Who doesn't love a good mystery? Thank you NetGalley for introducing me to a new author. This book has several twists and turns that will keep you guessing. I enjoyed this book for the most part, only occasionally getting myself lost in a rabbit hole, which I can attribute to interruptions in my reading time. This required a bit of rereading to get myself back on track. Pay attention to details and this will be an enjoyable read.

Thank you for this advanced copy. I had just finished the previous Casey White book, so was glad I didn't have to wait too long to see how things developed with Tracy. This was another great book with Casey leading the way. It started out looking into what happened to two sisters, and revealed another murder ring based out of the traveling fair. There was some good suspense in this book. I never once considered the culprit! However, I was a little disappointed and sad about the major death toward the end. Such a great character to kill off.

The Lighthouse Girls by B.R. Spangler was not the page-turner I was hoping for, but the premise was interesting.

The book cover stated it was a totally addicting mystery and suspense thriller, but I felt it missed the mark on that description. I couldn't connect with the characters, and the pacing seemed slow to me.

I will check out other books by this author to see if other books will capture my attention.

Detective Casey White knows what it feels like to have a missing child. Her daughter Hannah was snatched from her front garden when she was just a toddler. She spent the best part of twenty years searching and although she now knows what happened to her girl she is the ideal person to deal with the parents of two missing girls.
From the very first page this story had me rapt. The way the investigation develops into the search for a possible serial killer had me breathless with anticipation. This is book 6 in the Casey White series but could be read as a standalone. However, I can strongly recommend this whole series.

B.R. Spangler has put detective Casey White through an emotional wringer in past novels. This one is no exception... But, the author stays true to her main character's toughness, love, and devotion to family and friends. Casey is called into a case that actually starts with Jericho... he finds a body on the beach of a young girl. Once Casey gets there, they start to realize this isn't a "normal" drowning... and then they find out the girl's younger sister is also murdered. When the case starts developing further than their city limits, it's all hands on deck! With fantastic cameos from Nichelle and Emmanuel... the gang is altogether trying to stop a very diabolical murderer. There's another part of the that is especially touching, but for those of you who haven't read the series yet, please start at the beginning as the journey B. R. Spangler takes Casey on through this novels is one you will not easily forget.

This book drew me in from the opening chapters….. When the body of a teenage girl is found abandoned on a beach by a lighthouse in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, Detective Casey White is first on the scene. Breaking the news to the heartbroken parents, Casey is distraught to learn of a second tragedy: the girl’s eight-year-old little sister Shawna is missing too! This book had everything I love… Atmospheric, haunting and superbly plotted. So powerful and poignant... and beautifully written.

I can never be disappointed with this series, every time I pick up a book ,the author has out done herself yet again, like she rising the bar and what it's working, As soon as I was reading it I kept on reading, even when I knew I had to stop because I was getting a headache. As for the story it's written with a compelling storyline and well developed characters, that make them more like able .And I loved how the author used the settings with the lighthouses

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.

I am really enjoying this series which, in my opinion, gets better with each book. I did wonder how this series would progress when the ongoing thread in previous books was resolved and to be honest think the author has come back with a cracker of a book here. This author never disappoints and I thought the story got off to a great start and captured my attention right away. Here Casey and her team investigate a murder and missing girl. The main characters have really developed since the first book and I feel like I know them, and love the little glimpses into their lives outside work. I loved the return of a character who had moved on and had a part in this story with his investigation. I really liked the separate story threads, and think the author has a wonderful way of weaving a story and connects with readers through the characters. I was engaged in this read from start to finish. The book comes together really well and all loose ends were tied up nicely, and the ending was not what I expected. Overall a very engaging read with lots going on and a great addition to this series. Looking forward to the next one. If you like good, solid police procedurals then you will probably like these books and I’d recommend them.

Casey and team are called to the beach where the body of a teenager is found. The younger sister of the victim is missing. All is not as it seems when the death is connected with the deaths of other teenage girls. Is all as it seem, is Casey’s victim related to the other teen girls murders or is something else going on?
Another good instalment in the Detective Casey White series. The dynamics of the team changed in the last book as the team all went in their own directions but found their way back together for this case.
Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read this Arc.

A really enjoyable read. It was well written with a compelling storyline and well developed characters and a god setting - I love books that are set in fairgrounds or have an elemnt fo fairgrounds to them. It was a gripping read that was twisty and unpredictable. I really liked it.

In The Lighthouse Girls we have two sisters that went to a local fair but neither one came home after. Detective Casey White will be called to a case where a young girl has been killed. Soon Casey will find out that there is another girl missing. Where is and what happened to her sister.
Casey will work to unravel this mystery with a shocking end.

This is a nice edition to the series with Casey White and I enjoyed reading it.

A funfair… what’s in a word? Sounds like fun for young and old, right? Well, yes it is. The games, the rides, the food that is oh so bad, but tastes so good,… It’s perfect for a day out for family and friends.

But there is a downside too. A lot of stalls creating a maze and many places for people to hide who are up to no good. There are often a lot of people as well, because the fair only stays for a few days. It’s easy to hide in a crowd. Which role does this funfair play or is it just a coincidence?

That is what is Casey and her very small team are faced with. I was a bit sad to see her perfect team fell apart, but everybody has the right to seek the job they dream about and that was what made me happy. Casey could not agree more, but she misses them thoroughly.

When more victims are being discovered, it’s time to join forces in order to prevent the culprit from killing again.

Maybe I should thank the baddies for bringing the team together if only for a while. 😉

That’s not all though. A few events occur having a very personal impact on her. Sad times, happy times… the circle of life.

Maybe a bit predictable, but still a very enjoyable read. 4 stars

Thank you

This latest addition in the Casey White series was okay. It was definitely NOT as exciting or captivating as the previous book. I kind of had a feeling book 5 was going to be hard to top. That being said, I would still recommend this book and this series. Hoping Book 7 comes back really strong.

Thank you #netgalley and #bookouture for the eARC.

The Lighthouse Girls book 6 in the Detective Casey White series by B.R. Spangler is such a head spinning story.
The flow of the story was continuous and I truly did not want to put this down as it was an addicting read.
Thrilling, gripping, jaw dropping, edge of your seat physiological thriller.
The characters are complex and wonderful. The whole atmosphere of the book was great! I loved every little thing about the book....
Spangler did an amazing job and if you haven't read the Casey White series you need to!

Casey White is one of my favourite new detectives and I love reading about her!

Casey finally has found her daughter, however, a local girl turns up murdered and her little sister is missing! Throw in a traveling carnival fair, a forced adoption and you have a fantastic read!

Highly recommend

I love this series. That being said I just didn’t feel this one. It didn’t have that zip to it. It was an ok story but I found it just didn’t hold onto me. I thought perhaps with the ending it would flip but even that just fell flat. Disappointed but looking forward to the next.
