Murder at the Blueberry Festival is book 3 in the Beacon Bakeshop Mystery series.

Lindsey Bakewell, owner of the Beacon Bakeshop, is a member of the committee responsible for putting on the Beacon Blueberry Festival. The chairman of the committee gets pranked at her home and as the festival continues, so do the pranks. While no one has been hurt, the escalation is troubling. When a dead man is discovered on a boat, Lindsey investigates as to whether there is a connection to the pranks and who had a reason to kill the man.

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy.

It is August and the annual Beacon Harbor Blueberry Festival is starting. Lindsey Bakewell, owner of the Beacon Bakeshop, and other townspeople are tasked with hosting events and Lindsey is hosting the pie eating contest since she cannot compete. Unfortunately, there is a prankster causing all kinds of chaos and Lindsey is awakened one night by her dog and then hears a goat bleating. The poor goat is in a boat floating out into Lake Michigan. When she and her friend Rory get out to the boat, they discover a body inside. This is the third book in the series and although a cozy mystery, this one features a character facing the memory loss of Alzheimer's and the effect the disease has on him and all who love him, so there is more depth to this story than the earlier two. But there are delicious blueberry references and recipes that brought back good memories to this native Michigan reader. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

The blueberry festival is in town and someone is playing pranks on the organizers. Who would do this and why? Is it a group of teenagers? When Lindsey finds out that this has happened before, she starts to dig deeper and has plenty of suspects. When she and Sir Huntsalot find a boat drifting in the lake with a goat and the body of one of her main suspects, she finds out that things aren’t always what they seem.

Another fabulous entry in this series. I love the lighthouse and the animals that are included in this cast. A well thought out whodunit with interesting characters and a waterfront setting makes for a great escape from the real world.

Blueberries, Michigan, Cozy Murder Mystery, Blueberries...The Beacon Bakeshop did it again, and they didn't miss a beat. This book had me hooked from the first chapter.
During the Blueberry Festival, during each of the activities, certain things go wrong, and then it is ended with a death. When I read that Lindsey and her man found a dead person on a Viking boat with a goat, I was all in. With the help of her friend, Kennedy, and the other people of the town of Beacon, you fall in love with these characters and this town more and more. I can't wait for the next book.
Thank you Kensington Books and NetGalley for the Advance read

This was a great read. I had to make myself put it down or I would have stayed up all night to finish it. It was well-written and flowed well. The characters are carefully constructed and you can imagine them. The town comes alive in your mind. The storyline does not slow down. There are a lot of twists along the way that will keep you guessing. The ending will give you something to think about. All in all an excellent story in the Lighthouse Bakery

Lindsay, her family and friends are deeply involved in the annual Blueberry Festival (and boy do the recipes make me ready to eat some fresh blueberries). Unfortunately, someone is pulling pranks at every event and while the crowds keep growing, the planners arw not happy. Then, a body is found - but is it a murder?

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

Fun series with quirky characters. I love this series and the prior books, they can easily stand alone though. This, the third in the series, was as entertaining as the others.

A blueberry festival is just the type of fun to be had in Beacon Harbor. Lindsey, Kennedy and Rory are put to the test at solving a murder and pranks played during the festival. Lots of twist and turns in this one. Wellington the newfie is my favorite character. Impatiently waiting for another adventure.

Once again Lindsey, Kennedy and Rory solve a murder. Lindsey’s dog Wellington and a goat named Clara helped. This was an excellent cozy mystery. I love this series and would recommend this series to everyone.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of MURDER AT THE BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL (Book 3 of the Beacon Bakeshop Mysteries), by Darci Hannah, in exchange for an honest review. Lindsey, her family, and her friends are all heavily involved with the various events taking place at the Blueberry Festival. A series of pranks sabotaging those events ruffle local feathers while drawing regional interest. However, the pranks escalate, and Lindsey is soon confronted with another dead body. There’s a question of suicide or homicide, so Lindsey and company investigate the death to clear the shadow from the victim’s reputation.

I liked this book as well as the series. I recommend this book and the series to fans of cozy murder mysteries featuring bake shops, giant dogs, lighthouse ghosts, and lakeside villages.

A visit to the lighthouse bakery is always delightful, but the blueberry festival opens the door for pranks that turn to murder. Wonderful characters and an interesting mystery.

What's more exciting than living and working in a lighthouse? For Lindsay Bakewell, it's a dream come true. After spending time working on Wall Street, Lindsay finds herself creating delicious treats in her lighthouse bakery, and enjoying life with her gorgeous Newfie dog, Wellie.
She has a relationship with her neighbor Rory, and things are going well in her world.
Preparations are underway for the Blueberry Festival and everyone is looking forward to it.
Unfortunately, there seems to be a prankster in town who is determined to make a ruckus of the festival.
Even though the pranks appear to be harmless, everyone is on edge, wondering what will happen next.
Early one morning, Lindsay is woken up by Wellie barking, and a look out her window leads to a devastating shock, she finds a goat afloat on a boat.
What she finds next is horrible and she won't stop until she finds the answers.

While this is a cozy mystery, it touches on real life issues and the author did a good job creating awareness.
I loved this book and would be happy to recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

Murder at the Blueberry Festival by Darci Hannah (Beacon Bakeshop Mystery #3) 4.5 stars

Lindsay Bakewell, Wall Street refugee and owner of the Beacon Bakeshop is up to her neck in blueberries. It is the annual Blueberry Festival in Beacon Harbor and everything is "Blueberry". Being a professional baker, Lindsay has been barred from competing in the Blueberry Pie bake-of, but she is roped in to running the blueberry pie eating contest. However, a series of pranks start to haunt the festival. stealing realtor "For Sale" signs, pelting water balloons at the Mayor's choir float, sending goats into a fashion show, and destroying a delicate glass sculpture. Is Lindsay's pie-eating event the next on the prankster's list. But the pranks become no laughing matter, when a goat bleating wakes Lindsay up to find a boat floating in the water not far from Lindsay's lighthouse home. Lindsay and Rory find a dead body in the boat dressed up like a Viking. Can Lindsay and her friends find out the truth behind these bizarre incidents and bring back peace in Beacon Harbor?

This was a very good mystery and had me craving blueberries at each turn. I really enjoyed all the interactions between the characters. But I must say that Wellington and Clare stole the book - extremely cute. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for this ARC.

Murder at the Blueberry Festival by Darci Hannah is a great cozy mystery that is the third book in the wonderful series: Beacon Bakeshop. I have really enjoyed this series.

I have now read all three books so far, and I feel like they are getting better and better.

I have really come to enjoy visiting Beacon Harbor and Lindsey’s fabulous bakery.

I enjoyed the murder/mystery plot, pacing, and the ending as well.

I feel this is a great addition to the series and really like how the characters are coming into their own as it develops. I like the relationship between Lindsey and Rory, and like how he is figuring out his place in life in this book. And of course I love Wellington!!!!!

Also, I am craving Blueberry muffins!

This is the newest in the Beacon Bakeshop cozy mystery series. Lindsey is excited to be part of Beacon Harbor's Blueberry Festival. However, things start to go awry when a series of pranks start happening. Then someone ends up dead in a Viking boat and costume in the middle of a lake. After this discovery, Lindsey and her boyfriend Rory decide to investigate to see if this murder victim was also the prankster.

This was the first in this series that I had read, but I enjoyed it a lot! I liked the characters, and felt like the flow of the mystery was good. There were also yummy sounding recipes included at the end!
