegas fling sounds perfect - which they get…spending as much of their spare time with each other during their week of vacation as possible. But when they go their separate ways, living on opposite coasts, her about ready to finish college, him well established in his law career, they both find themselves unable to forget about each other. They find ways to connect, a non-relationship long distance relationship. Neither one willing to admit to it being anything more than physical. But when a big secret comes out, both of them are thrown off kilter, big time.
One of the great things about this book is that the spice starts early, and just keeps coming, but it doesn’t feel gratuitous. This is their relationship in the beginning. It’s hot and heavy, intense, and earth shattering. Of course, everyone around them sees that there is more going on, even if they won’t admit to it, but they also can’t seem to stop finding ways to see each other or talk or text each other. The age gap aspect is addressed mainly in the context of them being at different places in their lives, and basically gives them another excuse to not admit to anything deeper than their physical relationship. But when that bomb drops, it forces them to confront what they mean to each other.
I really loved the evolution of their relationship and how they handled the logistics of their trysts and still managed to keep things mostly physical, and then when really forced to confront their feelings, make the tough choices. They obviously have off the charts chemistry, and the more they get to know each other the better matched they realize they are for each other. It’s not an easy or clean path to their HEA, but it felt genuine, which made it that much more enjoyable. And, the epilogue - not what I would have expected, and I actually really loved it. It added an unexpected twist to their whole story, and was a unique way to close their love story.

Blurb:
I’ve always been a good girl.
But the second I walk into the hotel bar, I see temptation.
The man sitting there is delicious. Older. Experienced. Once our eyes meet, I know I’m not walking away unscathed. I’ve heard about men like Jenner Dalton—richer than God and hotter than sin. He’s got heartbreak written all over him.
But it only takes fifteen minutes before we’re headed up to his room.
I’ve never done anything like this before, but something tells me he’s worth it. Every swipe of his tongue feels electric, every kiss sets me on fire, and his experience has me begging for more.
And more.
And more.
In one week, I’ll return to college in Miami.
He’ll go back to being LA’s most eligible billionaire.
The miles and years between us are just too many for this to mean anything.
So, between now and then, I plan to spend every moment being anything but good …

Book/series title & cover:
"The Billionaire" is book two in the Dalton Brothers series by Marni Mann. The volumes are self-contained, each with different protagonists, but build on one another, so reading in the correct order is recommended.
====================
Characters & Plot:
Joanna (Jo) studies in Miami and is what you would call the "lovely nice girl from next door".
Jenner is a successful billionaire and lawyer. He's a womanizer and perfectly content with his life the way it is.
Jo and Jenner meet at a sports bar in Las Vegas. There is a strong spark between the two and they spend an indescribable night together. The start of a wonderful relationship, you'd think, well, if Jenner wasn't Jo's dad's attorney ...
====================
Writing style:
"The Billionaire" is told alternately from the first person perspective by Joanna and Jenner. The writing style is smooth, easy going and humorous.

My conclusion:
I'm an absolute audio book junkie, I like millionaire & billionaire romances and books with explicit scenes 😉 - and "The Billionaire" offers all this.
The author Marni Mann has created a great protagonist in Jo, who I really liked with her lightness, not to be mistaken with a lack of naivety. Yes, she was certainly born and raised with the golden spoon, but she is down to earth, knows that there are other things than power and money that make life worth living, and lives accordingly. I also fell in love with Jenner right from the start. I liked his direct manner and his loyalty. Both are authentic, as is the story itself. The chemistry between Jo and Jenner is unmistakable and hooked me straight away, which Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige certainly helped with as well. Both did a very good job as narrators of the audiobook: they carried me away and were very easy to understand even for me, as a non-native speaker of English.
My conclusion: If you like sexy and hot romances, this is a good book for you. A clear recommendation from me!
5 von 5 ★★★★★

Marni brings the heat! Her writing is some of the best I’ve ever read. It’s entrancing and with the best plot it makes it all the better. I highly recommend this series it’s the spiciest I’ve ever read and I can’t get enough

Unfortunately this book just was not for me. It seemed like this book was just nothing but sex with very little actual plot. I don't mind sex scenes in books but I like for there to be a plot to move the story forward as well and that just wasn't present in this story.
Jo and Jenner definitely had a physical connection but beyond that, there didn't seem to be much there so I didn't really invest in either one of them and I lost interest after a while.
I also did not really care for the narrators. It seemed at times like they were trying too hard to sound sexy and it actually came across the opposite.

