A lifelong fascination with fashion magazines led me to listen to this audiobook, and I'm so glad I did. Amy Odell paints quite a full picture of Vogue's longtime editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour in a way I wasn't expecting. SO many details!! Conversations she's had, meetings she's led, tons of behind the scenes info - all of it gives a much more rounded portrait of Anna. Details about her mother and father and the world that shaped her help explain a lot about her, and explains a lot about how she operates in the business world. Imogen Church is an amazing narrator and has a way of making a 15 1/2 hour audiobook seem like a chat with a very well-informed pal. I DEVOURED this book, and now not only have a new favorite author, but a new fave audiobook narrator as well.
