I received a complimentary copy of Naked Hustle in exchange for an honest review. This was absolutely a once in a lifetime novel. This girl Lotoya was a complete train wreck! Sadly, Latoya's story is probably more prevelant then it first appears. Naked Hustle covers a lot of topics of abuse, self esteem issues, narcacism, exoctic dancing, homicides, and gang activity. Again, all dark topics and not for the faint of heart. If you are looking for a feel good romance move along people, "nothing to see here."

LaToya only knows hardship. At a young age, with a drug-addict mother, she was put out on the streets. No matter what LaToya does to improve her place in life, someone is always there to put her back down. The story works round and round the ups and the downs that LaToya goes through to make her way and become successful.

This book will not be for everyone; however, it is an important book to show the cycle drugs and poverty play in life.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book. It is not going to be a book for everyone. Notice the tile and that gives you a big hint of what the story is about. There are a lot of detailed sex parts in this book. I am not a prude when I state that just a heads up. There is some of the storyline that I got something out of but not much. I can’t say I could recommend this book.

This book wasn't a smooth read. The layout was very choppy. The plot wasn't very interesting and I found myself not reaching for this book. It didn't keep my interest.

This book was painful to read. There is no emotional character development - the storyline is told in detached facts. The use of the "n" word shocked me. The main character is unlikeable and only seems to care about money and clothes and getting her way. She makes terrible choices but again, there is no emotional connection made to her to help the reader understand her choices. The whole book reads very choppy. I do not recommend. I regret the time I wasted reading this book.
