You may have your suspicions on who the serial killer is, but will you see the reason coming?!?!?!

I'd been eagerly awaiting book 7 after binge reading the first 6 books in this series. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Once again we are drawn into a complex case, full of danger, twists and turns as suspects are eliminated and pieces of the puzzle finally come together.

The book overview gives you a good indication of the mystery that will unfold - Eagle Ridge Summer Camp, a serial killer, a link to an accident 20yrs ago. In addition to serving up a gripping mystery, you get the heart included, the close bond and relationship that Detective Katie Scott has with her team and of course Chad and Cisco, each book, the depth you know the characters grows. This book has an element of letting go of the past and moving forward and the recognition that your family is more than just the one you are born into.

When camp counselor Carolyn Sable’s body is found floating in a lake beside Eagle Ridge Summer Camp, Detective Katie Scott must dig deep to stay focused. As a child, Katie spent many happy weeks at that camp toasting marshmallows on the fire with her best friend Jenny… until the day Jenny disappeared. The loss will always haunt Katie, but Carolyn’s inconsolable family need answers.
I still have goosebumps! Omg......... this book was amazing I flew threw the pages with Olympic speed I was hooked from the very first page.

I’d like to thank netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. I didn’t start reading this series until book 6 and couldn’t put it down so I went back to read the first 5 in order. I’ve been waiting for this book and it didn’t disappoint. I enjoy reading the further adventures of Katie, partner McGaven, and her dog, Cisco. Can’t wait for the next one.

Wow book 7 already and I am loving them more and more if that is even possible, because I really think this is one amazing series.

Memories… Everybody has good ones, great ones and of course unfortunately bad or even very bad ones.
A killer takes Katie back to a place where she has spent a lot of happy days, but one big shadow is hanging over them too.

Katie cannot solve the mysteries on her own. She works closely together with her partner Gav and they trust each other completely. There is one other character we may not forget about: K9 Cisco. He and his human Katie have been through a lot together and they have a very strong bond.

I have to admit I do not always understand why Katie makes certain decisions when Cisco is concerned. She wants to keep him safe which I understand totally, but leaving him somewhere on his own, is that not putting him in danger too?

Anyway, I love this series and I loved this book. It was filled with suspense, it was creepy and I loved the bond between human and dog and between partners who have become friends.

Looking forward to read more about these wonderful characters. 5 stars

Thank you

Katie and Gavin are back with a case that has echoes from Katie's past. It kept me guessing right until the end. There is plenty of action, suspense, and tension. I've become so invested in these characters. I was glued to this one and up way past my bedtime. I couldn't put it down.

Silent Little Angels by Jennifer Chase is the seventh book in the Detective Katie Scott series. I've read them all and always look forward to a new book.
Katie is sent to Eagle Ridge Summer Camp where a body is found on the edge of the lake. The investigation reveals the murdered woman was a camp counselor. As more bodies are found, Katie remembers happy times spent at the camp when she was a young girl. One summer years ago her best friend Jenny went missing and the camp was never the same. Now as the investigation progresses Katie discovers even more sad secrets. Soon Katie must avoid becoming a victim of the suspected serial killer before this search ends!

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read this Arc. Detective Katie continues to grow on me and that’s no different in this book, the 7th in the series. I have to admit there were moments where I question her decisions making skills as I have done in previous instances throughout this series.
Katie is haunted by the past in this newest case that takes place at a camp where she spent some great and some heartbreaking time as a child. Someone is killing women who are found to have once been counsellors as the camp, This is an engaging quick read, with some heart pounding moments: Katie, Cisco and McGaven won’t stop till they get their killer.
Hope to see more in this series.

Another fast paced mystery visiting Detective Katie Scott and her K-9 Cisco. This was a good read, not has invested as the others in series but a good catch up for me. I’m not sure what exactly it was lacking. But not as much zip as I like.

All in all though it was still a good read.
