Deception is the 4th installment in the Patricia Bradley’s Natchez Trace Park Rangers series. It stands on its own, but I recommend reading the entire series.
In this book, an Investigative Services Branch ranger, has been sent to to Natchez, MS, to investigate white collar crime. From the surprise beginning all the way through, this one is full of twists and turns and suspense. It’s a complex story, full of deception and mysteries to be solved. A very satisfying read!

I received a copy from Revell through Net Galley. The opinions are my own.

ISB Ranger Madison Thorn left her work in violent crimes after a traumatizing incident. Now she works white collar crimes and heads to Natchez for an assignment. Officer Clayton Bradshaw is investigating a shooting and Madison gets pulled into the investigation. She has to balance her own investigation and the unfolding drama with her own family and her adoptive past.

Madison struggles to trust men after what happened and Clayton made a promise when he came to follow Christ. They learn to work together and support each other through all the drama that unfolds.

This is book four in the series, I've not read the others, but I had no problems reading it as a stand alone. Christian suspense readers will enjoy it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review!

This is another great read. I did not want to put the book down!

The storyline is full of suspense and dangerous situations. Entwined are family secrets that Madison is forced to deal with in a brief amount of time.

The author crafts her characters to a point you are cheering for the good guys and hoping justice find the criminals.

Madison Thorn is an Investigative Services Branch, ranger who has been sent to Natchez, MS, where her grandfather lives, to investigate a white collar crime. Park ranger Clayton Bradshaw. is assigned to work on the case with her. The problem is she remembers him well from when she was a child visiting her grandfather and he and her two male cousins gave her a hard time. Things get dicey when someone starts trying to kill her and others and when people show up that she didn't know existed. This is a very good suspense story and I enjoyed it immensely.

I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my own honest opinion.

Deception is the fourth installment of Patricia Bradley’s Natchez Trace series. Madison Thorn is in Natchez to investigate a white-collar crime. When she was young, she spent summers in Natchez visiting her grandfather, whom she is delighted to be able to see again. When he is shot, she teams up with local law enforcement, her childhood nemesis, Clayton Bradshaw. They must work together to solve the growing violence around Natchez. There are twists and turns in this suspenseful mystery that kept me reading late into the night! Excellent book!

Thank you to Revell Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

Deception was an excellent read! It was full of mystery and had me guessing on the edge of my seat up until the last minute. The author did a great job of weaving faith, family, love, and mystery all into one story.

Madison comes to Natchez for an investigation case, and her world as she knew it falls apart. A warning ticket to slow down, he later becomes her friend when she needed one. Two attempted murders, and some thinking it was her now in the hospital. Her grandfather, a judge didn’t like the news he got earlier, but this.
Nothing makes sense for Madison, she is trained to investigate, can she?
Everything shows she is involved somehow in this nightmare. Dynamic plot, the tension is high as you read.
A great series, and a winner for the author. Given ARC by Net Galley and Revell for my voluntary review
and my honest opinion

Perfect ending to the Natchez Trace Park Ranger series. Although this can be read as a stand alone book, readers will not want to miss the others. Love that there were twists and turns to keep readers involved. The answers and reasons behind the acts of violence were not obvious which is always a plus. Recommended!

Madison moved to white collar crimes after a case went terribly wrong. Now she is in Natchez on a new case and is excited to stay with her grandfather. A wonderful thrilled with a Christian message and clean romance. Highly recommend.

Thriller with a unique twist.
Ranger Madison Thorn has joined the Fraud and cyber division of the ISB after a traumatic experience resulting in the love of her life and partner dying. working on a new case in Natchez Missippi, Madison; She runs into a parker ranger from her childhood. Clayton Bradshaw. When several incidents occur the two will need to put their attraction aside and work together to find the culprit before time runs out.

One thing I really liked about this book was the unique twist by revealing one of the key players from the start. Reveling someone involved while Madison and Clayton were clueless. At some points, I did get confused with the frequent changes of point of view. I would recommend this book to family and friends.

