I received an epub copy from NetGalley for an honest review. This book was an enjoyable read about a time that can be stressful for people. The characters were relatable and I enjoyed the mystery. Who did it was kind of obvious but the story was still entertaining.

I love Lynn Cahoon and have read most all of her books. That being said, this was not one of my favorites. It has a good premise, but it felt hurried and I lacked a connection with the main character.

Rarity opens a bookstore and quickly starts a book club for cancer survivors. After the second meeting, the first of which we meet most of the characters, one of the ladies goes missing. They all decide to look into her disappearance and agree to add sleuthing to their club.

I am hopeful for the rest of the series as I know we will continue to learn more about Rarity and the characters in her story. I do love the name The Next Chapter for her bookstore.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington for the ARC Kindle version of The Tuesday Night Survivor’s Club by Lynn Cahoon.

I've never read a book by this author, but will have to look for her other books after reading this one! I was a little hesitated on reading it due to the cancer topic since I lost my Aunt to breast cancer 29 years ago so the topic can be a trigger for me. However, even though cancer is the reason the book club formed, it wasn't the main topic of their meetings. Even book discussion wasn't the topic, solving a murder was! I enjoyed how each member was interested in solving the murder snd each were involved in finding informatio. The.main character did get on my nerves at times as did her best friend but I still ended up enjoying their friendship. I am hoping the 2nd book will have the other group members a little bit more in the book, I'd like to get to know them a little bit more. As for the mystery, I thought it was pretty good and I did go back and forth as to who was the murderer. Oh, how can I forget to mention the dog Killer because every Cozy should have a furbaby, loved him! Overall I enjoyed the book and it drew me right from the beginning. Iwill definitely be reading the 2nd one!

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington for the advance copy of The Tuesday Night Survivor’s Club by Lynn Cahoon.

I read a lot of cozy mysteries and am working on my own. After reading so many you see a lot of repeat ideas for the book location a restaurant, coffee shop, a bookstore. While The Tuesday Night Survivor’s Club is set in a bookstore, I had high hopes given that the book focused on the survivor’s club.

Survivors become sleuths to find a missing member of their book club in new-age Sedona, New Mexico . . .

Two things got Rarity Jones through her breast cancer treatments: friends and books. Now cancer-free, Rarity is devoting her life to helping others find their way through the maze to healing. She’s opened a bookstore focusing on the power of healing—Eastern medicine, Western medicine, the healing power of food, the power of meditation, and the importance of developing a support community. To that end, she’s also started the Tuesday Night Survivors book club. With its openness to new-age communities, Sedona, Arizona, is the perfect fit for Rarity’s bookstore and the tightly knit group.

But their therapeutic unity is disrupted when one of their members suddenly goes missing. Martha has always kept to herself, never opening up much of her personal life to the group. Now she’s nowhere to be found. With her car abandoned on a trail and her dog left with a friend, Rarity is sure something terrible has happened—but will she be able to uncover Martha’s secrets before it’s too late?

Rarity Jones was a good main character. I enjoyed learning about her job (running the bookstore) and her past. She was a great amateur sleuth asking questions and compiling them in her book club’s notebook.

There was a lot of supporting cast in this book. There were the members of the Survivor’s Club, Rarity’s best friend, the detective, and the hiking instructor. I felt like we never got a full grasp of the personalities of the club members, and I hope in the future that is expanded. These women have been through so much and I would like to know more. We did learn a little about one, but the others were just there are fillers. Rarity’s friendship with Sam annoyed me. Sam got upset with Rarity just because she talked to someone. I felt that was pretty childish. I also felt like if she was truly a good friend, she would have been more supportive.

I did not feel as transported to locations as I have in other cozy mysteries. I wanted to learn more about Sedona, but I felt like that was only done with descriptions listing the stores. I couldn’t picture the layout in my mind.
As for the mystery of the book, the mystery was slow. I did not feel pulled in and maybe that was because it took a while to find that there was a dead body or maybe it was just a slow mystery. I also figured out the killer relatively quickly (I did not know the reasons) and that made it feel even slower.

The Tuesday Night Survivor’s Club was a good concept, and I will likely read book two to see if some of my complaints from book one is addressed. Have you read this book? Get your copy for the June 14th publication.

Ms. Cahoon’s tale of a cancer survivor moving on and reclaiming her life is a winner! Her characters are well fleshed out. We meet them and see where they make the decisions they do and she describes a wonderfully supportive town, where anyone would all love to live. She adds a bit of romance to her intrigue to round things out. I would highly recommend to any cozy lover, but especially to survivors, as it resonated for me. I loved this book!
I requested and received a Net Gallery ARC to peruse and offer my opinion gratis.

As soon as I read “Sedona, bookshop, cancer survivors, cozy mystery” I was down for this book! Our main character is exactly the type of understated badass I’d like to be friends with. If you’re in the market for a quick, easy mystery to curl up with, don’t miss this one! Mrs. Cahoon did an exceptional job laying the groundwork and building the characters for her new series. I’ll be looking forward to the next one!

I was given a chance to read this ARC with the promise of an honest opinion on how I liked and enjoyed the book. I can honestly say this was an enjoyable read!