A hot steamy age gap billionaire story! Marni Mann delivers a knock out sexy story with this one. Nothing twisty or unusual in the plot, just an all around decent book. I didn't care of the narrator so that was a little off-putting but the story itself was good.

Holy smokes! My ears were on fire with the amount of heat from this audiobook. Tim Page and Kelsey Navarro had me feeling like a voyeur. I was transfixed with their performance of Jenner and Jo. They brought Marni Mann’s story to life and set my world ablaze. The whole performance was straight fire and I am surprised with the amount of heat this audiobook provided things we able to stay wet 😉 Not only did this story have steam it definitely didn’t lack other feelings. It is an overall enjoyable book! Listen to this now!

The Billionaire is an age gap romance between a very wealthy man and an almost college graduate. Jenner is one of the Dalton brothers, and if you've read the previous book you know these Dalton brothers are more the "sex em up and leave them type". They don't commit but are too busy with their success. But when Jenner and Jo cross paths in Vegas, things for Jenner change. Their banter is hot and they are so evenly matched with sex, wit and humor.
Jenner is in California and Jo is in Miami. That week in Vegas only sparked their flames and they both definitely needed more. It's fun to watch a man that isn't one for commitment long for a woman that is younger and that lives in a different state. I liked watching Jenner battle his feelings and the way his brothers hounded him for it. I also enjoyed Jo and her girlfriends. Especially her BFF. It's nice to have someone in your corner no matter what.
There was a little twist of course. . I just knew that they were going to make a good team.

Story: 4 ⭐️
Steam: 5 🔥 heavy smut

This is my second read from this author and I love how there has smut right out the gate! The instant chemistry between the characters was amazing. Although I enjoyed the story as a whole, there were parts I didn’t love. For example, for the first half of the book the plot was basically just about them navigating a long distance not-relationship. Which is fine but a little boring. Also, I didn’t like that the epilogue was from the dad’s perspective, I would have rather it been wrapping their story up.
Overall it was a good read if you want a fun story with lots of steam!

Jo and Jenner are EXPLOSIVE in The Billionaire. The heat is off the charts, chemistry and banter are unparalleled. Forbidden romance to its core, The Billionaire is one you do not want to miss! I ended up loving thus book so so much!!

The billionaire delivers a sexy, steamy age gap—heavy on the steam, light on the storyline. Jenner is a driven attorney, but he's also a wealthy playboy. He is never one for a relationship as he's married to his job, that is, until he meets Jo during a business trip. Jenner is captivated not just by Jo's beauty but her sexy brain. Quick and smart, she not only keeps his attention but carries on a witty banter-filled conversation that has them moving from the bar to the bedroom.
Wasting no time, they hit the sheets and turn up the heat, and there is certainly a lot of heat and wrinkled sheets between them, but I never felt the chemistry between them, lust, absolutely, but not chemistry.
Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige perform the narration. Kelsey is a perfect fit playing a twenty-two-year-old college graduate, Jo. Her voice delivers the emotions Jo goes through and, at times, the immaturity of a young woman finding her way. Unfortunately, I still feel Tim Paige is not the correct voice to narrate these dominant billionaire men. There are moments where his inflection makes him sound whiny.

