This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. The vividly portrayed characters come to life through brilliant dialog and rich descriptions of the surroundings . The plot is intense with numerous twists and turns and several side challenges for our protagonist.. one of the best mystery/thrillers I’ve read in the past year.. can’t wait for another novel by this author..

I wasn’t quite sure about this book at the beginning. The narration and story took a few chapters to really hook me, but overall I did enjoy the story and looked forward to listening.

The title of the book Before He Kills Again was pretty deceiving for me because I did not find myself intrigued as I read on. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay focused on the book. Maybe it was the author’s writing style, but I didn’t have much maintained interest in this book.

I listened to this book through the 46% mark. Unfortunately, I had to DNF. I just did not like the narrator or narration. I tried to speed up the narration which helped a little, but not enough for me to finish this audiobook. I also just could not get into the story or connect with the main character. I'm not sure if this would have been the case with another narrator or if I was physically reading this book. If I see this book available in the library, I may give it another shot.

It took me a while to get into this one. I found it challenging to figure out who was who. I think the main character was referred to by different names which was harder to straighten out. Maybe if I had read a hard copy it would have been different. Once I stuck out the beginning I was hooked into the rest of the story.
This story was a bit intense, and graphic. At times I almost wanted to take a break. It did keep you trying to unravel or predict what happens next. I don’t think I liked any of the female detectives colleagues at all. I was rooting for her throughout in both her personal and professional lives.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for the ALC of this one.
