So many books promise "Stars Hollow vibes," but no one delivers like Kerry Winfrey. Her books are charming and cozy and romantic, and this might be her best one yet. The way Sandy stood in her own way, and the way Hank made space for her to find herself first, truly felt like the warmest hug of a romance.

I went into this one super excited as the synopsis sounded so interesting. I’m so glad to say I really enjoyed it.

We follow two high school sweethearts, Sandy Macintosh and Hank Tillman, as they get a second chance at love. Both of them had dreams to make it big together, but unfortunately, plans didn't go as they were planned. Sandy ends up staying in her small town in Ohio while Hank goes off to Boston to follow his dreams as a musician.

Fifteen years later, Sandy is living the perfect life with her successful greenhouse - until Hank comes back to town. Hank has made it in the big league as a famous alt-country singer. Sandy begins to rethink everything - including her love for her high school sweetheart.

I really enjoyed this book. I switched from the e-book and audiobook and I think both were phenomenal. I enjoyed reading about both of these characters. Usually, I have a hit-or-miss relationship with second-chance romances, but I really enjoyed this one. I loved the uniqueness of these talented characters and their love for music.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this story as much as I did, but the characters were just so well-written. The chemistry between the two was also super wholesome and I loved that they got their second chance at love. This was such an entertaining romance read and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Thank you NetGalley and PRH Audio for my review copies - all thoughts are my own!

Another heartwarming and engaging story by Kerry Winfrey! Loved the small town setting and the characters. The story was so cute and fun. I love the second chance romance and it felt like a believable storyline. I'd love to see a movie of this one.

JUST ANOTHER LOVE SONG by Kerry Winfrey was a heartwarming, second chance romance!

Every woman wants to fall in love with a country star… except when that country star is your ex.

This gave me all the small town feels.

Hank was absolutely swoony and his son was ADORABLE.

I loved Sandy and my heart broke for her internal struggles with Hank being back in town and all the memories of their past.

I could not put this one down and literally binged it in less than 24 hours!

Just Another Love Song is a solid contemporary romance read. The novel plays with a few tropes, including second chance romance, small town romance, and the famous person trope. I really loved the small town setting, set in a small Ohio town – it was reminiscent of one of my recent favorite reads, The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston – & seeing Sandy and her friends come together to put on the town’s annual fair (now here’s where you picture Stars Hollow). The book is so heart-warming, between Sandy’s relationships with her friends, Hank, her best friend, Honey, and Honey’s kids, and her parents, who own the town’s only B&B. If you want a book that puts a smile on your face, then Just Another Love Song is the book for you.

At this point, I'll read Kerry Winfrey's grocery list!

After reading Waiting for Tom Hanks, I immediately fell in love with Kerry's writing, her characters and her stories. Just Another Love Song is such a sweet and charming small town romance that left me wanting more. The characters are adorable, the second chance at romance is so satisfying and the romance is swoony.

I'm such a fan of Kerry's books and I can't wait for what comes next!

I'd been in a reading slump before picking this up. This was the first book in a while that managed to hold my attention.
First, I love Kerry Winfrey's writing style. It's like sitting down and listening to your best friend tell you all about her day. It's the right amount of conversational and reality with excellent pacing, plot, and characters to support it all.
This is a gentle second chance romance. There are no grand dramas or irritating misunderstandings. The only irritating thing is that main character, Sandy, seems hellbent on sabotaging the sweetest most genuine romance anyone could hope to have.
I kept coming back to this story, eager to see what would unfold and I was easily sucked into the world of Sandy, Hank, and Baileyville, Ohio.
Another fantastic read from Kerry Winfrey.

Just Another Love Song is a sweet second-chance romance about the courage to follow your dreams.

“It’s a whole lot harder to pretend someone doesn’t exist when they’re standing right in front of you, wearing a thin gray t-shirt that clings to their chest and low slung jeans that are faded and ripped in all the right places.”