This age gap romance had so much that I love about romance. I am 10 years younger than my husband so these types of stories really speak to me. The chemistry between these two is insanely hot! I love how Jenner never looks at Jo as too young, but admires her for who she is. The brotherly love between the Daltons is awesome. I love watching those three interact with one another. This story gave me all of the feels and had me falling so hard for Jenner. I love how Ms. Mann puts in twists that you don't see coming! Great read!
The narrators did a great job bringing this story to life and delivering on the heat! Loved it!

The Billionaire is a steamy, age gap, forbidden romance. Jenner and Jo start out as a hot Vegas fling but quickly turns into more when Jo finds herself working for her father who is also one of Jenner’s most wealthiest clients. Before going to work for her father Jo is a college student, and Jenner is well into his career. They live no where near each other, and they seem to be at different points in their lives. The chemistry and attraction is sizzling hot and they cannot stay away from the other. Jo's was mature for her age. Jenner is confident and his dirty talk game was strong. They worked so well together, I barely noticed the age gap. Not only are Jo and Jenner compatible in the bedroom but I also enjoyed their banter, dialogue and a little bit of conflict with a few twists and turns thrown in.
Audiobook narration- Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige ramp up the heat in their narration in this one! They do a fantastic job in those sexy and sensual moments and compliment each other so well.
I am looking forward to the third Dalton brother, Ford to get his HEA in The Single Dad coming in June!

This is the second book in The Dalton Brothers series. This is a series of interconnected stories. Jo and Jenner's forbidden romance and age gap story is sizzling hot. The characters are well developed. The storyline has some interesting twists. Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro did a good job with the narration. I really love Navarro's voice. Looking forward to listening to The Single Dad, Ford's story, the next book in the series. If you like erotic romance, this series is for you.

I really liked the narrators in this book. They both did a great job and kept me listening but the story was very predictable and too graphic for my liking. I had to skim many parts, but if you like the graphic sexual content then you will like this book.

**audiobook review**
This was my first book by Marni Mann but won’t be my last. Book #2 in the Dalton Brothers series will have you hooked until the end. I was pleasantly surprised by Jenner’s character but oh did I love him. Joanna’s character was strong, smart and witty and definitely like-able. Jenner and Jo’s chemistry was off the charts smokin’ hot and intense. They connected from the very beginning and their relationship was full of steam, and had its drama. I highly recommend this series. The narrators did a great job. Really captured the characters.

I’ve read Marni before and loved her books but this one was not for me. The narration was great but the context of the book was just too much to listen to.

Ok friends, so I really liked the first book in this series, but this second installment, The Billionaire, is even more AMAZING! Jenner Dalton is joining my top tier book boyfriends shelf. Is he perfect, or is he perfect!?
Overall The Billionaire is just hot AF. Grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn’t stop listening. Completed all 8 hours 44 minutes over two days. Instant attraction/lust with some spicy twists along the way. Highly recommend reading and/or listening!
This is a series that revolves around the Dalton Brothers. You can read this as a stand-alone or read The Lawyer first. The next book in the series, The Single Dad, is coming this summer and I cannot wait.
Thank you Dreamscape Media & NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook and provide my honest review!

My first taste of a Marni Mann romance, and I see why people are raving. The characters are intriguing and they have good chemistry. The Billionaire has a pretty interesting and solid story, with a few nice curves which I didn't expect. The whole novel flows well from start to finish.
I really, really hope Jo's dad gets a novel of his own ASAP... I'd read the heck out of that man's story!
I enjoyed Tim Paige's performance. He makes a great Jenner, and I'm buying what he's selling 100%.

I did not finish this book. Not the kind of book I would ever read. I was think love story. No it’s a vulgar right from the beginning. I’m not knocking it. I know people read this stuff.

This captivated me from beginning to end. An age gap, billionaire romance with lots of banter, spice and connection to keep me hooked all the way to the brilliant epilogue. There's such kindle melting chemistry between Jenner and Jo that I could barely put this down. I volunteered to listen and review to an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
