DANGER, DECEPTION, AND DEPRAVITY!

Patricia Bradley’s Natchez Trace Park Ranger Series is special to me as I live five minutes from the famed Trace. As a native Mississippian, I always enjoy books set in places that I am familiar with. This is Book 4 in the Series and it is my favorite! Bradley has written a masterful mystery full of danger, deception, and depravity. Her main character, Thorn, is a ranger with the Investigative Services Branch. Her Grandfather, a powerful Judge is found shot and ruled a suicide. Madison knows her Grandfather and knows he would never commit suicide. Complicating matters, that same night, a woman who looks exactly like Madison is attacked. As Madison is trying her best to get her Grandfather’s death investigated, she finds herself forced to work with her old childhood enemy who has grown into a disarmingly handsome park ranger, Clayton Bradshaw. The more layers they uncover in this mysterious death, the more danger, deception, and depravity they uncover!

In the final novel of her Natchez Trace Park Rangers series, Patricia Bradley creates an action-filled romantic suspense tale that will keep readers highly invested in the storyline until the very end. Even though I enjoyed the entire series, Deception is my favorite novel in the series with its compelling characters and unpredictable storyline. All four books in the series can easily stand alone without having read the rest of the series.

Law enforcement park rangers Madison Thorn and Clayton Bradshaw find themselves working together while Madison is back in Natchez for a case. Several suspicious occurrences make Madison realize she is in danger. Are the events related to her work or is Madison in extreme danger from another source? Readers won't want to miss the thrilling conclusion to the Natchez Trace Park Rangers series.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

Deception is the thrilling conclusion to this suspense-filled series by Patricia Bradley. Although it is Book #4, it could very well be read as a stand alone.
After shooting a fellow rogue agent in self-defense, Madison, the main character, left her position in the violent crimes division to be a park ranger and fight white collar crimes. She is surprised when she is called back to solve a murder case.
Is it a coincidence when a woman looking much like Madison is shot the same evening Madison's grandfather is shot?
Madison is drawn into her own past history, and the twists and turns this story takes are truly incredible.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read a good suspense or mystery novel.

This book is a thriller from beginning to end. It grabbed me from the first page and held on the whole time. Madison Thorne is a ISB agent with the Forest Service. She has never felt like she really belonged or was loved by anyone except her grandfather. She was adopted at birth. She didn't have a great family life with the exception of her grandfather that she would see each summer until she was twelve when her father wouldn't allow her to go anymore. She worked in the violent crimes department until her 'boyfriend', who was an FBI agent she was working with, turned on her. She now works in the white collar crime unit dealing with thefts and embezzlement. While on a case in Natchez she meets Clayton Bradshaw a fellow Forest Service Ranger. The chemistry between them is immediate but each of them kept it well hidden from the other.
There are so many twists and turns in this book. I loved it. If you are looking for a thrill ride and lots of plot twists this is the book for you!

The lies and deception run long and deep...

The Natchez Trace Park Rangers is one of those series that seems to be getting even better as it goes along. Deception really was quite the story, every time I thought I had everything finally puzzled out Patricia Bradley showed me just how little I really had...and that was just fine with me!

I've always been a sap for decades-old family secrets stories, probably comes from too many Nancy Drew books of that variety when I was a kid, and Deception must be the queen of that particular genre. Patricia Bradley had me coming and going from the very start. There were so many different threads to the fourth Natchez Trace Park Rangers novel that I even wondered a time or two if they would all be sewn up by the end of the book. What does a self-defense killing have to do with a doppleganger, and, for that matter what do both have to do with purchase orders that don't tally with the goods received or the secrets that Madison's father and grandfather are hiding? Just how far will people go to keep their dark secrets hidden? Curious are you?

Deception, and what a perfect title that is for this story, turned out to be even more of a great read than I had anticipated. I've enjoyed each of the Natchez Trace Park Rangers novels that I've read but I think this one is my favorite so far. Patricia Bradley really pulled out the stops with this one and it shows on every romantically suspenseful page.

I honestly don't know if there will be more books in this series but I'm really hoping so...