When they were in high school, Sandy and Hank dreamed of getting out of their small Ohio town of Baileyville and chasing their dreams together. Sandy was going to be an artist and Hank was going to be a musician. But when circumstances change that leave Sandy behind, she lets Hank go so he can succeed.

Fifteen years later, Sandy is still in Baileyville, running a business she loves and being highly involved in town activities. Hank is now a successful country singer, and when he returns home, it seems like everywhere Sandy turns, he is there, reminding her of what she could’ve had.

When it seems like Hank is interested in spending more time in Baileyville, it becomes harder and harder to ignore the chemistry that remains between them and the desire to try again. But what happens when Hank goes on tour again? Can Sandy leave the life that she has built or is it easier just to let him go again?

This is definitely a slow-burn romance, even though you know what will happen. But the supporting characters in this book are so fantastic that it almost doesn’t matter that it takes so long for Sandy and Hank to admit their feelings for one another.

I’m a huge fan of Kerry Winfrey’s books and she’s definitely an auto-buy author for me!! Many thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Another fantastic, sweet romance from Kerry Winfrey. I've loved all of her books and so far, this is my favourite, as a big fan of second-chance romances.

I like how Kerry Winfrey connects characters from her books.
Another light hearted book with a musical touch.
Recommended for fans of light romances.

I adored this book! This might actually be my favorite of Winfrey’s books so far. Sandy and Hank are so cute and the tension throughout this book is THE BEST (* chef’s kiss *). I love Winfrey’s writing style and her banter between the H and h is great. These characters have such great chemistry. This book is written so that you get glimpses of both ‘now’ and ‘then,’ and it was fun to see the growth that Sandy and Hank each had over time. This is one of those stories that I really didn’t want to end.

I do love a good small town, second chance romance/the one that got away story. Throw in the fact that they were high school sweethearts had me devouring this story just to see if they would end up with a HEA. I love that recently I've been reading a lot more books with MCs in their thirties, which as a thirty-something year old woman I truly appreciate. I enjoyed how lighthearted and fun this read was and found the characters enjoyable - though I really wish I did get to know more about Hank's music career, I definitely think it was a missed opportunity to connect more with Hank and his life away from Baileyville. 3.5 rounded up.

High school sweethearts, Sandy and Hank, thought they'd be together forever. Instead, he went on to become a famous musician while Sandy stayed in their hometown, running a successful greenhouse plus bed and breakfast with her parents. Fifteen years later, Hank comes back and sparks fly between the two, while the whole town seems to conspire to get them back together (cute, meddlesome small town communities are another trope I love!). The whole story and their relationship was just so wholesome and sweet but with depth. I was fully invested in watching them reconnect, talk about their past, and really find their way back to each other in this genuine (not to mention super cute!) way.

Kerry Winfrey writes such wholesome novels. If you love love stories, but not much spice, she is your gal! I can go either way, so when I feel like a Hallmark type book, I pick her up 💜

I loved this sweet small town! Small towns are definitely my jam. The characters were all hilarious and there for each other any time they needed something. Mainly emotional support in this one…and I always love a good fair storyline too. Give me all the fried foods and dance settings 💜

Another trope I’m a fan of is second chance love stories…I’ve been reading a lot of them lately…and this one was really cute. High School sweethearts who were torn apart because of life and then came back together in their 30’s 💜 I just adored Sandy and Hank.

Thank you to @netgalley and @berkleypub for the arc in exchange for my honest review!

It is lovely, charming, heartwarming small town second chance romance with full of summer vibe and nostalgia. I recommend this to readers of this genre.

The plot is interesting, not something I haven’t read before, but it still made me want to keep reading mostly because of the setting, characters, and community.

I loved secondary characters more. Honey is fabulous friend. Her and Sandy's friendship made me smile and laugh most in the story. There are so many other characters that I liked. Baileyville town is heart of the story.

