Wow! This is one of Jessica Patch’s best books ever! From the opening scene in the Chihuahuan dessert to the tied-up ends in chapter 15 I was drawn into this suspense-filled story. Forensic artist Brigitte is paired with FBI Special agent Duke Jericho when the Sunrise Serial Killer strikes again. As in other books by Jessica Patch everyone is a suspect until they are not! The romance element in Cold Case Killer Profile is top notch as well. Brigitte and Duke both have reasons why they can’t open their hearts to love the other. Barriers are broken, murders are solved, and criminals are put away.

I highly recommend this book for readers who enjoy inspirational romantic suspense.
I was given a copy of this book by the author. I was not required to give a positive review.

If Jessica R. Patch’s second Quantico Profilers installment, Cold Case Killer Profile, isn’t at the top of your To Be Read list, it should be.
Brigitte is a police officer and an artist, both forensic and landscape. Her paintbrush wields gorgeous sunrises as masterfully as her pencils bring victim’s memories to life on a page. She’s out in the desert one morning capturing the beauty of the rising sun when something catches her eye in the distance…a dead body. As she goes to investigate, she’s attacked from behind.
The Sunrise Serial Killer is back after years of silence, killing women whose eyes are like “a star before sunrise”.
Duke is a special agent profiler with the FBI, sent to work the case in tandem with the police departments in whose jurisdiction bodies from the SSK have been found.
After Brigette is lured to a false call, attacked and her partner injured, she goes on leave from her department…but not the case. She teams up with Duke. Between trying to find a killer now out to get her, she’s dealing with her father’s Alzheimer’s, as well as battling her own sense of loneliness. Her mother gone, her father ill (most days he doesn’t know who she is), and no other family.
Duke’s haunted by his own demons…a failed marriage that leaves him doubting he can ever risk open his heart to another woman again.
Duke and Brigette work very well together, and quickly develop respect and caring for for one another. But can each of them let the Lord open their hearts enough to let the other in?
While Jessica creates a fast-paced tale of gripping suspense, it’s also the quiet and gentle, but frequent, reminders of how the Lord sees us and loves us that have a hold on this reader.
I truly hope there will be a book 3 in this series!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, however my opinion is entirely my own.

Brigitte, a forensic artist, finds herself the target of a renown serial killer, and as they dig deeper the case takes a personal turn.

A fast paced read, full of suspense, and more intense subject matter than usual. I liked the interaction between Duke and Brigitte, as well as the strong faith. I really enjoyed Brigitte's friendship with Mrs. Kipling, and how she helped her by giving good advice and counsel.

A gripping read that I didn't want to put down, there was a lot going on and more intense subject matter with a serial killer on the loose. Well written with great characters that I could cheer for throughout.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Cold Case Killer Profile was an extremely action packed story! Right from the beginning, Brigitte found herself in extreme danger that didn’t let up for the entire novel. This book is the second in the Quantico Profilers series, but reads as a stand alone novel.

I really liked the two main characters, Duke and Brigitte. They developed a great connection together, however, there were reasons that both of them were hesitant to marry anyone. I liked seeing how they resisted the attraction to each other the best they could, even as it was very clear that they cared for each other.

This story had lots of great twists and turns to it and the leads into the investigation that Duke and Brigitte followed slowly yielded new evidence with each discovery. I hope to read the next book in the series, too.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Can he prevent her from being the next victim?

Every time I pick up a Jessica R. Patch novel I know I am in for a real treat – one that is far more chilling than ice cream. Cold Case Killer Profile was all that I expected and a little bit more! Seriously, it's up there on my list of favorite Love Inspired Suspense reads for this year...

Cold Case Killer Profile was a gritty and intense read for such a small book, only 220+ pages, but that is something that, not only does Jessica R. Patch continuously deliver, but she seems to amp it a little more each and every book. As good as this one was, I can not wait to get my hands on the third Quantico Profilers novel.

When I first started Cold Case Killer Profile I was a little surprised when I discovered that Jessica R. Patch had used one of my, albeit secret, favorite tropes that is rarely used outside of historical romance and Gothic romance – that is the distinct age gap between hero and heroine. Boy does it cause problems for this Love Inspired Suspense hero and heroine, but, you know that by the end of the story they will somehow work things out...

The Quantico Profilers series has been really great reading that keeps me on the edge of my seat and carefully analyzing the clues to see if my hunches are correct. And, Jessica R. Patch is a good one for my guesses to be right...and wrong...at the same time...Cold Case Killer Profile certainly had a few of those surprises come my way...

Now? Now, I play the waiting game for the next release...

(I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

This is an action packed mystery, and I enjoyed going along for the ride as Brigitte and Duke solved the case. I always look forward to new releases from Jessica Patch, and this one did not let me down. I definitely recommend picking up a copy.

Cold Case Killer Profile is the second book that I have read by Jessica R. Patch and it won’t be the last. It is also the second book in the series Quantico Profilers. It is about the Sunrise Serial Killer who has resurfaced after many years. Brigitte, a forensic artist incounters the serial killer who is still staging his latest victim and she barely escapes with her life. Enter special agent Duke who joins Brigitte in the perilous search for the Sunrise Serial Killer. Brigitte is now a target of the serial killer and because Duke is working with her so is he too. Will Brigitte and Duke survive and figure out who the serial killer is in time, read Cold Case Killer Profile.
Cold Case Killer Profile was a good blend of romance, suspense, and faith and I enjoyed reading Brigitte and Duke’s story and can’t wait to read the next in this series. Though it wasn’t quite as good as the first book in the series it was still a great story and I recommend it to lovers of romantic suspense.

