If you’re looking for a totally charming and sweet romance to add to your TBR I’ve got you, because this was adorable. It’s a second chance romance with a single dad and a small town setting, gimme all the tropes please! I would say this is a slower burn as far as the romance goes, Sandy and Hank both have to work through some stuff before they’re ready to give each other another chance and I enjoyed their path back to each other wholeheartedly. Secondary to the romance is the small town setting but man was it cute. The residents were quirky, meddling and hilarious and added so much charm to an already charming story. There are also big summer vibes and lots of nostalgia as Sandy spends time thinking about her and Hank’s high school relationship. I loved the towns annual street fair too and the strong sense of community among the members of this little Ohio town. Overall a great summer read if you want light and breezy.

Just Another Love Song by Kerry Winfrey is a super sweet second chance romance.
It was nice to read a wholesome, down to earth, clean romance set in a small town. Many of the places mentioned are real (shout out to Cedar Point! I have been there many times).
My heart was so happy to see Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks play such a pivotal role in the romance between Sandy and Hank. I also picked up some Sweet Home Alabama vibes (one of my favorite movies). The struggles with depression and feeling left behind were treated with the upmost care and my heart was so heavy for Sandy.
It was very refreshing to read this one on my deck with a glass of lemonade. If you love country music, second chances and the great state of Ohio, then this is the book for you.

Thank you to Net Galley and Berkley Publishing for my eArc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Welp, I really really liked this one.

It gave me hallmark movie and Gilmore Girls vibes. I really liked Sandy her life in her small town. I liked her relationship with Hank both in the present and in the past. With this story, I completely understood holding onto the feelings for your high school love.

I liked the way the relationship between Sandy and Hank unfolded in the present day. How it was both slow and steady and also very quick as it was based on so much history.

I liked seeing the interactions between everyone in the town. Especially Sandy’s friends. There were so many moments that made me giggle out loud.

This one is just fun and comfy. (4.5)

High School sweethearts getting a second chance at love? Sign me up, please! Just Another Love Song is a charming, second-chance romance filled with hope and all the feels I was searching for.

High school sweethearts Sandy and Hank, thought nothing could rock them. Both had big dreams for a better life and leaving their small town behind. But, when Sandy’s plans fall through, she ends up getting left behind. Fifteen years later, Sandy’s life is perfect, until Hank comes back into town. And while she’s happy with the life she built, Hank coming back into town stirs up memories she’d rather forget…

Just Another Love Song is a fun and entertaining read. It’s filled with small-town vibes, charming characters, and entertaining dialogue. This story is well written and it’s easy to get swept up in. Before you know it, you’ve devoured it in just a few short hours. And after reading a ton of heavy books lately, this lighthearted second chance romance was just what the doctor ordered for this reader.

If you’re looking for a feel-good romance, you won’t want to miss Just Another Love Song. Just Another Love Song is the perfect summer read. I hope you get swept up in this story just as I have.

Just Another Love Song is a hallmark-like second chance romances with Star Hollow vibes! Sandy broke up with Hank 15 years ago to give him a chance to pursue his dreams and now that Hank is back in town, they start to wonder if their love song can start over. I have some mixed feelings about this one. I didn’t like Sandy. Her whole identity rested on Hank and their past and she just felt immature and insecure, and I just felt like the more the two came together, the more Sandy got lost in him. I like in a romance when the two feel like partners, but in this Sandy felt a little too desperate and a little whiny, when in reality, she had a lot going for her—a house, amazing, quirky friends I’d love to hang out with, and a job she was interested in—but she never felt like she found her confidence. And I think the show would’ve really benefited from a dual POV because without Hank’s perspective, I feel like the chemistry fell a little flat with how Sandy was. But I did enjoy the dialogue and the reconnection of these two. I did want more vulnerability from them too though. But I did like Hank as a character. While his music career felt a little in the backseat, I loved seeing him as a dad and he was just really charming. Also, I adored their small town. The fair was so vivid and the friendships were so strong and powerful. I loved the support Sandy got from the people she had around her. The book felt like a feel-good Hallmark movie really and I thought the end was sweet.