I loved all of the great suspense, romance and action. I loved Madison and Clayton. I did not want to put this book down. I loved that this story kept me wondering who the real victims were. I love this series but you do not need to read these in order. I received a copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

National Park Service ISB Ranger Madison Thorn shifted her focus to white collar crime after a trafficking investigation turned personal and ended with her killing the man she loved in an act of self defense. That was four years ago and personal vendettas are the last thing on her mind as she returns to Natchez, but things get very personal when she learns that she is fighting for her life in a local hospital. Who is this person who is a dead ringer for Madison, who shot her, and how does she fit in the bigger picture?

NPS Agent Clayton Bradshaw wrote a warning to Madison for speeding on the Natchez Trace in the morning, anonymously paid for her supper that evening, and was called to investigate her attack that night. He remembers her from summers she spent with her grandfather during their childhood and can’t seem to help how familiar he wants to be with her now, except that he can’t treat her the way he has treated women in the past. Oh yes, and they are working together on an investigation, which means she is off-limits.

Patricia Bradley focuses on forgiveness and redemption in Deception, the fourth installment in her Natchez Trace Park Rangers series, and she does it in a powerful way. There are enough red herrings to make a meal and they go together swimmingly to leave the reader completely satisfied.

Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me a copy to read and review. All opinions expressed here are my own and are completely genuine.

Deception has twists within twists! I went back and reread a little and found clues that I had missed, so nothing is "out of the blue." Author Patricia Bradley has written a thrilling, engrossing, excellent work of romantic suspense. The characters all have reasons to feel and act the way that they do, even though some are absolutely mistaken about the truth. The main characters, Madison and Clayton, are very likeable and professional. One of my favorite supporting characters is Nadine, Madison's grandfather's housekeeper. Trust me, you'll love her. I enjoyed reading about the faith of the different characters--some weak and some strong in it. Don't be too assured when you think that you've figured out the villain, because I think you'll be surprised, I highly recommend Deception to readers of mystery and romantic suspense. I would definitely read more of this series and more by author Patricia Bradley.
I received a complimentary copy through NetGalley and am sharing my opinion of this outstanding book.

Wow, this story was chock full of so much suspense from the very beginning. ISB ranger Madison Thorn is now working in the fraud and cybercrimes division. No more violent crimes for her, especially after her former love and FBI partner tried to kill her and she ended up killing him instead. Now she is brought to the area where her grandfather lives, in Natchez, Mississippi.

Things quickly heat up for Madison when she has an unfortunate, or maybe not so unfortunate run in with ranger Clayton Bradshaw. He's interested, even if she is a bit reluctant. However, too many things are happening that are not only eerie, but they are way too close to Madison. Madison is discovering some family secrets she never knew about, and some maybe she never wanted to know. And toss in all the unfamiliar like what happened to her four years ago and the death threats against her grandfather as he is a judge, there is plenty of suspicious characters.

This was a hard one to put down and do real life. The characters jumped off the pages demanding to know how their story ends and the suspense and secrets really had me hooked. Something is unraveling in Natchez and Clayton and Madison must work together to find out what. This is new favorite by author Bradley.

Intense page turner that didn’t let me put it down for a minute! We have two women who look alike, who are both in high risk jobs, and either might be a target. Who’s just tried to kill one in cold blood and shot the grandfather of the other? Clearly one of them has poked the wrong bad dude. Both are in Natchez on a couple different errands, one from Arkansas and the other from Louisiana. Who knew either was coming and wants to get rid of them?

It’s a super complex storyline with a nicely layered plot. Plenty of suspects and possibilities are waiting for solving and a pleasant romance is there for Clay and Madison as well.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free reading copy. A favorable review was not required.

Having had to kill an FBI agent who was also her boyfriend, ranger Madison Thorn is happy to move to the fraud and cyber division. Here she is away from the violence of her previous position. Then the case she’s working on turns violent, and she ends up working alongside an old friend who turned enemy some years ago.

When further murders occur, Madison and Clayton end up racing to find the killer who appears to be targeting Madison. This is a complex story full of twists and suspense, and a fitting closure to the author’s popular Natchez Trace Park Rangers series.

Readers who enjoy Christian Romantic Suspense will love this book. It has it all. Murder and mystery, and an overload of suspense and tension.

I received a free copy with no expectation of a positive or negative review from the publisher. The opinions are my own

Best of the series - romance, fraud, murder, revenge, human trafficking - all rolled into one. I hope there are more to come from this series.