In the first couple of pages, you not only get a very important setting for the book, you also learn much about one of the main characters, Brigette. Before you think badly of that, let me give you the first sentence of the book: Any other woman might recoil at the chilling howl of the cunning and opportunistic coyote, but not Brigitte Linsey. And now, you want to know why not her, right? Jessica Patch brings her characters into your life and makes it very difficult to put them aside until those magical words: The End. Fair warning--Brigette and Duke may hang around even after that! If you're looking for a plot with twists and turns and some loop-de-loops, Cold Case Killer Profile is for you. I would never in a million years have guessed the killer. The action is almost non-stop, but there are a few breaks for tender and/or romantic moments. I highly recommend this book and will definitely read more by this author.
I received a complimentary copy, (but I always buy one to keep) and am sharing my opinion of this very well written romantic suspense novel.

Great suspense!
This is a novel that grabs your attention on the very first page and doesn't let go until the very end.
“What if he profiled the fact that she might be crushing on him? A whole new kind of fear crept over her skin, and she debated going back inside, but a killer had come after her for the third time now. She was no cat. No nine lives. That meant they had to stop him. Fast.”
I received an ARC of this book for review. I was not required to write a favorable review. All opinions in this review are my own.

Cold Case Killer Profile by Jessica R. Patch, is the second book in her Quantico Profiles Love Inspired Suspense series.

When Brigitte Linsey is targeted by a serial killer, she partners with FBI special agent Duke Jericho to catch the person and stay alive.

Serial killer stories can be so … creepy. Usually I avoid them or at least read them by the light of day. However, because this is a Love Inspired story, that aspect was toned down, which mean I could fully enjoy this story!

I loved the high amount of suspense, the twists and turns of who the bad guy is, not to mention the figuring out why Brigitte is being targeted in a way unlike the other victims. Then there’s Duke, who is an awesome hero.

If you like intense stories, but ones you can still read at night, then try Cold Case Killer Profile. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

Cold Case Killer by Jessica was an intriguing and action packed romantic suspense in the inspiration genre.

Brigitte is out painting and stumbles upon a murder. It ends of being a victim of the Sunset Serial Killer. Duke is a profiler with the FBI and is brought in to help on the case. They have instant chemistry and respect for one another. I liked that it wasn’t all physical. You could see how they were respecting each other.

A secondary storyline was of Brigitte taking care of her dad with Alzheimer’s. It is heartbreaking to see what the family goes through.

Duke was a great character. I instantly liked him when he entered the scene. There was a lot of action in the first half of the book and the second half of the story took us through the working of the case file info and the new leads.

The author did a great job creating enough suspects to keep you guessing. And I was satisfied with how it ended.

Sexual content - kissing (1)
Violence - (2) serial killer, several people die and we revisits some of the prior murders
No drinking, drugs or profanity.

I have enjoyed Jessica Patch's Love Inspired Suspense for years now and they just keep getting better and better. She is really knocking it out of the park with this Quantico Profilers series. One of my favorite types of suspense stories is a hunt for a serial killer so this story did not let me down. Brigitte, the heroine, is a witness to a murder by the Sunrise Serial Killer. Together with FBI agent Duke Jericho, they set off to track down this killer once and for all. It quickly becomes obvious that she is his next target and he will stop at nothing to get to her. What begins is an edge of your seat, action-packed roller coaster ride until the very end. This story is filled with lots of twists and turns and suspects to wonder about and an ending I never saw coming!

This can definitely be read as a standalone, but there are some updates on the couple from book one. So if you want to know the background on their story, I would recommend starting with Texas Cold Case Threat.

Thank you to the author and publisher for a copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Jessica's latest thriller is set in West Texas. I was moved by Bridgette's caring for her father and his struggle with Alzheimers. My favorite part though was how much art and artistic themes were used. I always love to see how artistic people view the world. The mystery is engrossing as well.

Brigitte is a forensic artist who loves painting and does it on the side, unfortunately for her while looking for an inspiring landscape to pain she stumbles upon a body and killer. The manages to get away and now the killer set his sights on her. Duke is a FBI agent helping out and keeping her safe and finding the person behind it.

This was such a nonstop ride. I loved that the killer was keeping the characters and readers on their toes. There was clearly something going on and I couldn't wait to see the bigger picture as the pair piece things together. I also enjoyed the bit of romance that was going on between the two and that it had remained clean. I loved that I just couldn't wait to see what happens next as I watch the killer getting more bold and out there with stalking her and strikes against her. Just a great read I really enjoyed it.

This is a new favorite author. She has a way of writing suspense like no one else. This one gripped me from the start. Brigette sees a killer escaping, and she’s on his list next. Duke comes to town to solve the case, and he has to protect her. There are also more secrets happening, and Brigette has to figure out what’s going on with her memories that don’t match. Racing against time to stop her from being the next victim, the couple has to find the truth before it’s too late. Seeing the small town setting against the hunt for a killer was great, along with sweet romance. I loved the happy ending.

Jessica R. Patch knows how to write a thriller! Feisty, contentious police officer/artist Brigitte Linsey and cautious, discerning behavioral analyst FBI Special Agent Duke Jericho team up to stop the Sunrise Serial Killer. The SSK has targeted Brigitte after she interrupted him, and Duke is disturbed to discover he is more than professionally concerned about Brigitte's safety. This story has a fast pace, an age-gap romance, and Patch's signature psychological twists and turns. Don't miss it!