This was a super cute second chance romance. I really enjoyed reading Sandy & Hank's story and watching their love story unfold. I do wish we got see or hear more of Hank's musical career, that was def. on the backburner this book. I enjoy all of Kerry Winfrey's books because they are lighthearted, funny and just so cute.

I've based several outfits off of the coloring of this cover, solid romance not an OMG everyone needs to read but definite second purchase.

I think this is a very sweet second chance romance for anyone looking for a light read. I think this book started off a little abruptly just throwing the reader into a bump in between Hank and Sandy, without any information on either character, but soon after, everything is smooth sailing. I love the "one that got away" premise and while I do think that this story is rather slow moving, I was happy with any ending that was given to these two characters (even though I did feel like things were rushed just a bit at the end) who I rooted for throughout. This romance had a great cast of side characters that really added to the charm of the town, a setting that I adored throughout. We learn a lot about the town, which may at times take away from the romance.

In the end, it was a cute, light read.

Kerry Winfrey's romcoms fill me with the warm fuzzies. As a country fan, I devoured Just Another Love Song. The characters were so fun and the romance was so sweet and satisfying.

I don't think I'll ever say no to a new Kerry Winfrey. I adore all of the puns, all of the swoon, and the great cast of characters. It's absolutely a feel-good read.
Sandy and Hank are high school sweethearts, both desperately looking forward to escaping their small town life and making it big as an artist and musician, respectively. But when life throws Sandy lemons, she doesn't handle it well. Fast forward fifteen years when they cross paths again, Sandy wants to avoid, avoid, avoid.
In pure Kerry style, Just Another Love Song is delightful and funny. The "big misunderstanding" was typically expected. Otherwise, the second chance and back and forth between past and present was beautifully done. Side Note: can I have a Honey in my life and, if it's not too much to ask, a swoony song dedication??
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the advanced copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.

This is the fourth book I've read from Kerry Winfrey and I have loved them all, including this newest upcoming release. This one is a little less "old-school light romcom" and more emotional, but it still has the trademark wit and delightful banter one expects from the author! Unsurprisingly, she nails all the classic small-town tropes (quirky/friendly/nosy neighbors, fairs and other community events, amazing local baked goods) but Sandy's struggle to find herself deserving of Hank and her own happiness really broke my heart. I was so happy she had friends like Honey, Shelby, Marcia (I could go on) to set her straight. And Hank is such a great combination of hot and sentimental. I am such a fan.

I am a huge Kerry Winfrey fan; her books are the perfect mixture of comedy and heart, and JUST ANOTHER LOVE SONG is perhaps the sweetest, coziest, funniest yet. This second chance romance hit all of the right notes for me (ha!) and I felt so many feelings but never got bogged down by them, which is the absolute sweet spot for me as a reader. The witty dialogue gave me Nora Ephron movie vibes, the small town was charming but realistic, the setting wonderfully vivid, and I just enjoyed the heck out of everything about this book. Can't wait to have it on my shelf!

There's no one that does a wholesome romance quite like Kerry Winfrey. Just Another Love Song follows Sandy and Hank over there 15+ year relationship. I loved these characters from the get go, but even more so, I fell in love with Baileyville. While I know that Hank writes his songs about Sandy, this book feels like Winfrey's love song to small town America. Those little spaces where everyone knows each other and the town means something special to them all. The side characters (including, but not limited to Hotpants Ed) grow on you and soon you're routing for everyone, not just Sandy and Hank.

Kerry Winfrey broke my heart about 30% in and I wasn't sure how in the world she was going to put it back together. Maybe I related a little too much to the heroine, Sandy. She found her OTP back in high school, well, really back in Kindergarten, but financial circumstances forced her to stay in their small town when he left for college. Hank is a successful musician and he's back in town and maybe, just maybe, he is there for Sandy. Sandy would never let herself imagine such a thing though, and dear reader, we can both relate and identify with her and also pine for them to be together.
This book is so much more than I expected. Don't mistakenly lump it into the 'burned out musician comes home for his sweetheart to revive his spirit' pile of books that are out now. It's actually not that at all.
I loved this book! Kerry Winfrey just keeps getting better and better (and I adored Teddy and Everett from Very Sincerely Yours - such a creative book!).

Thank you so much Berkley and Netgalley for the ARC!

