I enjoyed the first book of the series but loved this second one! Merry and Clark are relationship goals and Jace was the cherry on top. Super cute!

My Thoughts:
First and foremost as an Idahoan, I loved that this one was based in Idaho, even if the town was made up.

I loved the inclusion of the festival of trees as that is something that my family went to every year on thanksgiving day as part of our traditions to kick off the Christmas season.

The romance between Merry and Clark was cute and I loved the setting of the family Christmas tree farm.

I normally don’t love single parent plots cause the kids are often written to be annoying or not included so it doesn’t make sense why it was a plot point, but Jace was just such a cutie and made my heart melt for his little character.

All in all this is a cozy and cute holiday romance and I’d definitely recommend adding it to your TBR if you haven’t already!

There’s Something About Merry is a beautiful, heartwarming and funny small-town Christmas romance that gives you all the feels and leaves you wanting more!

The story started a little slow for me but once I got my footing, I was immediately whisked away to Mistletoe, Idaho where an enchanting and exuberant family–aptly named The Winters–own a bustling Christmas tree farm. And on this farm there is a rugged, sexy foreman named Clark and his super cute seven-year-old son Jace.

Because of a painful past, Clark holds his emotions and feelings close to the vest keeping everyone at arm’s length, with the exception of his son and brother. But working on the farm and being accepted into the Winters’ family fold, Clark finds his smiles are less strained and more frequent, except when it comes to The Winters’ oldest daughter Merry. She’s a temptation he doesn’t want or need… or does he?

Merry has been back home at the farm healing from a bad breakup. Her dream is to take over the Christmas tree farm after her dad retires and is having a hard time trying to convince him she is serious. She’s pretty peeved her dad hired a new foreman to work the farm and doesn’t feel like her dad trusts her with the family business. I mean, yeah Clark is super handsome and once upon a time, she had a crush on him when he worked at the farm when they were teens, but he didn’t feel the same. Clark's cool demeanor towards her confirms her feelings about his disinterest… until some things start to happen and Merry isn’t so sure she’s correct in her assumptions.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Merry is wonderfully kind, quirky, so funny and has a heart of gold. I absolutely loved her! All the characters are amazing, well thought out, lovingly crafted and so easily relatable! The storyline is fun, heartwarming and everything you want in a Christmas romance. I did not want to put it down!

I laughed, loved and got a little misty-eyed with the cute and fun storyline, amazing characters and funny dialogue! The story is so sweet and so heartfelt and it gave me so much joy to read. I am an absolute fan of Codi Hall now and I cannot wait for the next book!

There is definitely Something About Merry and it’s absolutely delightful! I highly recommend this wonderful Christmas read!

There's Something About Merry is my fave holiday read so far this year. I absolutely love Merry and Clark, two relatable and lovable characters that I was rooting for from the very beginning. Then add in an adorable kid, some lovable family members, a Christmas setting, and then throw in some crafts and you have the perfect recipe for holiday rom-com. I am all in on this being a Hallmark film or Netflix to allow the spice to stay. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENCE! That is all I can say. I absolutely love the You-ve-got-mail-trope and it was executed perfectly. This book was so funny and heartwarming and is the perfect Christmas read. The whole idea was just so fun. Voodoo Peens? Yes please! Count me in! The cast of characters was perfect and so funny. The love story was snarky and swoon worthy. I am honestly so stoked to have gotten to discover this book.

What a perfect read for the holiday season!

First, Thank you so much NetGalley and Source Books Casablanca for the ARC! I read "Nick and Noel's Christmas Playlist" last year and fell in love. I knew I wanted to continue reading about this amazing family and see what was in store for the Mistletoe Romance series. If the series is to go on like this it may turn out to be one of my favorite.

What an absolute joy to read! Thanks to a long drawn out reading slump it has been a while since I have been so engrossed in a book, thinking about the characters and the world they live in while performing menial tasks in mine, excited for the moment I could pick the book up again and immerse myself back in it.

Merry and Clark had discernible chemistry, it wasn't overtly spicy, but it didn't need to be. The tension and moments they had together was rewarding and heart warming.

One of the biggest highlights of this book, for me, was the found family. Some of the my favorite moments involved secondary characters who brought heart and levity to the story. The Winters family are a favorite and I cannot wait to read more about them. I see a future for Holly and Sam but picture this, Holly and Declan?! Super grumpy, scrooge-like guy secretly in love with sunshine Holly? In the end she gets him to love Christmas?!

Small Spoiler regarding a sub plot; When I first starting reading about the puppy I thought "Oh no, I'm going to have to DNF this' due to the animal abuse and my intolerance to it, I wanted a sweet seasonal read nothing heavy. HOWEVER, that entire situation was done very well, I was able to continue reading without it souring the book for me.

