Satia St. Clair is a microbiologist who has a mishap while taking samples from a very special loch in Scotland. She didn't expect to be pulled through time to the fourteenth century.
Kane Macpherson is a very well respected warrior for Robert the Bruce. There is something very strange about the fascinating woman he saves from the loch.
An action packed time travel romance filled with great characters, humour and some tears. Both our hero and heroine have to make heartbreaking decisions. Which one will make the ultimate choice.
Great fun.

A truly beautiful tale of a love across time. Maeve Greyson has a way of making a story take root in your heart. The emotions of the characters comes alive and cannot be quieted.
Satia St.Clair is a scientist studying the Loch to find answers to her research that might help her sisters battles with cancer. While investigated in the Loch, the ledge gives way pulling her deep into bottom of the Loch. When she comes to she is being rescued by a large highland warrior, Kane MacPhearson. Kane feels an instinctive pull to protect this strange lass, and despite not trusting any but her sister Satia cannot help but feel pulled to him as well. Living in the fourteenth century requires Satia to be constantly on guard. But her knowledge of the war of Robert the Bruce makes it hard for her to keep quiet. For two intrinsically solitary people, trusting their love will be the ultimate test. But their happily ever after will have you in tears.

Satia St. Clair, a street smart, socially aloof, microbiologist, is literally immersed in her research at a Highland loch, An Lochan Uaine when a crumbling ledge tosses her into its murky depths without her diving gear. The last thing she expects is for a 14th century Scottish warlord to pull her to safety. Kane Macpherson half believes her to be a faerie queen. But even when common sense wins out, something about the beguiling lass demands she be treated like the special woman he instinctively knows she is and he swears to protect her from anyone or anything. Satia is so drawn to Kane it frightens her. When she discovers a critical link to her cancer study while in the past, she’s determined to get it back to her time. Her best friend Breanna’s life and the lives of so many others depend on it. But that means ignoring her heart and leaving Kane behind. Hopefully, just for a little while, but possibly forever.
This is the third book in the series & is very easily read as a stand alone. I’m not a great lover of time travel books as I always want to know what happens to those left behind, so I was pleased that this novel addressed that. I really liked both Kane & Satia, the chemistry between them was electric & they both fell hard. The secondary characters were also well portrayed, life in the fourteenth century was hard especially when the Battle of Bannockburn loomed & not everyone survived. A well written engrossing which I read in a couple of sittings
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Satia is tired, frustrated and angry at a betrayal by someone she trusted. That is why she is at a Loch attempted to prove her scientific theory. But the fates step in and change everything. She awakens in Scotland, but during the time of Robert the Bruce. She is rescued by a large, overbearing Scot by the name of Kane. As he accepts her very strange story, she begins to find something she has never had: love. But, she may not get to keep it or him.
This was a fun new book in the series - with a few surprising twists!

I enjoyed this Scottish historical romance which surprised me in a good way. As I tend to not like historical fiction set in the highlands. As it normally seems over the top. But this one had a nice balance. To it.

I was attracted to this book by the author and the lovely cover but really should have known better, as experience has shown me that, with very few exceptions, I do not relate well to time travel novels. Nevertheless, the plot is good, there is a cute romance between the Alpha Highland warrior and a modern-day, feisty research scientist who has survived the worst that the 21st century could throw at her, possibly making her imminently suitable for adapting to medieval times. Kane is every woman's hero and although Satia has a smart mouth she wins his friends over and finds them as protective of her as Kane himself. I am sure that Maeve Greyson fans will thoroughly enjoy this novel as well as time travel enthusiasts. I received a copy of this romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