This book is the final book in the Natchez Trace Park Rangers series, and it can be read as a stand-alone book. Madison Thorn was a member of an elite team of special agents. For reasons of her own, she transferred to investigating white collar crimes with the hope that she wouldn't constantly be in danger. Madison is back on the Natchez Trace, and she finds herself working with Clayton Bradshaw on a shooting case. So much for having less stress.
This well written story is populated with a group of well-developed characters amongst which are plenty of suspects. The narrative is suspenseful and filled with twists and turns. The plot is complex and moves very quickly. There is romance and there is even humor in all the right places amongst all the tension. I was totally engrossed in the story right up until the exciting conclusion. Highly recommended

This is a great end to a phenomenal series! I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series. Readers who enjoy romantic suspense novels will love any of the books written by this author. This series is about a group of individuals who work as Natchez Trace Park Rangers. This book focuses on Madison and Clayton. After Madison appears to be targeted, they begin to search the reason behind it. There are so many twists and turns to this story. This story is well written, the storyline progresses smoothly, and there are so many things that was a surprise regarding the plot. I highly recommend this book (and the series) and know you will not be disappointed!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.

Deception is the fourth novel in Patricia Bradley's Natchez Trace Park Rangers series. It was actually the first novel of hers that I've read but I didn't have any trouble just jumping it. It follows the characters of Madison, who works for the Park Service, and Clayton, her childhood friend.

The characters are relatable and enjoyable to read about. The mystery is great and really kept me guessing and I love how she tied that up. It was a really great book that I had difficulty putting down. I definitely plan on going back and reading the other three novels in this series.

Deception by Patricia Bradley is the fourth book in the Natchez Trace Park Rangers series. The books in this series are full of thrilling moments and mind-boggling twists and turns.

This novel brings Madison Thorn, who is a white-collar crime expert, to Natchez, Mississippi. A woman, who could be her double, is attacked on the same night that Madison’s grandfather is murdered. This brings in Clayton Bradshaw, Madison’s former childhood enemy. They have to work together to piece the puzzle of the two incidents together.

I had many ideas of who the bad guys were as I read the novel, but nothing made sense. Each page of the mystery was full of thrills. I did not intend to read this novel in one sitting, but I read very quickly to find out who was committing these crimes and why. I was surprised at the end, which was good for me. I tend to fill in stories as I read and I had it figured all wrong. This was a very intense novel and I was entertained throughout the novel.

Madison is an investigator for the Park Service. She made the move from violent crimes to white collar after a tragic incident. While working a case near her hometown, she becomes involved in a case involving a violent attack. Family secrets come to light as she investigates and her grandfather has something to tell her that looks like it will tie to the case, but he too is attacked before he can say anything. Madison has to decide who she can trust and how to work with a childhood friend and fellow Ranger to find out what is really going on.

Deception by author Patricia Bradley is the last one in her Christian contemporary suspense Natchez Trace Park Rangers Series. This fourth book is a thrilling roller coaster read. I had trouble putting it down! Even though I had not read the first three books, I was able to follow this one without problems. However, after reading how fantastic Book 4 was, I will go back and read the three books that I skipped.

This is the story of Ranger Megan Thorn. She is in Natchez working on a white collar crime case. Her childhood friend, Clayton Bradshaw, becomes involved after an attack. These two are relatable, realistic characters. I loved their interaction. It was easy to become invested in them.

Action starts at the beginning of this intriguing novel and continues throughout the book. There are twists and turns, danger, surprises, danger, mystery, romance, and adventure! Just when I thought I had something figured out, something happened to prove me wrong. This tense read will keep you on your toes and turning pages! There is a thread of Christian inspiration woven throughout this book that I appreciated.

I completely enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. It gets a 5 out of 5 star rating from me. Any fan of Christian, contemporary, action intriguing, light fiction will love this book. A copy was provided by the publisher, but these are my honest words.

The truth is that I loved this book! It is rare to find a first chapter that was as exciting as this one! Madison is about to be killed by a man who she trusted. Later she is blindsided by other deep deceptions. How did her beloved grandfather die? How can she have an identical twin that she did not know about? Deception's web of deceit and lies is gradually cleared by this masterful tale full of shock and delight! Being able to cope with and forgive all wrongs is so hard, and how the characters manage to do this is worth reading. This book is so satisfying, and is a solid 5-star book, shining brightly!

Deception is a fast paced thriller with enough twists to keep you reading with deception on several levels. The characters are well-written, the love story is well-paced, not too fast. The Christian theme is well embedded without being preachy.