Rarity is a cancer survivor and wants nothing more than to help others, so she uses her books as a way to reach out to people. Creating a survivors book group is one of the ways Rarity wants to connect with other cancer survivors. By giving them friendships and books, she hopes that those things will help others as they helped as she dealt with her cancer. Everything goes smoothly until one of the members suddenly disappears, and is ultimately found dead, murdered! And the book club members wants to know why, how and who!

This book is not a typical cozy mystery. There are several twists and turns to the conclusion. The characters are interesting and colorful, which makes it a fun read and easy read.

Fantastic character development and plot with the depth to entertain for hours! I rarely give cozy mysteries 5 stars, but this book definitely deserves a 5-star rating. The topic of cancer is often treated as something to be whispered about and shunned in discussion, but this book takes that topic and puts it right out front and center without it being disingenuous or disturbing. While the central theme is a woman starting over with a new career as a bookstore owner, a new home in Arizona and solving a murder along the way, it also shows a strong woman curating a group of friends that are also cancer survivors along with friends who have not been touched by cancer personally. The characters are so strong and supportive that it makes you wish they were in your own world! I absolutely can not wait to read what comes next for these characters in the next book!

Rarity Cole is a survivor of breast cancer. After a failed romance and beating cancer she moves to Sedona ,AZ. There she opens a book store and reconnects with her college roommate. Rarity begins the Tuesday Night Surviors Book Club but soon becomes a team of women who investigate a members untimely death. This is a fun cozy mystery with vibes of a future Hallmark movie. #Netgalley

The first in a new cozy mystery series! Rarity is a breast cancer survivor who has moved to Arizona to get a new grasp on life. She opens a bookstore of her own and decides to create a book club for cancer survivors. Things are going well until one of the members goes missing, and then is found murdered. Rarity and the book club decide to add sleuthing to their meetings to try to figure out what happened.

I liked this cozy mystery! The whodunit was a bit predictable to me, but I still enjoyed the characters and clues. I will definitely read more in this series when they come out.

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club by Lynn Cahoon is the first book in the Survivors’ Book Club series. I've read all of Lynn Cahoon's series so I was excited to read this one.

The series follows Rarity Cole as she moves to Sedona, Arizona after beating cancer and breaking up with her long time partner. She decides to move to the tourist town to open a book shop next to her best friend's crystal and jewelry shop. There she starts a book club for cancer survivors, to meet new people and support one another. The club quickly turns to sleuthing when one of the members is found dead.
Rarity meets some interesting new friends, a potential romantic interest or two and even gains a very cute dog. There's lots of potential for stories surrounding them in the future. The town itself is also very interesting and Lynn Cahoon is always great at making your feel like you can picture the settings perfectly.
I give it 4 stars because there could have been more in depth character development, but I notice that can happen with 1st books in a series as there is so much to introduce.
Looking forward to what's next!

Although I've been fortunate not to experience cancer, I still want to visit this bookstore and community! What a lovely group and mysteries are always welcome. It was a great read and perfect for some of my patrons!

This was such a fun book to read! I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline. It is not your traditional mystery storyline either, it is very unique. It kept me glued to the pages and on my toes! I hope this continues as a series! I would love to see it. This was my first book by Lynn Cahoon and it won't be my last!

I love Lynn Cahoon’s books! I am always able to put myself in the book with the characters on their murder solving journeys.
Lynn’s new series is the “Survivors’ Book Club Mystery.” In the first book of the series, “The Tuesday Night Survivors Club,” Rarity Cole lives in Sedona, Arizona. She owns a bookstore “The Last Chapter” and is a cancer survivor who wants to put together a survivors book club. At her first meeting, Shirley is the only one that attends. At the second meeting, a few more people attend. They find out later that one of the members, Martha, is missing. Sam is Rarity’s best friend who owns the crystal shop next door. While the police investigate, Rarity and Sam do some investigating of their own wile Rarity takes care of Martha’s small dog named Killer.
This book takes us on an exciting new journey with some great new characters that I can’t wait to learn more about. There is also some romance in the air for our new characters.

Thank you Net Galley, Lynn Cahoon and Kensington Books-- Lyrical Press Publishing for providing me with my ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me read an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This book will come out June 14!

This ended up being a 3 star read. I'm still relatively new to the "amateur sleuthing" aspect of a cozy mystery book, however, this book didn't really live up to my expectation.

The first quarter of the book read like a woman's fictional book- which I didn't mind. There was a lot of telling and a lot of describing things that I felt weren't that important. After this, the pace is still rather slow and I struggled to stay engaged. I do appreciate that the ending is wrapped up and everything is squared away. However, I felt that somethings in the ending just didn't seem realistic.

Overall, it was a good book (albeit a little flat with the characters) and I think if readers have already read their share of cozy mysteries/amateur sleuthing, then they would enjoy this book.

This was a fun little cozy mystery. I loved the characters though they were a little underdeveloped. Look forward to potential stories with this "club"

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. the possibility for more adventures with this crew is left open, so I hope this means a lot more adventures with this crew. It was a great read and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.

The Tuesday Night Survivors Club by Lynn Cahoon . I think this particular book would be better suited for young teens. There wasn’t much depth to the characters and the friendships were on the juvenile side especially between friends Rarity and. Sam. The only thing I did like was the setting of the village. I really didn’t enjoy the writing of this author. Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read this novel.

I love cozy mysteries and I love bookstores! So this book covers two of my favorite things. This book is well written, keeps you turning the page, and has a great plot. What more could you ask for? Oh, of course, it has the hot men to remind us about love.