Romance is slow burn, lovely and nostalgic with second chance trope.I loved how they found their way back to each other but it lacked the chemistry. End is feel good and lovely happily ever after.

Why 4 Stars-
Like I said I didn’t feel the chemistry. I wish there was Hank’s perspective. Let’s just say author’s previous book, Waiting for Tom Hanks, set high standard and this wasn’t that good.

I'm a big Kerry Winfrey fan, so I was excited to read this small-town romance. Sandy and Hank are high school sweethearts with big plans for success in their lives. However, when Hank goes off to college on the East Coast and Sandy is unexpectedly left behind, a rift forms in their relationship, and they break up. Fifteen years later, Hank, now a famous singer/songwriter, is back in town, and they reconnect.

I loved the small-town setting of this book and the detail that Winfrey put into it. One of my favorite things about her books is their vividness and how you can picture these cute, small towns. I also enjoy the dialogue, banter, and dynamics she creates between the main characters.

Unfortunately, this one ended up falling a bit flat for me. I didn't love Sandy as the main character because I couldn't connect with her feelings about feeling like a failure. She has an amazing creative small business, great friends, and a close-knit family! But her self-doubt felt a touch draining to me by the end of the novel.

However, definitely very cute and a very comforting read.

This was so utterly lovely. I just adored the time jumps that allowed us to see both the past and present of these characters. This makes me want to jump in an old pickup truck, and listen to country music holding my lovers hand.

Thank you so much Berkley, and team, for the advanced copy.

This was sweet, light and absolutely adorable. I wish there was a little bit more of Hanks musical story but I still really enjoyed the second chance romance with Hank and Sandy. It was such a quick and happy read, I couldn’t put it down. I wish the ending was longer since this entire book was very slow burns but I still really enjoyed it and already passed it along for my sister to read!! I’m excited to read more from Kerry!

Just Another Love Song is a sweet and heartwarming read that gives you so much hope in love! A small town, second-chance romance where the love interest is a single dad who also happens to be a superstar is right up my alley in reading romance and this book had it all. This author knows how to write a cutesy romance book that is quick read for the weekend!

This second chance romance about a hometown boy who made it big as a musician and the sweet girl he left behind hits all the right notes: cozy Stars Hollow vibe, gay co-worker, mixed race best friend, and a generally happy gardener with a house and a dog, who longs for a family and keeps burying that dream along with her seedlings because she can’t forget the one that got away… Hank and Sandy were high school sweethearts, but when her funding fell through, he went off to Berkeley and she remained at home to attend community college. She kept tabs on his career, and tried to date in a very small pool after their devastating split.

Their romance and breakup, told in past tense flashbacks, fill out the backstory at perfect intervals. In the present day, Sandy has given up her artist dreams for running a garden shop, volunteering, helping out her parents who run an inn, and assisting with an end of summer town festival. When Hank lands back on town and agrees to not only headline one of the weekend concerts, Sandy keeps running into him, and before she knows it, they’re soliciting donations and picking up creepy dolls together for an exhibition. The attraction is still there, but deeper and more adult, but Hank has a son (and presumably, a wife) so Sandy is sure that he’s off limits–and never gave her a second thought, but the truth comes out that both have found through the years that no one else measures up.

This novel has strong setting (Ohio!) with both pastoral rural details and a healthy dose of tidbits about famous Ohioians. Sandy’s longing is heartbreakingly palpable but there is a lot of humor in her voice and situations to balance out the angst. She has great (sometimes unexpectedly so!) female friends who have her back. And Hank is almost too good to be true but has some human mis-steps AND calls Sandy on her shit. There is some kissyface but love scenes are not heavy on the details, and the language is (to my recollection) also fairly clean, making this a cozy read that won’t cause too many heart palpitations for readers who prefer the sexy times happen behind closed doors.

I received a free advance reader’s review copy of #JustAnotherLoveSong from #NetGalley.