I did not enjoy this book. There was no substance behind anything in this book. It was repetitive and overly sexualized. Not a fan.

Such a fun adorable Christmas romance. What is more Christmas than your family owning a Christmas tree farm well apparently it’s when they name their children in ways that are connected to Christmas. Here we have Mary go find her self becoming attracted to a single dad. It’s a fun cute small town romance that happens to be perfect to read for the holidays.

A sweet fun holiday book. It definetly read like a Hallmark Christmas movie. I didn't realize it was book 2 but they seem to be standalone books also which is nice.

This was a cute sequel for the most cliche of the cheesy hallmark movie books, but it’s light and not dramatic so pretty fun.

Good god, though…. The slang. It was fun at first: listing the amount of “dogging” and “thangs” in one chapter. But then it was tedious. Just so so tedious. What is it about a white guy that’s never had any hardships using the word “thang” that makes him SO PUNCHABLE?

Thanks #netgalley !

There’s Something About Merry is the perfect holiday second chance romance story. It’s full of hope, swooning, steaminess and love. With family connections at the heart of this story you can’t help but fall in love with the characters who push each other, support each other and protect each other. This feel good romance will have your heart pitter pattering through the holidays.

This was cute! I had a fun time reading this second chance romance! And we got a hot single dad rep! Yaaaasss.
I loved Codis first book in this series and this one also did not disappoint! We follow Merry who is the sister to Nick from book one and she's basically given up on finding love in their small town until she starts a romance with a guy she meets online who maybe happens to be her hot almost ex bf who is in town with his 5 year old son and has definitely grown up a lot!
There isn't too much smut in this one so it's a perfect sweet romance read and also obviously a holiday read. 😉
I hope we get more books following the older sister and brother of our mcs from this one!

another comforting, wholesome christmas story from codi hall <3

Irresistible single dad heroHeartwarming second chance at love storyThe healing magic of the holiday seasonWarm nights on the family Christmas tree farm
A guarded single dad. A woman scared to love. Clark Griffin and Merry Winters are determined to be friends and nothing more. There's Something About Merry is the second book in the Mistletoe Romance series by Codi Hall. While returning readers will have a better understanding of the town and its cast of characters, new comers to the series can fully enjoy the story as well. This is a contemporary second chance love story featuring a guarded single dad and a woman scared to love. Clark Griffin and Merry Winters are determined to be friends and nothing more. But they've been anonymously flirting with each other online, and with a little Christmas magic and the help of a precocious kid, these two might just get their one wish this year.

There's Something About Merry is a fun and entertaining read. Clark is a bit wary of romance, since his only serious relationship crashed and burned hard, and he has his son's welfare to consider. Merry does not trust herself, since she seems to always pick the wrong guy. A rekindled acquaintance and a twist of internet dating fate start these two on a path to something. I liked the premise, but I have to be honest that there was way too much going on here. I loved the secondary characters and some of the really great moments, but I felt like there were just too many of them. It felt like the author had a list of great ideas, and worked hard to fit them in one book instead of saving some for later. There were great family moments, great budding friendship moments, great kid moments, awkward moments, and so on. It was all well written, but not all necessary in a single book- some could have been save for the next book in the series. I did feel like Clark and Merry were meant to be, and that the family tree farm and being a single dad along with their individual issues could have been more than enough to make this book complete without some of the additional complications that arise, no matter how well they were handled.

There's Something About Merry is an engaging and entertaining read.

Moving back to her home town of Mistletoe, Idaho, Merry Winters is ready to restart her life. After surviving her share of more than a few dating disappointments she is ready to settle down on her family’s Christmas tree farm and find her soul mate. Confident that happily ever after is at her fingertips, Merry downloads the latest dating app. Knottygirl25 begins her matchmaking search and is instantly attracted to a Woodsman who crafts adorable snowmen. A chain of flirty messaging ensues at the same time a new foreman appears on the farm, Clark Griffin. While this responsible single dad is off the chart handsome he remains purely professional with Merry, not willing to risk his new job and friendship with her family. Purposefully keeping his distance, Clark often appears distant and cold. The truth is he would like more than anything a friend to confide in and cuddle with on these long winter nights. Way out of practice, Clark decides messaging anonymously on his dating app is a lot easier than a face to face. More than a little intrigued the two unknowingly arrange a date. As the sparks begin to fly it will take more than a kiss under the mistletoe to make this swipe a real love match. Filled with romcom mishaps and holiday hallmark, this is an easy breezy bit of seasonal fun.

A family Christmas tree farm, a single daughter named Merry, and a hot foreman with an adorable son. This is everything you want in a Christmas book! The setting was fun and the family antics relatable. I loved the single dad aspect and the son was adorable. This was witty and fun, and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!