This is the fourth book in the Natchez Trace series. While it can be read as a stand alone book, I recommend reading it as a series (because you will enjoy it and understand the references to side characters.

I like the characters in this book. They have their flaws but they grow over the course of the book. This book had a number of side stories which were resolved by the end. They also added to the overall level of interest.

This is a book that I will be recommending for purchase in our library system. I felt it was the best book in the series.

Book 4 in the Natchez Trace series was a fast read, mostly because I was hooked from page one and hated to put the book down. This complex story deals in deception, discovery, and forgiveness, with plenty of suspense and unexpected turns of events. The romance between Madison and Clayton had its own stumbling blocks as the two characters worked together to unravel the mysteries facing them. Excellent read!

Deception by Patricia Bradley does definitely what the title suggests. There are plenty of deceptive moments in the plot. Bullets flying, romance sparking, and mistaken identity all shine across the page of this romantic suspense novel. Readers will enjoy the hunt for what is the reality of what happened in the past. With a dead grandfather in the scene, it is up to Madison to uncover the realities of her past and what that means for her future. The suspense was wonderfully handled. There are a number of plot points that needed to be untwisted by the end of the story, which is a delight for readers who enjoy more mysteries the better. As for the romance, it is not over the top, but it does flirt with the edges of the plotline. Bradley’s does know how to capture the suspense genre and satisfy the appetite of the readers of this popular genre. Overall, Deception by Patricia Bradley was a delightful romantic suspense novel with plenty of action and romance for fans of the genre.

I received a complimentary copy of Deception by Patricia Bradley from Revell Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. It is the fourth in the series and probably the best one!! Deception by Patricia Bradley stands as its own novel; there is no need to read the others in the series to understand its context. The plot is complex and well-thought-out. Deception is an easy, fast, and very exciting read. It’ll keep you guessing.
When ISB Ranger Madison Thorn arrives in Natchez to investigate a white-collar scheme, she has no idea she will be thrown back into the violent crimes division--or that it will get so personal. She'll have to work with her childhood enemy turned handsome charmer to unravel the clues before it's too late.
I recommend this book and will be purchasing it for our library.

So originally, I was going to take a break from reading romantic suspense novels. I tried…for two weeks. Patricia Bradley drew me back into the genre with Deception, the final novel of her “Natchez Trace Park Rangers” series. I have followed this series from beginning to end, and this one does not disappoint! Madison and Clayton make a believable pair whose relationship seems to naturally transition. There is no force. A dash of romance, a sprinkling of suspense, and a pinch of mystery all combine to make a fantastic story that leaves readers guessing until the final page.

Deception by Patricia Bradley is everything a Christian romantic suspense novel should be. Madison and Clayton are both imperfect, and there is no doubt, they are different people. But their differences make for a great partnership between them as they seek to unwrap a compelling mystery with lives on the line. And to think, Madison only came to town to investigate a white-collar crime case with the FBI. She did not expect to plunge back into the violent crime investigations that she left behind four years ago. And Clayton definitely didn’t think he would ever see Madison again.

It took me two weeks to read one hundred pages of a different novel before I plunged into Deception by Patricia Bradley. Deception? It took me maybe five hours to finished, split into two days. For the first time in a long time, I experienced a novel that could have kept me up at night, had I read Deception in bed. That is saying something, because it is actually rather hard to achieve. Bradley’s newest book has the thrill you need to take breaths away and the humor necessary to break up tension. If I had to choose, Deception may be my favorite of the entire “Natchez Trace Park Rangers” series.

Deception by Patricia Bradley stands as its own novel; there is no need to read the others in the series to understand its context. The plot is complex and well thought-out but not so much that it is confusing. You may need to remind yourself of some character names as you go along (I did), but outside of that? Deception is an easy, fast, and very exciting read. It’ll keep you guessing, as it did me. If you give it a shot, you won’t regret it!