I wanted to love this more than I did. In Sandy and Hank, Winfrey gave me two characters I could root for, and supporting characters I also loved. (Supporting characters who were, it seemed, more interesting than their leading counterparts.) I wanted good things for these characters but the story kind of dragged for me. While I wasn't the right audience for this, many of my readers will be eager to pick up this sweet, chaste, and kind-hearted second chance love story.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.

This may be my favorite read of the summer. I read it in one day. I could not put it down.

It's the story of letting who you love go and seeing if they come back.

Sandy and Hank were high school sweethearts and madly in love, but after Sandy's scholarship doesn't come through she must stay home and go to a community school. She makes the hard decision to let Hank go live his life and become the musician he is meant to be.

Heartbroken Sandy makes the most of her life, she is a successful community member and business owner but has never found someone to replace Hank. That is until she runs into Hank at the store and all those memories are stirred up again.

This book gave me all the feels. I adored it.

Just Another Love Song doesn’t have anything spectacular to make it stand out from most second-chance romcoms, but it’s still a lovely read with fun characters, a hilariously accurate small town setting, and a romance that will make you smile.

The biggest insight of the book is the reality that dreams can change and that you can still be happy even if you don’t get everything you always wanted. However, you also can’t be afraid of change and letting yourself chase old dreams if the opportunity arises. I think these messages will resonate with many readers, regardless of whether or not they’ve achieved their dreams.

I loved the accuracy of the small town setting and the “everybody knows everybody” trope. It’s a trope because it’s so true, and it was used excellently in the setting of Baileyville. The witty banter is also wonderful and funny, and all the characters are well-developed and quirky.

Overall, Just Another Love Song is the perfect summer read. It’s not too complex, but it’s wonderfully sweet and unexpectedly funny, and you’ll find yourself smiling the entire time.

The romance is not as captivating here as the ones from Winfrey's past work, and I didn't really buy the main character's angst about still being stuck in her hometown. It's still charming and enjoyable, but I was ready to say goodbye to these characters long before the end of the book.

Call it Love! Just Another Love Song made me smile for days thereafter.

Also, a rom-com I liked more than Kaceey? How is that even possible?!?! Baawaaahhaaaa!

High School Sweethearts Sandy & Hank always thought they'd end up together. Then they didn't. You know the story. Hank went off to University, and Sandy stayed home, then Hank went and married someone else.

Years later, Hank winds up back in their old hometown and runs straight into Sandy. Their old chemistry is still there, yet Sandy is the one holding back.

What seemed obvious here, is in order to find happiness with someone else, you have to be happy with yourself first.

Perhaps that is why I loved this rom-com so much!

Full of love, laughter, friendship, and tears, this also had lots of great witty banter.

This was my second favorite novel from Kerry Winfrey. If you like her books, I think you'll like this!

Another fab buddy read with Ms. Kaceey.

Huge thanks to Elisha at Berkley Publishing Group via NetGalley for the arc.

The way that this book had me in my feelings & completely swept me off my feet. Wow. Just wow. I am huge hopeless romantic & this book catered directly to my heart. I enjoyed myself tremendously, I laughed, I smiled, and most importantly, I cried. I shed lots of big fat sappy tears. I don’t know about you but I love a book that gets me in my feelings (not too deep though). Throughout the book there are songs mentioned & I 100% listened to them whilst reading. This heartfelt small town romance gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings & butterflies. It is such a cozy read that felt like a huge hug & will forever be my comfort read.

This is a second chance at love between high school sweethearts who are in each other’s lives again, after 15 years. Sandy has spent all of those years missing Hank & after seeing him again she faced the hard truth of not being over him. She can’t help but think of what could’ve been, or the family they could’ve had together, especially after seeing him with his son Henry. They are forced to spend time together organizing their town’s fair, & so many emotions and feelings resurface (for obvious reasons). Does he feel the same way? Will they get the happily ever after she’s longed for?

If you believe in second chances, enjoy small town romance, & have enjoyed Kerry’s other books, then this one is for you.

You can expect:

* Second Chance At Love
* Small Town Romance
* Based in Ohio
* Cliche Love Song References
* Laugh Out Loud Romcom
* The One That Got Away Premise
* Closed Door Romance
* Swoonworthy Cozy Read
