A sweet story of learning to love. Cassie had once imagined her life as a wife and mother with a happy family, but those dreams died when the man she thought she loved left her at he alter. She vowed never to love again. Quinn loved for his work, serving her Majesty as a spy. When he inherited the Earldom and his 2 young nieces along with it, he vowed to care for them but that his work would always come before all else. When chance brings these two together, Cassie’s grandmother sees what could be and schemes to have them wed. Using logic, they could solve each other’s problems. Cassie had the money needed to save Quinn’s properties and his brothers debts and Quinn could take care of Cassie and protect her after her grandmother was gone. The more time they spend as a couple building their family with their 2 girls, the quicker they realize they have both lost their hearts. But can Cassie stand by while her husband leaves at the drop of hat with no explanations every time her majesty calls? Can she live with the fear that his work could end his life? Through a number of trials, these two come to realize that love wins against all else. I truly enjoyed this nice, light read. The characters were built nicely so they each resonate within your heart.

It seems an age since I've read any of Laura's stories. This is a clean read only kisses. The Colonel and his two friends are spies and really enjoy theur work. There's a topical link as they have returned from the war in Crimea. Quinn finds that he's inherited his brothers title as well as his two neices. Unfortunately his brother left the estate in a very poor state. Whilst riding on a very rainy day he almost collides with a lady, Cassie. He returns her to her grandmother and tends her wounds. The grandmother, seeking to protect Cassie suggests a marriage of convenience. The story continues with Cassie & Quinn realising they have feelings for each other and Cassie becoming more peturbed about the danger Quinn faces.
Good read. I will probably look for other books in the series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Colonel Quentin Beckham has just inherited the title of Earl of Rosemont. It brings him a lot more responsibilities than he ever thought it would. Not the least of them being two very young nieces. Unfortunately the estate is also heavily in debt.
Our hero work for the Crown is extremely important to him and the country. He has no intention of giving it up.
Lady Cassandra Worth was humiliated years ago by a man she loved and never intends to risk her heart again.
Our heroine is a very wealthy heiress, but that puts her at risk even from her own family. Her grandmother decided to do all she can to protect her.
A sweet historical romance that is very emotional at times. I personally though both our lead characters a bit self-centered and dependant on others for their happiness. There is quite a shock at the end.
Entertaining read.

In the beginning of "A Love For All Time" the main characters literally collide, and so begins the story of their journey to love. Colonel Quinten Beckham, now Earl of Rosemont, and Lady Cassandra Worth enter into a marriage of convenience. There are strategically placed hurdles that the author introduces to this arrangement at the beginning of the story. Everything was beautifully arranged to proceed with a story that had tension and build up to the moments of growth these characters would have to take on their path to loving and trusting one another. What actually occurred threw my expectations completely sideways.
Imagine you are driving home and you arrive there, but upon reflection you realize that you don’t remember the entire drive. The person in the driver’s seat tells you that you were nodding along while they were talking, but you don’t remember what they said because you sort of blanked out. Now apply this analogy to reading a book where a couple goes from zero to love in the span of sixty-seconds. That is what happened to me when reading this story. My forehead scrunched, and I wore a quizzical look of someone who just arrived at a destination, but they didn’t witness the journey. There was no build up, no tension, no small moments of connection that made the love between these two believable. And this led to the dreaded result of me not caring about the characters.
There was a lot of telling and not showing up until the last quarter of the book. It was in the pinnacle of the third act that I found the one string of tension that held taught through a harrowing scene, and then relaxed as the moment ended happily and showed some character growth. That is the part of the book that redeemed the story a bit, and allowed me to be happy for the characters. It also influenced me to round my rating from 2.5 to 3 stars for this particular portion of the book.
This is a closed door romance (ignore the beautiful, but misleading cover), with insta-love, themes of selflessness, and a little bit of angst towards the end of the story. If this sounds like your cup of tea, this book might be the right fit for you!
Thank you Dragonblade Publishing via NetGalley for an advanced copy of this eARC. All opinions are my own.

TW: Difficult Pregnancy and Labor

A gentle and sweet romance develops out of a near-fatal accident in this charming novel. Quinten, Earl of Rosemont, has his hands full with a destitute estate and two young nieces to take care of after the death of his brother and his wife. When his horse shies in a lightning strike Quinn is appalled to realize that a young woman has been struck by his horse and upon being told where she lives, hastily delivers her to her home. After ensuring that he has done as much as he can, he leaves after extracting a promise from her grandmother that he be summoned if she requires anything else. Not expecting to hear anything further he is surprised when the Dowager Countess of Granville summonses him and puts an unexpected proposal of marriage to her granddaughter before him. Certainly, the Dowager's offer is generous, but can he possibly marry knowing his commitment to the Crown? Lady Cassandra is equally taken aback when her grandmother sets out all the possibilities of her future before her, especially if she remains unmarried and at the mercy of her wastrel uncles. Whilst marriage is agreed upon, falling in love is not part of the equation. Nevertheless, Quinn is the perfect gentleman and leaves the final say to Cassie, and when she agrees to his proposal, he is more than a little relieved. He is more so when he realizes just how capable and intelligent Cassie is, and especially at how well she relates to his wards. As luck would have it, Quinn gets sent on a mission that lasts considerably longer than anticipated, and it almost derails the accord that he and Cassie have reached. Ultimately, they both have choices to make. This gentle romance comes to a surprising conclusion, but not without some suspense along the way. I received a copy of this novel as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

💋💋
A very enjoyable beginning to this series and I’m looking forward to reading more.
Great characters with so much passion and romance in their soles, it makes you want to sigh with pleasure reading about them.
Earl of Rosemont is a soldier who intends to return to duty , but he needs a wife to care for his nieces.
That’s where Cassie comes into the story, she’s sweet and thoughtful and loving, especially with the children.
Great read
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Colonel Quinten Beckham has inherited the title Earl of Rosemont, when his brother dies in a carriage accident. He’s left not only with a rundown estate and a mountain of debts, but his brother’s two young children. Now he must find a way to raise his two nieces, keep his estate afloat, and continue his dangerous undercover work. During heavy rain Quinn’s horse collides with a young woman, he takes her to her nearby home & fins that she’s Lady Cassandra Worth, the grand daughter of Dowager Countess of Granville. A few days later he’s summoned by the Countess & her proposal staggers him. Neither Quinn nor Cassie wish to marry but the Dowager Countess is ill & wishes to save Cassie from her wastrel sons.
The first of a new series & a delightful read, which I read in a sitting & finished well into the night. I loved both Quinn & Cassie, he’s a highly decorated Colonel who puts his country first but is honourable, caring & always respects Cassie’s decisions. Cassie is an intelligent & very capable young woman, she even takes over the books for the earldom. I loved how their relationship grew & changed. Quinn being sent on a mission nearly derailed their burgeoning feelings. There are a couple of surprises, a delightful five year old niece & two close friends & fellow spies of Quinn, I hope they feature in future books
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
